In Transit aims to strengthen the resilience of textile, aerospace and construction SMEs towards greener and more digital sectors with social and business model, with a mixed support mechanism including individual assessment support and a lump sum and coaching to ensure their consolidation and sustainability. In Transit will provide an open online collaborative platform involving innovation actors from the aerospace, construction, and textile sectors that will serve as a space for sharing best practices and as a matchmaking system for new ideas for innovation and circular economy and new collaboration partnerships. Foster cross-regional and cross-sectoral links with dedicated learning visits in combination with innovation workshops and matchmakings to establish the seed for collaboration among sectors by identifying potential partners for commercial and innovation cooperation that will ultimately generate growth opportunities for SMEs Increase resilience of SMEs by supporting their transition to more sustainable business models financing of a feasibility study, prototyping, pilot testing, demonstrating, procurement of further specialized consultancy services and coaching services that cannot be provided directly by the project partners, an adaptation of business processes, option to access to DIHs testing facilities, the introduction of new IT solutions, and social innovation strategies. Scale-up support to leverage additional funds. In Transit will connect successful SMEs with other initiatives for scaling up the innovations. IN TRANSIT will allocate 4 M€ directly for SME support out of 5M€ (80% of total budget) In Transit partnership will allow to reach directly (as cluster members) 700 SMEs, 140 large companies and over 150 research facilities across 7 EU-countries, and indirectly over 5.000 SMEs across 38+ countries though EU-wide networks and European Strategic Cluster Partnerships.

Maritime disasters in recent years are a stark reminder of the imperative need for timely and effective evacuation of large passenger ships during emergency. The Lynceus2Market project addresses this challenge through delivering a revolutionary operational system for safe evacuation based on innovative people localisation technologies. The system consists of: 1) Localisable life jackets that can provide passenger location in real-time during emergency 2) Smart smoke detectors that also act as base stations of an on-board localisation system 3) Innovative localisable bracelets able to send activity data to the emergency management team 4) Low cost fire and flooding escalation monitoring sensor notes 5) novel mustering handheld devices for automatic identification and counting of passengers during evacuation 6) Smart localisable cabin key cards 7) Intelligent decision support software able to fuse all localisation, activity and disaster escalation data to provide an integrated real-time visualisation, passenger counting and evacuation decision support 8) Innovative shore or ship-launched Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for localising people in the sea in short time and assisting search and rescue operations when accident occurs in extreme weather, during the night or in a remote location 9) Low-cost rescue-boat mounted radars for people localisation in the vicinity of the boat. The proposed project is based on the promising results developed in the FP7 LYNCEUS project where the innovative technologies were tested in lab and in small scale pilots. Lynceus2Market brings together European global players in the field, such as cruise ship owners, operators, ship builders, maritime equipment manufacturers, a classification society, industry associations and important technology organisations with the aim to implement the first market replication of these technologies and products. The Lynceus2Market will create significant impact by saving passenger lives during maritime accidents.

Circula-TEX, with its multidisciplinary approach, aims to support the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles by facilitating the redesign of textile value chains through the adoption of a circular approach and ensuring compliance with the expectations of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes and European directives. The project will delve into the failures and gaps in the current textile value chain, particularly in terms of technological, environmental, economic, legal, and social aspects, and will explore the effectiveness of EPR schemes and other technological and non-technological measures to maximize the sustainability of the textile sector. The project will employ co-creation approaches to engage all stakeholders in the value chain and relevant case studies to develop actionable recommendations for circular textile management. These recommendations will include solutions to enhance the scalability of textile recycling and reuse through eco-design strategies, efficient systems for material composition identification and labeling to support textile collection and sorting, as well as traceability of information, and innovative approaches for reuse and waste treatment. Circula-TEX aims to provide evidence-based criteria for the harmonized implementation of EPR schemes and associated policies across the Member States. An innovative labeling system, in line with the Digital Product Passport and Eco-design for Sustainable Products Regulation directive(ESPR), will be developed to provide consumers, waste collectors, and reuse/recycling organizations with valuable practical information and promote reuse and the uptake of secondary materials in the market. The findings, initially applied and validated across four case studies, are expected to be expanded and replicated in various textile market segments and EU countries.
