Clothing teaches and inspires us

Description

The target group of the project is high school students and teachers of study programs Graphic production and Clothing Design. The goal of the project is the development of specialized competencies and language skills of students and teachers. The form of international cooperation and the opportunity to work in an international team is a way which our school has been supporting for a long time and we consider it to be important and effective. There are 4 partners from 4 countries participating in the project – the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy and Germany. During the whole project the students will work in international teams/workgroups and they will do so in two ways:-with the help of eTwinning, where they will prepare for the international workshops through mutual communication-at international workshops where they will cooperate to fulfil mutual tasks There will be at least 12 participating students from each country and 1 accompanying person. The project will have clear and measurable outputs:-16 presentations in English language on a given topic (each school will prepare 4 presentations, each of 10 slides)-16 dresses and accessories on a given topic (each school will prepare 4 dresses and accessories)-16 photographs of the models on a given topic (each school will prepare 4 photographs)-a calendar made out of the photographs-a catalogue of all the photographs-a video documenting the project-4 articles for a local press-outputs from international workshops (depend on the tasks given by each partner)-each country will have an exhibition of photographs and models connected with a preview/vernissage The exhibition of the photographs and models of project outputs is an important finale of the project. We want to dedicate enough time to this task so that the collection of all the items can be exhibited in the country of each of the project partners. Teachers of specialized subjects and also students will participate in the installation of an exhibition. During each exhibition, the project will be introduced to the public.Long-term benefits of the project:-further cooperation of schools and the continuation of the cooperation even after the end of the project-creation of materials which will be useable in specialized subject classes and English classes (student presentations)-improvement of specialized language competences of students and teachers; the usage of gained knowledge in classes-support of cultural and historical reference as a source of inspiration for the creation of quality and professional outputs-improvement of PR of schools in their region, increased interest in study programs of Graphical design and Clothing design
