"<< Background >>The integration of migrant women or women with non-Western backgrounds into the European context is an essential step towards achieving the goal of raising the EU employment rate to 78%, as called for in the Europe 2030 Strategy. In general, the impact that the employment of immigrant individuals can have on the growth and GDP of the various European countries is considerable, as shown by numerous studies in the sector. Moreover, the figures confirm that the presence of migrant women in the EU territory is significant. In fact, since the last decade, there has been a continuous increase in the flow of female immigration into the EU. The data collected in the ""Motion for a European parliament resolution on Women's immigration: the role and condition of immigrant women in the European Union (2006/2010(INI))"" underline how crucial it is to effectively manage this important flow, adopting measures aimed at the social integration of immigrant women, to combat discrimination and marginalisation. A crucial step in this direction has been made in the last decade with the adoption of the Opinion of the European Economic and Social Committee dedicated to the integration of migrant women in the labour market (2015). It is worth noticing that the specific skills to be promoted among immigrant women—the target group of the project—to ensure their full social and labour integration—are those related to digital literacy, interculturalism and entrepreneurship, as well as personal skills related to so-called life and soft skills, in a context of informal and non-formal education. The need to integrate digital and entrepreneurial competencies are especially underlined by the European Commission's Communication on the Digital Education Action Plan (COM(2018)0022) and the framework outlined in EntreComp (2016).The applicant has detected the needs of the specific target group based on the specific context of Portugal, which has the following figures:■ The 4th highest youth (15-24 years old) female unemployment rate among the EU-27, above 20% (Eurostat 2019)■ The highest gender difference on youth (15-24 years old) unemployment rate in the EU-27 (youth female unemployment rate is higher than male unemployment rate) (Eurostat 2019)■ Among the young population, Portugal is the EU-27 country with the 3rd highest difference of percentage of work seeking female NEETs (6,6%) vs work seeking male NEETs (5,0%) (Eurostat 2020)■ The highest rate of discouraged job seekers within EU, and with the highest % difference between discouraged males and females (Eurostat 2017)■ The 2nd lowest percentage of job vacancies in EU-27 in the third quarter of 2020 (Eurostat Job vacancy statistics 2020)Therefore, the promotion of entrepreneurship is fundamental for Portugal, because there are no available jobs and therefore is strategic to find innovative solutions.Life for women with a migrant background is not easy in all the European countries, facing at the same time discrimination and gender inequality. Migrant women needs in Europe are reported in a number of academic articles and official reports by international organisations, such as “Integration of migrant women. A key challenge with limited policy resources”, (2018), in which the biggest struggles and problems they are facing is reported with a transnational approach. “the gap between the share of employed non-EU-28-born women and native women is 8 percentage points larger than the gap among men. This clearly shows that migrant women represent an untapped and under-utilised source of skills and that their potential is not fully exploited.” In the document, among the important steps that must be done for effective social inclusion of our target group, labour market integration is reported as fundamental as other activities and initiatives aimed at their social inclusion.<< Objectives >>The WINBIZ project involves migrant women or women with a non-Western background, with medium-high levels of education, in a training pathway aimed at enabling the acquisition and development of personal, transversal and specific competencies and skills necessary for their full integration/reintegration in the European labour market, thus generating well-being for themselves and for the society they live in.WINBIZ aims to:■ Contribute to the development of migrant women's competencies in adult education through high-quality learning■ Contribute to the promotion of open education and the development of methodological, didactic and technical innovations for the promotion of women's social entrepreneurshipSuch objectives are achieved through the production of four works of art created during the project:■ A social and training needs research report, aiming at outlining the local, national, and European framework of opportunities and barriers that migrant women may face, about their educational and training condition for access to the labour market and their full social integration■ An online toolkit for trainers and tutors, created by integrating data and information from social research, technical and intellectual contributions from partners, already available OERs and input from potential trainers/tutors, who will be ""tested"" through alternative engagement and information gathering techniques, such as coaching circles. The methodology used will be based on the contributions of systemic methodologies such as U-theory and Design Thinking. The toolkit produced will then be used by the trained tutors themselves as an operational tool for coaching/mentoring activities for the benefit of migrant women involved in the MOOC■ A 150-hour-modular course to be structured in blended mode: 25 tutors will mentor 250 immigrant women during the course. The reference for the coaching/mentoring of the mentors will be the previously developed toolkit. The MOOC will be hosted within an e-learning platform and will aim to transfer knowledge to the target group and promote digital, entrepreneurial, intercultural and life skills. To validate the acquired skills, participants will receive a certificate and an open badge, according to the EntreComp framework■ A catalogue of business plans, bringing together the 15 best operational business plans developed by the women who have successfully followed the MOOC and who have obtained the highest score following participation in the final project work scheduled at the end of the MOOC. At the end of the blended course, there will be a 100-hour-project work (20 of which include the presence of the tutors), which will be structured as a team working experience that will lead the 250 participants, divided into groups, to the definition of business ideas. The project work will also be open to the participation and contribution of other women from the urban context in which the participants live. At the end of the project work, a special committee will evaluate the business ideas and select the 15 best—based on criteria of innovativeness and social impact—to be ""incubated"" in a transnational training campus, to transform the business ideas into real operational plans. The incubation phase will take place with the support and mentoring of 15 role models – namely the successful female migrant entrepreneurs from project partner countriesThe results of WINBIZ have been designed to produce relevant outcomes in terms of direct and indirect impacts, as far as innovation is produced and the exchange of know-how between the involved organisations active in the education and training sector is promoted, and the social inclusion/empowerment of women and migrants is achieved<< Implementation >>The project is structured in such a way that the various results achieved—and the activities related to them—progressively contribute to the full achievement of the project objectives. Considering the macro-objective outlined above, 4 more specific objectives (SO) and related actions (AS) are necessary:■ SO1—Acquisition and sharing of knowledge, theoretical, empirical, and statistical-operational data—from institutions involved in the implementation of educational-training paths for adults, and of institutions involved in the socio-professional inclusion of women and migrants. Such data will be related to the training needs and the social, economic, and cultural situation of the target groupA1 Planning and development of an appropriate social research frameworkA2 Implementation of desk research at local, national, and European level and focus groups at the local levelA3 Processing of results, review, and publication of a final report, to be shared within and outside the partnership, through the dissemination and exploitation channels identified ■ SO2—Development and sharing of open methodologies, tools, and training materials for the professional preparation of operators who will be responsible for tutoring, guiding, and coaching the target groupA1 Planning and development of an appropriate methodological frameworkA2 Implementation of an activity aimed at the exchange of good practices among the partners—in particular of U-theory and Design Thinking toolsA3 Implementation of an analysis of the training-professional needs of the operators: this will be done by organising local coaching circles that will mainly use engagement tools of Theory U and Design ThinkingA4 Processing of the data and information obtained, collection of feedbacks and coproduction of a toolkit for trainers/tutors to be used for the training of 25 appropriately selected operators and to be shared also outside the partnership, through the dissemination and exploitation channels identified ■ SO3—Development and sharing of ""open"" methodologies, tools and training materials to promote: a) the acquisition of personal, transversal and specific competencies and skills by the target group; b) the socio-professional integration of the target group; c) the promotion of female entrepreneurshipA1 Planning and development of an appropriate methodological frameworkA2 Development and joint revision of training contents (modules)A3 Development and testing of an e-learning platform to host a MOOCA4 Implementation of a 150-hour blended training course for 250 migrant women or women from non-western backgrounds, supported by 25 trained tutorsA5 Validation of skills acquired through certification and issuing of open badges, following the EntreComp frameworkA6 Promotion of the products through the dissemination and valorisation channels identified ■ SO4—Promotion of a practical co-planning training course - for the benefit of the target group and linked to the previous theoretical training course. The training course aims at defining, elaborating, and collecting operational business plans that meet the criteria of innovativeness and social inclusionA1 Planning and development of an adequate methodological frameworkA2 Implementation of 100-hour project work for the benefit of the 250 women participants in the MOOC, which is also open to the participation of women not enrolled in the course, and led by 25 tutorsA3 Development of business ideas by the participants in the project work, who will be divided into groupsA4 Selection of the best 15 business ideas from all partner countries and subsequent ""incubation"" within a transnational training campus for the transformation of ideas into operational business plans, with the support and mentoring of 15 selected role modelsA5 Preparation of a catalogue gathering the 15 operational business plans produced, and their dissemination through the communication and exploitation channels identified<< Results >>The following impacts are expected with the implementation of WINBIZ: On participants:■ Migrant women or women from non-Western backgroundsThe 250 women who will have participated in the piloting a) will improve personal, transversal and technical skills - especially entrepreneurial, digital and intercultural skills. This will be certified by open badges, Europass Mobility and Europass CV, in accordance with the EntreComp framework; b) will have more and better chances of professional integration; c) will have bridged their educational and professional mismatch; d) will possess the tools to collaboratively develop business ideas; e) will see their well-being increased, creating wealth for themselves and for society; f) will have the possibility to join informal networks at local and European level, which are fundamental for their personal and professional development; g) will contribute to breaking down negative stereotypes about women and migrants and will be successful examples of social integration in the EU.■ On tutorsThe 25 operators (tutors) who will participate in the project activities a) will possess transversal and technical competencies, in particular in the area of life skills and entrepreneurial coaching, certified by Europass Mobility and CV, in agreement with EntreComp; b) will be able to use the acquired notions and tools to support - within their organisations - migrant women in paths of empowerment and socio-professional integration; c) experience a career advancement; d) disseminate the innovations also outside and promote collaborations with other stakeholders, allowing a future transferability of the WINBIZ results and their use also after the end of the projectOn organisations:■ The staff members of the project partners will become experts in the implementation of: a) a training course for tutors/facilitators trained in the area of life skills and entrepreneurial coaching, with competencies linked to EntreComp; b) a training and practical course for migrant women for the development of personal and transversal competences, in particular entrepreneurship and social and digital inclusion, linked to EntreComp■ The profile and expertise of the partners (namely training and adult education centres, organisations working to support migrant women) will be significantly strengthened■ The methodologies, tools and materials produced will enrich the offer of educational and support services of the participating organisations which, by promoting the innovations acquired, will see an increasing demand for these services by a greater number of end-users■ Synergies and cooperation between partners will be improved in the field of adult education, from a multi-sectoral/interdisciplinary perspective■ The partners' training offer will better meet the needs of today's European labour market - which is flexible and dynamic, and which requires the acquisition of new transversal skills On other organisations/stakeholders:■ The expected impact of the methodologies, tools and innovations produced on modernising and increasing the quality of services provided by organisations working in adult education and supporting migrant women across Europe is high. APSU and the other partners will promote the results of WINBIZ within their own networks of associated partners. For example, CES—being an umbrella organisation comprising 30 organisations in 15 European countries—will be able to use its channels to disseminate project results at an exceptionally high international level. EGInA will exploit the network of Stati Generali dell’Innovazione (SGI), of which it is a member. SGI, together with DAISSy, HOU's research group are part of the European ALL DIGITAL network, which will promote the project results by disseminating WINBIZ innovations among its members (60 organisations representing more than 25.000 e-skills development centres)"

The world is changing, the way we work is changing and also the way we search for a new is changing. Strategies, tools and skills required, used and needed have suffered a massive evolution in last years, especially in this period of economic crisis and permanent technological evolution. Old strategies and skills are giving place to new ones, in a context where even the concept of intelligence or competence (the capacity, knowledge or ability we acquire to solve a problem) has changed. And obviously, this has affected the working world, independently of the field we are referring to. Nowadays, more than ever, it is not so important how much you know, but what you can do with all that stuff, how you do it, how you share it, how your teamwork is, how you impact in your customers... In fact, the World Economic Forum (in short, WEF) has published the report “The Future of Jobs. Employment, Skills and Workforce Strategy for the Fourth Industrial Revolution”, which makes a comparison between the skills demanded by employers in 2015 and 2020, and sets that “on average, by 2020, more than a third of the desired core skill sets of most occupations will be comprised of skills that are not yet considered crucial to the job today. Overall, social skills -such as persuasion, emotional intelligence and teaching others- will be in higher demand across industries than narrow technical skills, which will need to be supplemented with strong social and collaboration skills”. Those skills predicted by the WEF were:1. Complex problema solving2. Critical thinking3. Creativity4. People management5. Coordinating with others6. Emotional Intelligence7. Judgement and Decision making8. Service orientation9. Negotiation10. Cognitive flexibility. The project planed to prepare European workers to acquire new skills required for 2020 according to World Economic Forum with a very innovative approach. It especially focused on targets with additional difficulties, such as long term unemployed or low skilled adults, helping them to incorporate these skills in their daily life improving their employ-ability and adaptability to a new work context. Anyway, the project had double line of intervention, both with the workers and with trainers in these new and basic skills, looking for the necessity of vertical and horizontal communication with a common goal: the increase in the level and quality of employability, reinforcing the job stability and, in a mid-long term, the improvement of productivity. The project consortium was composed of 7 organisations from 5 different EU countries (UK, IRL, LAT, SP, PO and PT) and showed cooperation between new and old European Member States. A comprehensive partnership was established, consisting of a solid group of training companies with long experience in the application of Emotional Intelligence in their programs and a high demand of this kind of formation. The partners DCVS, DEFOIN, ARID and APSU have long experience in EU projects, and this was the first opportunity for DIAMOND BUILDING, I&F and ERIA, though their staff is widely competent in this field. To achieve the objectives of the project two Intellectual Outputs were developed, tested and multiplied: the ‘TOP 10 TRAINERS T10T’ (O1) acting as an departure point for 'WORKERS FOR A NEW ERA’ (O2), with training system both for trainers and employees on the 10 skills depicted by the WEF. The online system incorporated platform for interactions between learners, trainers, mentors and mentees, and other stakeholders. All outputs produced are freely accessible for the public within and beyond the project’s lifetime. TOP 10 SKILLS has sustainable direct impacts within and beyond the project lifetime on three target groups: 1) entrepreneurs and managers, 2) employees 3) Companies and organizations active in the field of training and advisory services. By creating training tools for improving skills and key competences of trainers, managers and employees, the consortium expected to achieve the overall objective of the project: highlighted the importance of Emotional Intelligence skills in the new economic environment and globalised world. The project aim was to get new tools and methodologies to support start-ups and SMEs in enhancing their productivity, competitiveness and efficiency. Companies, teams and organisations involved in an emotional training are expected to show a high increase of positive work environment, team work, talent development, productivity, creativity and innovation. Moreover, and in a lower and extensive level, final customers of those SME will be direct beneficiaries (summarizing, the base of European citizens) will enjoy of a healthy emotional environment in their daily contact to all the actors involved in the project.

According to Eurostat, more of 30% of employment in the EU is concentrated in micro companies –fewer than 10 workers. In fact, 90% of EU companies share this size-, a figure that in countries such as Spain goes to 41%. The problem of this kind of SMEs or small entrepreneurs is their sustainability and, therefore, employability. According to the same stats, the survival of this kind of small businesses in the first five years does not reach an average of 50%, with figures which go from 48% in France to 54% in Italy, 58% in the United Kingdom or 61% in Spain. Five years of work, money, effort and hope… and it all just disappears. Why? This is the key question. There's a particular reason for every entrepreneurial failure, but here's one reason we rarely hear: The entrepreneur just didn't have the talent for the job, and it does not mean that he/she does not have the intelligence or the knowledge of his/her sector, but many other concepts which have nothing to do with cognitive factors. So, one thing that's missing in this discussion is the attributes of the individual, the person who is at the center of a company, making day-to-day decisions for running the business in highly uncertain circumstances. This concept follows the line of the European Commission, which in 2018 has confirmed and recommended ‘entrepreneurship’ as one of the eight key competences necessary for all members of a knowledge-based society. This woke up is a growing awareness that entrepreneurial skills, knowledge and attitudes can be learned and in turn lead to the widespread development of entrepreneurial mind-sets and culture, which benefit individuals and society as a whole. Here, in the internal side of the entrepreneur is where EFE works, with coaching and Emotional Intelligence. It does not have to do with financial information, knowledge about the business, tax consulting, etc. but with the management of those other skills such as burnout, lack of motivation, lack of goals or incentives, problems to make decisions, self-esteem…The project is double focused. On one hand, it wants to advice and help entrepreneurs to discover and develop the talents that are vital to start, grow, and sustain a thriving enterprise. On the other hand, it wants to work with coaches and facilitators in order to give them the resources they need to support current and future entrepreneurs in understanding the skills based on coaching and EI. With that guidance, entrepreneurs will develop their talents into strengths to achieve greater business effectiveness and success. The project consortium is composed of 7 organisations from 6 different EU countries (PT, SW, SP, RO, PL and IRL). A comprehensive partnership has been established, taking as departure point the experience of the promoter, CSES, a leading institution dedicated to social entrepreneurship. APSU is the Portuguese Association of Start Ups, so they are in permanent contact with entrepreneurs. The consortium also consists in organizations with long experience in training adults and companies from many different productive sectors, as I&F, GDR or ARID. They have an extensive background in the use and implementation of Emotional Intelligence skills. The project consortium involves INDEPCIE, a Spanish training company specialized in training coaches, coaching and Emotional Intelligence and its application in the workplace, so it will add a plus of expertise to the consortium. To achieve the objectives of the project three Intellectual Outputs will be developed, tested and multiplied: THE FIRST FIVE YEARS ENEMIES (O1) will analyse inner difficulties in first five years of business for entrepreneurs, acting as an umbrella for COACHING FOR SUCCESS (O2), proposing a training system and manual for coaches on entrepreneurship; finally, COACHES FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP will develop a train-the-trainers manual for managers and entrepreneurs to become coaches in their companies. The online system will also feature a platform for interactions between learners, facilitators, mentors and mentees, and other stakeholders. All outputs produced will be freely accessible for the public within and beyond the project’s lifetime.EFE is likely to have sustainable direct impacts within and beyond the project lifetime on three target groups: 1) coaches and facilitators 2) entrepreneurs and managers 3) Companies and organizations active in the field of training and advisory services. The project aims at helping entrepreneurs during the first five years of a new company to overcome the most important difficulties by using coaching and Emotional Intelligence skills and tools. The project wishes to set new tools and methodologies to support entrepreneurs and SMEs in enhancing their productivity, competiveness and efficiency. The consortium will use the outcomes of the project, exploiting them with different targets, in further initiatives of the same topic, disseminating them through all its channels.

"While the role of civil protection organizations is particular crucial during disasters and major emergency situations, these events are fortunately rare and a significant part of the daily work in civil protection regards often prevention and preparedness in situations less dramatic but nevertheless important. The development of disaster prevention and awareness in the civil protection is closely linked to the ability of drawing in the experiences and learning of this daily work as well as using the daily operation in non-disaster situations to create networks with and broader awareness among other key stakeholders and the public on risk-management, disaster prevention and preparedness. Having said this, the overall rationale of the CiProVoT project is to provide:a. Free Access to and Open Educational Resources in different languages (English, Portuguese, Italian and Greek).b. Knowledge, skills and core competences for CP volunteers.c. Supporting integration Services (i.e. self assessment tools like mini games, a coaching session) for informal CP volunteers with lower levels of qualifications In general, the consortium decided to work on the development of basic and transversal skills because is crucial for Nature Conservation and Social Safety facing Natural Disasters. The most important results of CiProVot are:a. Report on practices and skills identification of Civil Protection volunteers.b. Comparative training methodology for dealing with knowledge, skills and core competences of Civil Protection volunteersc. A MOOC with four modules and orginal training material and videos for those who are approaching CP actvities for the first time, The MOOC has been validate by both experts and volunteers in the field of the CP and it is now freely available through the project website https://ciprovot-project.eu/ under the ""Learn"" section."

CONTEXTAs stated in the latest OECD report on “The Missing Entrepreneurs 2019 - Policies for inclusive entrepreneurship”, digital entrepreneurship – the creation of digital businesses and the adoption of digital technologies by existing entrepreneurs – may hold potential for making entrepreneurship more inclusive. Under-represented population groups in entrepreneurship could be more likely to benefit from certain features of digital technologies for business creation and growth, including the lower start-up costs required for many digital businesses and the wider access to external markets offered by the internet. However, international surveys indicate that women, immigrants, youth and seniors are greatly under-represented among digital entrepreneurs in the EU (Eurostat, Labour Force Survey, 2019). These gaps are due to many factors, including a lack of digital entrepreneurship role models and a lack of digital skills, which affects seniors and women. Moreover, several recent studies show that many obstacles to business creation (e.g. lack of skills, access to finance, small and ineffective networks) carry over into the digital economy. Data on computer usage clearly show that women and seniors have gaps in basic digital skills, as do some groups of youth. These skills barriers reinforce the obstacles to start-up financing and networks. Therefore, the policy recommendations outline the need for actions contributing to address the barriers to digital entrepreneurship through schemes that build digital and entrepreneurship skills, including through education, training programmes and facilitating peer-learning.OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIESThe Missing Entrepreneurs Project aims to build a more inclusive culture towards digital start-ups and support the development of digital and entrepreneurship skills among vulnerable and still under-represented population groups in digital entrepreneurship such as women, immigrants, youth and seniors. To this end, a set of specific objectives and activities have been defined: -Develop a comprehensive framework of digital skill gaps of under-represented population groups (women, immigrants, youth and seniors) in digital entrepreneurship. This skill gaps mapping will be carried out in participating countries (France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Cyprus and Austria) and on the European level, allowing to identify common trends and shared understanding against two EU competence frameworks for digital competences and entrepreneurship.-Establish European Academy on Inclusive Digital Entrepreneurship composed of:oExtensive database of online training courses that leverages all available e-learning resources on entrepreneurships and digital skills oPractical training modules and “training pills” on digital tools available for digital entrepreneurship and digital transformation of businesses.-Enhance digital and entrepreneurial skills by deploying training courses and workshops to testing a set of innovative education materials and resources provided by European Academy on Inclusive Digital Entrepreneurship. This will allow to train at least 180 people that belongs to project target groups (women, immigrants, youth and seniors) on digital entrepreneurship by the end of the project.-Develop far-reaching educational and raising awareness campaign to combat the stereotype that digital entrepreneurs are young males by showcasing a wide range of role models and success stories.PARTICIPANTSThe project targets vulnerable and still under-represented population groups in digital entrepreneurship such as women, immigrants, youth, seniors.MAIN RESULTS AND IMPACTS-Comprehensive framework of digital skill gaps of under-represented population groups (women, immigrants, youth and seniors) in digital entrepreneurship developed (IO1).-European Academy on Inclusive Digital Entrepreneurship established. It will include database of online training courses on entrepreneurships and digital skills (IO2) as well as training modules on digital tools for digital entrepreneurship and digital transformation of businesses (IO3).-Training courses and workshops Academy on Inclusive Digital Entrepreneurship organised (IO5). Relevant skills of at least 180 potential future entrepreneurs (women, immigrants, youth and seniors) will be improved. Their professional career perspectives will be enhanced as they will have increased possibilities to succeed on the labour market. -Educational and raising awareness campaign on Inclusive Digital Entrepreneurship set up (IO4).-The knowledge base increased and awareness raised of the partners in terms of learning needs and priorities within Inclusive Digital Entrepreneurship area.-Increased motivation towards lifelong learning and entrepreneurship amongst women, immigrants, youth, seniors and other people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
