<< Objectives >>The general objectives of PrOActive are 1) to strengthen the commitment of people with intellectual disabilities (PWIDs) and their families in outdoor activities; 2) to improve social participation and visibility of PWIDs and their families through outdoor activities; 3) to produce a network of partners and thus a community of practice to develop knowledge and skills related to improving the commitment of PWIDs and their families in sports practices.<< Implementation >>The following activities will be implemented to reach the objectives: - Creation of a survey to understand better the family caregivers’ and adults with intellectual impairments’ needs in outdoor activities - Design of a toolkit of good practices based on the survey results - 2 TMs - Promotional events in partner countries - Outdoor activities organised by family caregivers - Production of a video for dissemination.<< Results >>Partners will produce the following results to achieve the objectives mentioned above: - Creation of a toolkit of good practices to strengthen the commitment of adults with intellectual disabilities (AWID) and their families to outdoor activities - Public awareness at local, regional, national and international levels about the access of outdoor activities to AWID and their relatives - Creation of a new European network of stakeholders interested in the PrOActive objectives.
