Description

Maritime transport is the backbone of international trade representing approximately 3% of global greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) with projections indicating that these emissions could increase by up to 130% emissions by 2050 in a business-as-usual scenario. The mounting pressure for vessels to decarbonise in response to climate change targets requires rapid development of practical and scalable solutions. Genevos was founded to accelerate access to clean power solutions in the maritime sector. By designing a modular and fully integrated drop-in power pack, the Hydrogen Power Module (HPM) enables practical installation aboard any vessel, simplifying the energy transition for integrators and OEMs. Building on the commercial success of their low power HPMs, Genevos is taking a bold step towards revolutionizing maritime propulsion with the development of an HPM-250 kW. Designed to extend operational range and meet the growing demands of clean energy for larger vessels. The HPM-250 is a scalable, modular fuel cell system capable of delivering multi-MW of power. This innovation has already achieved class Approval in Principle and has been uniquely engineered to integrate with e-fuel reformers, enabling multi-fuel compatibility, making it a game-changer for sustainable propulsion. Genevos stands out by offering a plug-and-play, hydrogen, e-fuel, electric hybrid solution system that uniquely meets the requirements for long-range maritime operations. This breakthrough technology positions Genevos to scale its impact globally, driving the adoption of renewable energy in diverse marine applications while setting the course for a cleaner, more sustainable maritime future. The overarching objective of Genevos is to make a significant positive impact by decarbonizing the worlds most energy intensive and polluting vessels.
