Considering that energy management has become a high important issue in future Europe and that there’s a huge lack of trained people to meet the energy management needs, it’s a must to develop a clear, transparent, transnational and crossbording e-training. As SMEs represent more than 9O% of the enterprises and more than 70% of the employment in the participating countries, it’s good to meet these enterprises in their needs for qualified energy managers. The project EEMS4SME or European Energy Management Specialists for SMEs will therefore develop an open training and innovative digital platform all over Europe. A lifelong learning digital environment will be established in the field of energy management to answer the huge lack of global training and vision for energy management, which can thus create employment all over Europe. This innovative e-learning platform is ideal to support individuals in acquiring and developing key competences to aim employability and personal development in a fast changing technical and environmental world. The training will support the development of national and cross-country sectoral skills strategies and will support permeability between different training pathways all over Europe. It will tackle all discrimination in gender, age and race as individuals can learn whenever they want, which is ideal to combine work and training. An international digital training with similar understanding will cross the borders of different regions, cultures and legislations.The transparency and comparability of energy management qualifications and learning outcomes will support labour mobility and facilitate transitions between training and the world of work in energy management all over Europe and will thus create employment chances for women, disabled, unemployed graduates in the energy management field, which is an investigation in Europe’s future.In the strategic partnership a good balance is reached between reliable expertise in education and training in energy efficient technologies for students and for adults with the university Thomas More Kempen – Knowledge Centre for Energy (Belgium), the balikesir sustainable development association (Turkey) and the Association Ecoserveis (Spain) on the one hand and partners with good knowledge of the needs of SMEs as the Chamber of Installation Specialists in Bulgaria (CISB), and the Chamber of Commerce of Padua (Italy). All partners have experience in developing training programs and in qualification and re-qualification of technicians and experts. Furthermore the partnership represents different climate conditions spread all over EU and partners have links with EU wide networks to disseminate the projects results. The exchange of best practices and the merge of different insights and experiences from partners all over Europe will guarantee a good common training program for energy management to meet the needs of many SMEs in Europe.In the course of this project, training activities will be carried out, respectively : Train the trainer, Energy Management Specialist training program and e-learning modules. The train the trainer course is transnational, will take place in Turkey during 5 days and is meant for 2 trainers of each participating country. It will be given by highly certified experts in energy management. The target is double : the different national training modules will be reviewed in order to decide how they will be processed in one global online platform and the trainers will be able to disseminate the training in energy management in their country in the second phase as a test for the online course. This second training is meant for SME staff to become energy management specialists. By an e-learning trajectory and a contact seminar the participants will be able to share their experiences, so that all the experiences can be discussed in a transnational project meeting to optimise the e-learning modules. In this respect, Energy Management System Training of SMEs personnel should be considered as a key target. For the process of dissemination, e-learning modules will be developed and will help the program to reach a wider audience. In the third phase at least 500 people will be trained during the project time with the global e-learning module for energy management specialists.The expected results will be realized is 2 dimensions : national and transnational.A national energy management structure will be available to implement in the facilities. (ISO 50001) and a certified expertise will establish sustainable energy management in the SMEs. A transnational digital platform for adults all over Europe who wish to specialize in energy management and energy efficiency, will be available. An inventarisation of exchanges of best practices in all units of the organisations will reduce energy consumption and production costs and will help to reduce emissions. This project will offer an effective way to mitigate global warming.

The main objective of the VET4GSEB project is to transfer the experience and good practices in the field of VET from the EU countries to 4 third countries participating in the project. It intends to provide the national VET providers with adapted solutions, training materials, case studies, tools and guidelines, which will allow them to update their training practices and programs in order to meet the skills needs of the labour market in the building and RES sector. The objective will be reached by a series of activities using an innovative approach: trainers from VET providers from all participating countries will be provided with comprehensive information through an on-line networking Platform including:•Database of companies from the building and RES sector from all partners to update the information on the needs of the labour market in different countries;•Database of innovative training methods and tools, digital technologies implemented in the energy systems in smart buildings, innovative technical solutions for the application of PV systems in buildings; •Training materials on 5 modules and a Guidebook for the VET trainers.The partners from Bulgaria and Turkey, owing extensive experience in VET regarding new training methods, soft skills, smart electrical installations and PV systems in buildings, incl. the necessary digital skills for them, will create training materials in order to transfer their knowledge to the participants from third countries not associated to the Programme: Albania, Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine, through the networking Platform.Trainings for VET providers from all participating countries will be performed in 2 phases: 1 pilot training in English for 18 trainers and 6 national trainings for 10 trainers each - in national languages.The expected results are 78 up-skilled VET providers who will improve their training practices and deliver updated training, adapted to the new needs of the market for electricians from the RES s

The overall objective of the GSS-VET project is to address the gap in the continuing education of plumbers and electricians in geothermal, solar thermal and solar photovoltaic installation skills by creating and implementing a demand driven training:• To meet the growing demand for new skills from the above-mentioned professionals in today’s building industry.• To enable unemployed people with appropriate technical training, as well as active workers, to develop and improve their skills in the fields of geothermal and solar installations.• To strengthen the exchange of knowledge and practice between education and training institutions and the labor market.• To develop three European core curricula programs on EQF level 4 & 5 in the fields of solar-thermal, photovoltaic, and geothermal systems.• To set an evaluation and certification framework for each curriculum according to ECVET recommendations and to the ISO 17024 norm.• To disseminate information throughout the Europe about the GSS-VET project and the importance of the green and renewable energy professions for the development of the sectors concerned in a general framework of energy sustainability at national and EU level.The specific objectives of the project per partner’s country (Greece, Bulgaria, Spain, and Germany) are:• To train technicians / installers working in the green industry / renewable energy companies and sectors to cover the personnel shortages they are experiencing in skilled workforce.• To apply new methods and advanced training material in the continuous training of the above-mentioned professionals, specialists in the installation, repair, refurbishment, and maintenance of geothermal, photovoltaic, solar thermal systems.• To disseminate among users and VET providers of continuous training the benefits of the e-learning platform developed in the framework of the project and which makes possible the self-training as well as its evaluation. Furthermore, to enable them to implement the platform and the curricular in their portfolio in future. Actions and results of GSS-VET project were based on the following facts: • According to the European Green New Deal carbon emissions should be lowered by at least 50% by 2030 compared to the levels of 1990. Renewable Energy Sources (RES) can assist to succeed this effort. • Employment trends and patterns are shaped in a wide range of technical, economic, and policy-driven factors that include robust EU policy on the promotion of renewables and sustainable growth.• RES can offer new employment opportunities, while careers in non-renewable energy fields seem to be fading away. As RES technologies are developed and become more complex new job opportunities arise for technicians with no extended expertise on the field if they are offered appropriate training.Main results that emerged from the implementation of GSS-VET project were:Creation of training material in 3 curricula: • Curriculum 1 for Photovoltaic Installers: EQF Level 4&5. ECVET points: 6,0. Learning hours: 100• Curriculum 2 for Geothermal Installers: EQF Level 4&5. ECVET points 6,6. Learning hours: 120• Curriculum 3 for Solar-Thermal Installers: EQF Level 4&5. ECVET points 6,6. Learning hours: 110Design and creation of a training platform where the training material for all curricula is placed in 5 languages (English, German, Bulgarian, Spanish, and Greek). To maximize the effectiveness of the training process a serious game was created per training curriculum and also self-assessment questions are included for the trainees to check their level of competencies before their final examination which also takes place in the end of the training process through the same platform. Finally, in the same platform, additional helpful material and references are included to assist trainees in their studying process.
