"‘Absorbing culture is not enough, one must produce it. Enjoying the arts is not enough, one must be an artist. To be a citizen doesn’t mean to live in society, but to transform it. With your head held high, your feet on the ground and hands at work’.With ""Cartoons For Active Citizens"" project, regardless of their socio-cultural background, future generations, It is aimed that organizations operating in the field of education and an NGO in the field of visual arts; making cartoons co for teachers and students operate in order to strengthen and raise European awareness.As the project school partners; Norway, Turkey, France, Portugal, Italy and an NGO from Turkey; The Cartoon Mill, which aims to teach to use dijital tools effectively for making cartoons and animations to the youth, children and teachers will be a supportive contribution to foster social inclusion, active citizenship issues. There will be 6 LTT activities and 2 TPMeeting during the project implementation. The first two of the LTT activities will be for teachers/stuff of the partner schools and the rest of the LTTs (4) are for the sudents of the partner schools.The students will bring and work together to identfy and foster European Active citizenship during Learning-Teaching-Training activities and to create their short cartoons for the issues of active citizenship and social inclusion. With the both online and face-to-face workshops, the students will get;-new digital skills-a strong sense of local culture, identity and their heritage-intercultural dialogue-an established local network (e.g. social, professional, religious)-interest in learning and broadening horizons-good communication skills-a value for fairness and social justice.The project will support teachers/educators' profiles with innovative approaches during LTT activities for school stuff;-a training about making cartoons as an educational tool to improve creativity-a training about aware of the subtle influence of active citizenship both on classroom atmosphere and distance learning, activity and learning preferences.There will be an e-book and a book called ""Cartoons for Education"" including educational modules; intellectual output of the project for teachers, educators, young people and adults who want to improve themselves about animated cartoon film making in order to share their own products by larger masses with a kind of information dissemination system that saves less cost or time in terms of use.The teachers will be able to use this methodology as an innovative approach for their education process and the students will be able to use this skill in order to share their own products by larger masses with a kind of information dissemination system that saves less cost or time in terms of use.This e-book/book as education modules will be shared and printed in 6 different languages including each partner’s native language and English. To introduce the book to (educational environment, the world of educations, the education field ) an introduction meeting will be held. The meeting will take place in Kaş, Antalya, Turkey. The Cartoon Mill, NGO, has organized 3 International Animation Festivals and invited international animation artists to Kaş/Antalya. Teachers, animators, trainers and the youth and the youth workers from all over the country have joined these festivals. They meet the world wide known animation artists and took the classes of them. That's why the reason for holding this meeting in Kaş, Antalya, Turkey.With this project, the students with fewer opportunities will be included in all the activities: LTTs and the local activities. All of them will take part in the groups to produce the outputs of the project and they will also attend to the LTT activities in which students’ participation is essential. The participation of these students in the project will be equal because all activities are developed with social inclusion for both face-to-face and distance learning.Thus, with this project plan, we will be able to support the ET 2020 pursues the following four common EU objectives:-Make lifelong learning and mobility a reality-Improve the quality and efficiency of education and training-Promote equity, social cohesion, and active citizenship-Enhance creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship, at all levels of education and training."
