Description

The project subject is the implementation of pedagogical innovations in Mongolia (MNG) to improve the techno-economic skills of graduates and their employability in agrarian and agri-food sectors. The global objective is therefore to improve and modernize the capacities of MNG public universities and HE sector in these fields, so they can educate and train students that, once they graduate, will be able to lead and participate to the modernisation and development of MNG food production capacities, granting the country to gain more independence in this field, benefiting to its economy and society.Consortium:P1, Agrocampus Ouest (AO), Higher Institute for agricultural sciences, France P2, University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), SpainP3, Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (BUAS), RomaniaP4, National University of Mongolia (NUM)P5, Mongolian University of Life Sciences (MULS)P6, Mongolian University of Science and Technologt (MUST)P7, Group for the Environment, Renewable Energy and Solidarity (GERES), NGO, FranceSpecific objectives of the project:1. Experimentation and implementation of e-learning and blended learning, combining complementary face-to-face classes and online learning (illustration, storyboarding, exercises, auto-corrections and exams). Training teachers; creation of e-learning content for Bachelor and Master curriculum; broadcasting it to students, assessment of its quality, sustainability, and further extension.2. Acquisition of complementary technological skills by staff through courses and practical exercises dispensed by EU experts, followed by the creation of MNG appointed platforms (agri-food and quality analysis of meat products, bioclimate greenhouse and gardening; computerized management), partially funded by project grant. Applications: teachings, students practical courses, training of professionals, applied research by teachers and students.3. Development of university-business relationships. Structuration of companies’ network and university internship office (“career centre”) creation. Development of practical work and courses in companies; seminars and workshops. Expected results : improvement of graduates’ employability and quality, enhancing university-enterprise cooperation via spin-off companies best practices.4. Application by MNG staff who followed joint trainings (working groups) of these new knowledge, methods and facilities in their respective universities, while collaborating together during and after the project. Application following the quality plan included in the project proposal. 5. Diffusion of the results at several levels (local, national, international) allowing for analysis and exploitation for further developments, extension and spread, as planned by sustainability perspectives (especially for lifelong learning opportunities and dissemination to civil society). The project allowed to eliminate the existing difficulties and bottlenecks in cooperation with enterprises, clarify these relationships and gave new opportunities to both sides. It aimed to bring cooperation quality to an improved level through new communicative, scientific and business links established between the enterprises and HEIs.Among MNG partners, cooperation in the concerned areas has been improved between institutions and inside the following groups: students, teaching and administrative staff, but also with private companies. At the international level, thanks to the project achievements, what were only simple bilateral relations between partners have transformed into a group dynamic among staff from the different institutions. The first steps to build an operating network are considered as achieved by the different partners of the project.
