Description

We are in the 21st century and it is inevitable to be affected by technological advancements in education.The development in science and technology in the world leads to STEAM development within itself. The main aim of STEAM education is to integrate these five disciplines students' problem-solving skills with a holistic and positive perspective to develop their creativity and to provide artistic products. One of the most basic features that STEAM education model aims to develop is creativeIs personality. The sub-factors defined for the development of creative personality, risk taking, self-confidence, determination, humor, curiosity, broad interest, independence, risk taking, duty can be listed as responsibility and imagination. STEAM is essential for increasing competitiveness in the global market in the twenty-first century, it can enable creative and innovative individuals to be raised. Raising the level of success of the young population in STEAM areas,by giving analytical and critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, we will be able to advance in science and technology. STEAM skills the investment to be made, on the one hand, the individual's personal development, to achieve better jobs and more while ensuring a good life, it is one step ahead in the global competitive environment. We will serve to EU 2020 targets in education with gaining lifelong learning strategies and enhancing our digital literacy.Thus, with our project we desire to develop using actively STEAM implementations with an enrich curriculum, use efficiently our digitaly literacy skills, improving our 21st century skills (crtical thinking, creativity, problem solving skils, communication, colaboration, socialization and algotithm thinking) have positive classroom atmosphere through teachable and learnable strategies, raise our students motivation to build their future carreers and having life learning skills to have qualified capabilities for employment, have self respect, self esteem and self confidence by cooperative work. We will add EU value to our schools. The coordinator country is Finland, partners are Portugal, Iceland, Turkey (Datça), Turkey (Adana) and Netherlands. We will have 6 LTTAs (3 with students and 3 with teachers. There will be 90 students' and 60 teachers' mobilities in total. We expect that approximately 1200 people will benefit from our project.Our target group is 13- 18 years old students and teachers. Our concrete results will be project logo, poster, leaflet, e-journal, e-guide book, website, educational materials in STEAM, such as STEAM Lesson plans, experiments in science, for technology robotics, educational materials with Web 2.0 tools, software files for 3D printings and programming for engineering and arts. All our projects activities, results and concrete outcomes will be published in our project website, eTwinning portal, School Education Gateway, Erasmus+ Project results. We aim to reach as many as we can at local, national and international level.We will evaluate our project stages both quantitative and qualitative way. This project will be a great chance for Finland, Iceland and Netherlands to experience Erasmus+ project with experienced partners.
