Many students in social and applied social sciences programs have experienced significant events, such as mental health issues, loss, or boundary violations. These experiences can be valuable in their future professions but are still insufficiently utilized in current curricula. This project integrates experiential knowledge as a full-fledged knowledge source in the Social Work, Applied Psychology, and Associate Degree programs. Students learn to professionally apply their personal experiences, contributing to recovery, connection, and inclusive education. By structurally integrating experiential knowledge, students are better equipped to connect with the experiences and needs of the people they work with.
