According to the European report released last year called “Participatory Governance of Cultural Heritage”, “In the era when the selfie, troll or mainstream overturn language barriers, the digital generation is slowly losing contact with its roots, identity and making efforts to discover its place in today's society. They are connected to what's new, however, disconnected from the past. Even if the online postings disappear after a few seconds, the cultural heritage remains the foundation on which any society is built and can represent an engine for growth and business opportunities. The project “Start-up lighthouse” aim to create for 20 months 1 active network of 28 youth workers, educators and creative change-makers from European and African youth non-profits, interested in cultural heritage and rural development, NFE, social innovation and entrepreneurship. At the end of the project, they will be able to guide local youngsters with concrete tools to turn abstract ideas into cultural start-up, while understanding why cultural change precedes social change and how cultural entrepreneurship model can positively transform local communities. Specific objectivesSO1: Increase the organisational capacity of 28 youth workers from 7 NGOs to offer customized learning experiences to youth people who intend to launch a cultural start-up, develop their entrepreneurial mindset and connected skills through: 3 TC and 3 sets of playing card activities about cultural entrepreneurship. SO2: Map and share info about the hotspots of 7 countries - cultural start-ups, entrepreneurship educational centres, funding opportunities for cultural start-ups, mentorship opportunities through 7 digital/printed maps (7 languages). SO3: 1 awareness campaign “Discover your roots” around cultural entrepreneurship as a solution to grow communities and connect youth with cultural heritage Milestones1. M3-6: Selection and preparation of youth workers for TC1 (national level) & develop 7 maps4. M3-8 “The Explorer” phase with design & content of 1st set of pocket activities cards: “The Explorers” (E.E skills and intro cultural heritage) and A2: Training course 1 (Bucharest, Romania)5. M8-12“The Incubator” phase with design & content of 2nd set of pocket activities cards: “The incubator” (journey to create a cultural start-up) and A3: Training course 2 (Étang-Salé, Reunion)6. M13-16 “The accelerator” phase with design & content of 3rd set of pocket activities cards:“”The accelerator” (tool, resources & know-how for growth) and A4: Training course 3 (Antananarivo, Madagascar)7. M17-20 Evaluation meeting (Sassari, Italy) and Multiplication of results (national level) simultaneous event: “The cultural challenge” where 140 young people/7 countries enter in a 2-days incubator to design in teams
