El arte y la naturaleza a través de las artes escénicas y plásticas

Description

"""Culture is incredibly important, and its role is vital in our society. Cross-cultural exchange is essential for adding depth to an individual’s educational experience. Particularly in the arts, whether it be drama, music, painting, etc., the creative arts can quite literally form a person; it gives them wings to DREAM, to BE ENTHUSIATIC, TO SUCCEED PROFFESIONALLY and to TAKE JOY IN LIVING"" (a Spanish singer´s words). These are our aspirations. When cross-cultural exchange meets creative expression, the result is nothing short of magic. The main task at the heart of this project is to utilize the social and educational value of our European cultural heritage in order to advance language, teaching and learning, and to promote the internationalization of our schools. The schools of Spain, Austria, Latvia, Germany and Italy have met on the way not by chance; Modernism, Vanguardism and Nature have been the reason.Combining the liberal arts with the exchange experience, emboldened by our investigations into creative expression, nature and teaching/learning processes, and with the use of eTwinning as our organizational platform, we will give birth to this project. We imagine theatre productions, puppet shows, radio programs, orchestra, song and music composition, orienteering races, art booklets, weaved crafts, our own version of the life tree, etc. All of which will be created by participants. The students from these six schools will be wholly nourished by such integrated activities. Inclusion and diversity are the instruments by which to ""sew"" the project together, using the arts as the ""thread"". Students will experience a newfound motivation, positive attitude, improvement in academic and language performance, innovation in creative skills and expression, and what’s more, improvements in social competence and self-esteem.Our eTwinning platform (which has the same name) has helped us to draft this idea and it will be our meeting point to carry out every step along the way, to create this global project integrating the different programs from six schools and five countries. Each school will have assigned tasks and will be able to receive feedback in international meetings. In this way there will be full collaboration in regards to project investigation and coordination, as well as a means to facilitate the students’ work, virtual meetings and evaluation. This foundational organization will be very important as it will be the glue of the process; every step, activity, final product can be traced. The dates of our international meetings have been determined by our partner curriculums and programs, as well as weather conditions and common activities. Our first meeting will be in Alfacar, Spain for the first time, beginning with the origins of the whole idea. The second in 2021 will be in Latvia because we need our logo (a weaved logo in this case). The first in the second year will be in Austria because we need the inspiration of the Life Tree of Klimt to launch the idea of Nature. The following meetings will be in Germany and Italy, those countries that have greatly promoted music and the performing arts throughout history. We will try to create meetings in which all the community members are engaged. How? By involving them from the beginning in every step.Every international meeting will support the evaluation phase (one month after each) which will be carried out by the means of rubrics from the Erasmus teams in each school. Coordinators will then reach conclusions and publish their reports in eTwinning. The final products and results of each activity will be available in every school’s community web page, in eTwinning, as well as in local newspapers, and a podcast summary will be worked into radio programs. The podcasts will be one of our main deliverables of the project. They will be produced in Radio Alfaguarra. The Spanish team as coordinators would like to be invited to share the experience in CEP Granada and with the art educational group ""ConSumoArte"" which has inspired us to a great extent. The benefits of this creative and intercultural project are multifold: a new design in our classes at home and abroad, an enrichment of the knowledge of art, improved curriculums and linguistic competence and other skills; expansion of student possibilities, improved confidence in students, promotion of the idea of students as “global citizens”; the use of the liberal arts to discover the Nature around us, becoming better stewards of the planet, exploring the lived experience of other people in different places, meeting new friends, new families, new teachers- all of this will enrich us personally and offer a new vision of Europe, of life itself. In the end, this is the opportunity to create a thread of friendships linked by the same motivation to change our teaching life, and to promote future Erasmus+ possibilities as well as job shadowing, or even beyond.. why not a KA229 to make films?. It is one idea."
