I am 'more' than what you see

Description

"While we dream of a happy, creative, democratic, hardworking and productive generation, we cannot ignore the fact that there are countless students in the world who have drug addiction, who use violence with different actions and even kill people. In the researches, it has been determined that acts of violence extend to schools for similar reasons and this is a problem that requires immediate action. The fact that a child dies every half an hour as a result of different violent acts worldwide has been the main factor that unites us. However, let's not forget that these little brains who are exposed to violence and tend to be violent will rule this world in the future. We should declare mobilization in the national and international arena by joining hands as state institutions, educators and families. Our students, who tend to be violent and exemplified in our partner schools, will take an active role in our project studies, which will draw attention to this universal problem, which is very busy with the current global education system and prepared emergency action plans. Our students will present 5 different contemporary art applications such as songs, drama, collage, graffiti and avant-garde make-up in the field of ""art therapy"" internationally in order to raise awareness of violence. These students who are exposed to violence and tend to be violent will realize that they are a member of the society in which they exist and will create an extraordinary awareness in the social platform and related literature in their artistic performances. Italy, Slovakia, France, Portugal and Turkey will run ""I am 'more' than what you see"" project. The project will include 7 mobilities in total, including 5 student mobilities and 2 staff trainings. Related artistic activities will take place on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th days of the mobility. On the 5th day of our project, a presentation of artistic performances will be held publicly in the predetermined area of the host country. With our project, we will have concrete outputs such as 5-song music album, 6 m2 collage and graffiti work, drama video, avant-garde make-up catalog in 5 different arts listed above, and these will impose a multi-national solution mission to our project on intra-school violence and early school dropout. Our project will contribute to the awareness of the participants in 5 different foreign languages. In this way, our project will gain a transnational dimension for language acquisition. Our project will have a different meaning at the EU level in terms of communication with universities, non-governmental organizations, local and national media organizations. Our project consists of students aged 14-18. In the ""short-term exchange of student groups"", 2 teachers and 5 students will participate. LTTs with student participation will take 5 days. Participant staff trainings will be held in Portugal at the beginning of the project and in France at the end. Two teachers from each school will participate in these mobilities. Our main goals in these activities are;-To raise awareness with 5 different artistic good practices in school violence and early school dropout.-To develop the artistic and language skills of the participants.-To disseminate the culture of tolerance and democracy of the participants in the European axis.Immigrant / refugee students who have a strong artistic aspect and have a violent tendency to be rehabilitated, who are exposed to violence, have social and psychological problems, will also be preferred in local activities and in the mobility by providing necessary legal conditions. Each partner school is responsible for monitoring, evaluating and also implementing the action plan set. The project contact person at each school is responsible for his own school.Schools will be in constant communication and exchange information with video conferences, eTwinning, Twinspace, facebook, project web page, email, skype and WhatsApp. It will be our most important domain to spread all the activities and products in our project with the project corner, project website, interviews, media information, photo exhibitions, surveys and video conferences. There will also be social events such as the project opening ceremony and visits to historical sites to increase intercultural interaction. Surveys, brochures and posters to be applied will increase the effectiveness of our project. Our project also has the potential to make a local, national and European voice for partner schools and the target audience. Our project will have important results in the field of social psychology. Students, teachers, local institutions, local media and local people who will meet at 5 different national and international artistic performances will make an important contribution to the development of the ""no to violence"" theme in the European dimension."
