<< Objectives >>The general objective of InnoMeatEdu is to use the potential of Europe’s human and social capital originating from Higher Education organisations and the meat industry, in order to exchange and transfer knowledge and know-how in meat science and technology education, by the creation of an e-platform freely accesible. For this purpose, 5 HE institutions, 1 research center and 1 consulting/communication company joined in a consortium. In addition, 33 associated partners support InnoMeatEdu.<< Implementation >>InnoMeatEdu refers to the development of innovative, digital training material for students, professors and professionals of the meat sector. The project is divided into five Work Packages: WP1. Management; WP2. Meat Sci. and Technol. training in HE: Competence Framework Development; WP3. Innovative Training Material Development; and WP5. Connection with the meat industry, dissemination and sustainability.<< Results >>The digital training material produced referring to meat production and processing, safety, quality and entrepreneurship, and sustainability in the meat sector will be freely accessible in the format of Massive Open Online Courses-MOOC through an interactive platform that will be developed under the scope of the project and will be available in several languages. InnoMeatEdu is based on the cooperation of different institutions and industries, with the collaboration of 33 associated partners.
