"Representatives of civil society organizations consider the current tourism policy, which focuses only on the development of the heart of the city, to be unjustified. The idea of the project is to gather historically important information about the remarkable events of the districts and the people worthy of appreciation and to pass on the collected information materials to future generations. The main target groups are residents and visitors of different districts of Pärnu, Livani and Vievis. In this way we increasing the value of the regions in the eyes of both locals and visitors, and which can be a better gift to our countries than communities that value themselves and know their history. The project will run from March 2021 to February 2023, but the impact of the project will last for decades or even centuries. It is open to everyone from implementation to enjoyment of the results, so the larger the people involved in the project activities, the higher the quality and variety of the result. ""Footprints"" is born in an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual understanding, that we would like to spread transnationally. As a result of the project, different districts value their history and the people who have worked in them or who have left an important mark from local to international level with their activities. The different districts of Pärnu, Livani and Vievis work closely together and are jointly developing methodologies that ensure that information is updated and symbols are organized as needed. In addition, as a result of the project activities, a database of historical objects, events and people worthy of appreciation of the districts will be formed with short descriptions, on the basis of which the districts' geotrails have been completed. Various civic associations, educational institutions (e.g. schools or kindergartens) and the private sector (e.g. businesses) are cooperating in the implementation of the project. Furthermore, the value of community as a living and tourist environment is much more valued. Also, the completed trails will motivate both individuals and families to move more. We chose the project partners from small towns with whom we have cooperated at the level of cultural activities. Livani has been passive at the moment because the leader has left (died)and the activities have stalled. During this COVID 19 pandemic lot of people is unenployed or have to work teleworking method or reduced salary. By getting involved in the project, they also stimulate the activities of their local community and they gain experience in the activities of a long-term project. Vievis is a nice small town and we have been cooperating with them through cultural level and with youth projects. This opportunity gives them adult education teaching and learning experience. participants who are more involved in teaching them the skills needed for international cooperation (such as public relations, strategic thinking and social entrepreneurship) are essential for the success of the project. In addition to trainings the knowledge and skills acquired, participants also benefit from mobility create a network with other participants that can lead to future cooperation, and participants have the opportunity to meet good ones examples of topics. Participants in the trainings get to know each other better, get to know the fields of activity, acquire practical skills. Get the courage to communicate and exchange information in a foreign language. Desired impact of the project is that the history and culture of the different regions are recognized and valued. History of all the regions involved and the people who have worked and still continue to work in those regions, have left their mark at local, national and international level and they must be symbolized on the hiking trail. The laid off tracks and information have long-term value, which will be passed over to next generations. Furthermore, they allow to introduce their community to local residents and international guests. Some guests are also groups of partner organizations both during and after the project and have the opportunity to get to know their home in this form of internship. The project gives us the opportunity to introduce the culture of our communities worldwide. One specific measurement is number of tracks that will be completed. As well, lengths of tracks and number of objects on them. Also, when hiking trails are ready there will be excursions and the number of them happening will show how many people are interested. Community days, festivals, city days are possible to promote, cooperation with schools on introduction of trails and training of community guides in schools. permanent value walking trails and a lot of collected and systematized information have been completed. Preservation is ensured by the use of these trails by various stakeholders and by guided walks by schoolchildren, teachers, community members and foreigners alike."
