The different approaches on which previous experiences in Dual Training are based have made it advisable to define a framework in which training and work relevant to the market were adequately targeted. The danger of dispersion of the experiences of the regions and States with jurisdiction in this area justified the need for business organizations to provide the means to ensure the unity of the training market and, consequently, the labor market. The key points of the project were aimed at ensuring that the skills acquired by a student after a training process agreed with those defined in the official curriculum. That is, they were adequate to pass to the European Supplements so that employers could recognize them easily and without the need to adopt new certifications.During the design of this project, partners noted that there was a large difference between the unemployment rate of young people in Germany (7.8% in December 2013) and young people in Spain (54.2%), Romania (41.7 per cent) and Italy (46.7 per cent) and they knew experiences in which the use of dual vocational training greatly facilitated the transition to employment, contributing to the reduction of unemployment, especially among young people. as in the case of Germany. The German Dual System is characterized by the fact that companies are the main responsible for vocational training; emphasizes the training in companies and the familiarization of the apprentice with working life at an early stage.The project has been designed with the objective of investigating and transfer the good practices developed in dual vocational training in countries that have already implemented it and to investigate and define the key issues associated with the training through a dual system: the selection of participating companies, the characteristics and role of tutors, the way in which training is related to enterprises and the results of training in terms of skills. The project focused on the Construction, Metal and Food sectors.The consortium has been formed by 6 partners, of different nature: 1 National business organization, 1 business organization of social economy , 3 SMEs related to training and 1 non-profit training center: - Spain: Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (Coordinator) and Liber Formation Center, S.L- Italy: CE.SV.I - Center for innovation and innovation of the cooperative society and Consorzio IES Inclusione Europa Sviluppo- Romania: SC Ru Europe RUL- Germany: Handwerkskammer PotsdamThe activities of the project, beyond those of management, evaluation and dissemination, have been:-Design and analysis of European Good Practices: Analysis of good practices at European level in the field of Dual training, as well as in the participating countries.-Development of methodologies for tutors in companies: Role of the tutor, skills, knowledge, profile of tutor, training, evaluation procedure, etc.-Development of learning methodologies. Design of methodologies for the training of apprentices to be carried out in companies: information on opportunities and advantages for students, forms of access, selection, process, profile.-Project Pilot with companies to test the materials elaborated and Guide for the Implementation of the Dual Training in the companies. A pilot experiment was carried out for the application of the methodology designed for apprentices and tutors in Spain (3 metal, construction and agri-food sectors), Italy (1 sector) and Romania (2 sectors). The Guide includes methodology for the selection and training of tutors and the implementation of training programs in companies for students.-Europass Apprentice Acreditation and EQF . The learning outcomes of the pilot project have been defined in agreement with Europass. A guide has been developed which provides general information on the National Qualifications Framework, together with a detailed description of the certificate supplement. A description of the structure of the Supplement of the specific certificate of each course of the pilot project has been made.The target groups, are Dual Professional Training students, companies, tutors, sectoral and territorial business organizations, training centers, local decision-makers and educational authorities.As a result of the activities carried out, the following materials have been published in 5 languages, and transferred to different territorial areas:-Analyses and design of European good practices- Educational material for tutors - Methodological design of apprenticeship training in the business - Guide for the implementation of the dual training in business- Validation Europass Apprentice
