“Elevation” is a 16 months project aiming at reinforcing the capacity of 6 organizations and networks active in the field of Youth from Bulgaria, Italy, France, Turkey, Ivory Coast and Mexico with a central objective to open youth activities and programs/policies to asylum seekers, migrants and refugees. We strongly believe that all youth activities and especially those involving arts and cultures are key to identify and develop the competences of those who are mainly in need, often isolated in specialised centres and without resources to discover and use their full potential. Agreeing that all young people should benefit from these powerful tools that we all believe in, for personal and professional development, whatever their origins or situations are, we want to increase mutual understanding and benefits among citizens and to stop the isolation of a large part of the young people for a better inclusion and for the benefit of all our societies. Through observation of different contexts, experimentation of new common techniques and development of new activities, we think that renewed artistic practises can participate to change our critical national situations on the issue of inclusion of migrants and refugees. Through exchanges of good practices and non-formal education methods it is possible to make a difference and to strengthen the competences. For that, we have planned to organize 7 phases to meet, observe, exchange and elaborate new common good practices based on jobs shadowing in Mexico (music), Ivory Coast (dance and movement), Italy (circus), France (theatre), Bulgaria (art craft), Turkey (digital and visual arts) with 30 youth workers and multiple associated partners involved, in order to experiment new non-formal methods during a 3 weeks youth exchange in France with 45 young people from our organizations - half of them being refugees and/or migrants - to be able to test and evaluate the future applicability in our organizations and networks. To share and disseminate the results, we have set a week-long training course in Bulgaria with almost 20 highly motivated youth workers chosen from our networks of associated partners in the youth field and with a big potential to create and implement these new activities and methods to act as multipliers and members of our international network and online Arts-Learning Platform. An international common day dedicated to Quality Welcome will also be launched simultaneously with the goal to inform the public, to reach the public opinion through media campaigns, to attract new activists and organizations and to sign new partnership agreements with private and public entities to participate to this important dynamic of social inclusion and transformation. 4 different meetings will be organized between the 3 mobility phases in Turkey, France, Bulgaria and Italy to prepare, evaluate, control and follow the activities and common scheme and program to reach the expected results and impact of the project.
