<< Background >>The application for this project is motivated for the need to address the existing gender inequalities on partner countries and beyond and to benefit from the global competence and mentoring approaches to empower low skilled women and in situations of vulnerability for advancing their social and labour inclusion.GENDER INEQUALITY is a global problem and according to the Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025 no Member State has achieved full gender equality and it is progressing slowly. In addition, the coronavirus outbreak exacerbates existing inequalitiesIn a context of gender discrimination, women, and especially low skilled, are placed in general in situations that create vulnerability.On the other hand, emerging economic, digital, cultural demographic and environmental forces are shaping everyone’s lifes around the planet and increasing intercultural encounters on a daily basis. To deal with this complex environment it is urgent to equip adults with knowledge, skills and tools to become globally competent.According to the OECD PISA global competence framework, globally competent individuals can:-Live harmoniously in multicultural communities-Thrive in a changing labour market-Use media platforms effectively and responsibly-Support the Sustainable Development Goals- Pursuit lifelong learning and stay active, open and curious.Based on the global competence, the UPCOMING WOMEN project has a strategic interest in targeting:-Low skilled women and facing situations that create vulnerability: migrants, survivors of gender based discrimination and violence, survivors of human trafficking, people from rural areas.By empowering these women the UPCOMING WOMEN project will also address the need to equally provide the same space for women to thrive and live fulfilling lives and equally contribute toward the economic and social development of their communities. One of the ways of empowering women is through upskilling them in different areas to promote and facilitate their social and labor inclusion. Women will be engaged in the three project results of the project.-Professionals working in the field: trainers, educators, social workers, counselors and other staff. The UPCOMING WOMEN project will also equip the professionals with bespoke gender based digital tools and methodologies on global competence and mentoring to better support the low skilled women and in diverse situations of vulnerability to cope with everyday challenges and to move towards women's full participation in all areas of society.<< Objectives >>-To empower and upskill low skilled women and in situations of vulnerability for they to become more globally competent and therefore to boost their social and labor inclusion.-To upskill professionals by equiping them with globally competent and gender- based digital tools and mentoring methodologies to improve their work with low skilled women and in situations of vulnerability and better support them.-To raise awareness about gender inequalities and advance gender equality- To promote a network of organisations from Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece and Turkey to build innovation at more global level and ensure a broaden transferability and sustainability of the project.<< Implementation >>-Project management activities: to monitor that the project and project activities meet the objetives proposed ensuring its quality in line with proposal and timeline. -Quality Assurance: to ensure the quality of the processes and results of the project by constantly monitoring and foreseeing measures.- Impact Assessment: to evaluate the impact of the project on target groups, participating organisations and relevant stakholders. Other impacts: methodological, didactic and digitial.-Project results: the production of 3 project results, namely the Interactive Microlearning courses, the Experimental workshops and the Mentoring programme to achieve the objectives of the project and alow their transferability to the target groups.-Multiplier events: 5 multiplier National webinars and a Final International event help to achieve the results by expanding the number of recipients of the project results. They will allow to raise the awareness of the main stakeholders about the topics of the project and will contribute to further promotion and sustainability of the project.-Sharing and promotion: to disseminate the project and results from local to international level and reach a vast target audience.-Sustainabity actions: to ensure the exploitation and continuity of the benefits of the project after its completion.<< Results >>To achieve its objectives, UPCOMING WOMEN will develop:-Interactive Microlearning courses offering a microlearning path on global competence for both target groups, women and professionals.-Experimental workshops on global competences to equip professionals with bespoke digital tools to improve their intervention with low skilled women and in situations of vulnerability.-A bespoke Mentoring programme on global competence for professionals better support women to feel more empowered to cope with the challenges they face every day and advancing their social and labour inclusion. The UPCOMING WOMEN project also expect:-Boost the social and labour inclusion of low skilled women in situation of vulnerability through the development of global competence and through mentoring methodologies.-Strengthen the skills and capacities both internally (professionals working in partnership) and externally (other professionals, associate partners and stakeholders).-Promote continuos professional development and adoption of global competence approaches and mentoring methologies in their practices.-Ensure the attainment of high quality tools, useful for the whole consortium and beyond.-Adoption of an intercultural perspective derived from the transnational cooperation.-Application of the knowledge, skills and resources acquired in partners organisations.-Empower globally competent citizens. That’s mean more openness and - empathy towards people from other cultures, communicate more effectively, social cohesion, critical thinking, collective thinking, etc.-Enhance organisational development and global understanding.-Strengthening relationships with local partners and key stakeholders through multiplier events, sharing and promotion activities and sustainability actions.-Create a network with strategic partners on the topics of the project to keep working.
