As we saw the declining school results of the students, we decided to look for the solutions: how would it be possible to motivate them in a more effective way using tools that they know, use and methods that they regard useful for their future, and the ones which have developing effects on them. We want our students to be successful in their school work and later on the labour market. In order to reach this goal they will need not only more knowledge but also the necessary skills and competences of high level. The starting point for us was the general opinion that today’s teenagers are not interested in anything, they are not motivated and are indifferent. We carried out surveys and the results were partly against these stereotypes, and at the same time, they determined the way of solving the problem. It turned out that students are interested in IT, foreign languages and the world surrounding them. On the other hand they cannot be successful in the traditional subjects, and experiencing the smallest failure they give up, which leads to losing their self-confidence and another failure. We should show them a way out of this vicious circle. Our school is specialized in IT and economics. We regarded it as a basis and decided to fund a fictitious enterprise which is run by students, and which has international dimension. We could find partners: a Croatian, a Greek and a Turkish school. Everybody will fund their own company with a similar profile, and these companies will merge with each other as a big company. The profiles of these companies are determined by the results of the surveys carried out in their own school and they determine the activities as well. The enterprises will produce „products” and they will distribute them. Knowledge will be products that will be made by students in digitalized form, in interactive way, exceeding the frames of the school subjects. It will not simply be digitalizing the teaching materials of the school-books, but writing materials in the given topics by the students and the teachers. They can be used in classes by their creators-and others, and in this way we can involve students in the creating and the teaching process. As a result, a knowledge base will be created that is accessible, can be enlarged and used. The elements of the knowledge base are the units of the teaching materials, which cover a logical unit per each-they are not Wikipedia headwords-, and which are suitable for using in a class, in group or pair work or individually. They will also be good for study circles for talented or low skilled students. Creating these teaching material units and applying them will encourage students to obtain knowledge independently, where the chance of failure is less. The teaching units will be made in English, which will be useful for their English studies, and also, these materials will be accessible for the partners, and in the long run, for any European school. It can be really effective only in teamwork, because low-skilled students can join in the work, which can help them gain skills of higher levels. The tools of the activities will be smart phones (computers), which students always keep by them. During the common work they will obtain knowledge and skills which will help them to get a real sense of achievement. Those who buy a product (=obtain it) can convert it into school grades. The buyers-who are not the members of the company-may feel like creating new units, and in this way they can join the company as new colleagues. We determined the topics in a way that they should be connected to the most possible subjects. Our aim is not to work up the topics with scientific fastidiousness and in deepness. We want the students to carry out activities which they do with pleasure, where they feel they are important, where they can learn from each other and they can be successful, and which is really useful for them. They will gain serious knowledge in the given topics-and also in IT and English language, and also they can get to know the world of enterprises. With the help of these activities the teachers will play another role as usual: instead of transmitting the knowledge their organising-directing role will be more important. That is why teachers’ training will be so much emphasized in the project. During the project the companies will be funded and run, and by the end of the project teaching materials will be made ready which will be accessible by anyone-for personal use, as an idea, or for a new national or international cooperation with the help of the common webpage. Methodological handouts will also be prepared for the ready teaching material units to help those who will build this activity in their everyday work. As all our activities are framed with funding a big international company by joining the partners’ enterprises, and because of the type of our products we named our company, and also our project,as Knowledge Base International Ltd.

"All countries are faced with the phenomenon of decrease of the level of students preparation and the increase of truancy. The reduction of the medium European rate of early truancy to less than 10% until 2020 is one of the main purposes of the Europe Strategy 2020.According to statistics,6 million young leave annual the studies (which means about 14% of all students). For them, the future is gloomy:unemployment, poverty and marginalization.Young people who quit prematurely studies are those who, although aged between 18 and 24 years old, finished no more than secondary school. According to Eurostat,in 2015,this percentage is:EU(28 countries)-11,1%;Romania-19,1%;Lithuania-5,5,Italy-14,7%;Greece -7,9%;Turkey -36,4%,Poland-5,3%.To achieve the objective of an average rate of below 10%,Member States are invited to eliminate the factors that determine school dropout, solving early the problems and giving a second chance to young people who regret the decisions taken at a time.In the modern society, dominated by technology and globalization, was deepened the sense of loss of national identity, which means the loss of certain traditions and customs that are part of our nation’s history. We must preserve and promote the culture and traditions for the simple reason that a nation without a past is a lost nation, and a people without a past is a people without a soul.Through involving the students in activities which are complementary to the teaching process, students will increase their motivation for studying and they will be more confident in their own future. The project aims are:to improve knowledge, abilities and competences of working in formal/non-formal frame for 48 teachers through exchange of good practices, transfer of innovative methods, collaborative learning and team work;–to improve school results and prevent early school leaving for 180 students by promoting collaborative learning and critical thinking in studying the traditions and customs specific to each country and by increasing self esteem;-to increase the capacity of the 6 schools participating in the project to offer a quality education to all the students, including to those coming from disadvantaged groups and to develop a behaviour based on the understanding of values, respect and tolerance towards other cultures,by consolidating the European dimension of the education and trainng process,to 2020 horizon;.Direct beneficiaries:180 students (aged between 12-18) from whom 70 students with fewer opportunities (Economic obstacles, educational difficulties,Cultural differences) and 48 teachers of the partner schools. The activities:Project management activities(monitoring, evaluating, reporting and archiving, financial and accounting activities.).Informative,promotional and advertising activities;Short-term joint staff training events for implement in the class interactive learning methods to prevent the phenomenon of early school leavers;Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils(pupils work together specific activities);project meetings(evaluating, monitoring etc). All project activities are based on transfer and sharing of innovative practices in education that will result to improve school results and prevent early school leaving by studying the traditions and customs specific to each country.Implementation Methodology:teamwork, case studies,brainstorming,workshop-sites,documentation,practical activities, visits, discussions, role play, team building.Results:1 web page,1 Good Practice Guide:“Methods of preventing early school leaving in partner schools”,1 booklet""Our Easter Traditions"" ,1 Brochure""All about our nation -Life and Culture"",1 Drawing contest, movies, optional curriculum“European Customs and Traditions"".Impact on students:to improve school results and prevent early school leaving by promoting the traditions and customs specific to each country;the rise of self confidence and motivation to perform, learn and think critically and independently, the rise of the desire to learn; development of tolerance and respect for other cultures. Impact on teachers:The development of:pedagogical competences by comparing the system, practices, politics and educational systems with those in partner countries;linguistic abilities and competences;professional skills, required to management of early school leavers;Impact on the institution:An open-minded attitude of the school towards Europe;Diminishing school failures of students, through increased motivation of students involved in the project and perfecting relationships between students, as well as between students and teachers.Impact regional ,national and European:the promotion of national values, traditional products and of the tourist potential of partner countries;promoting common European values such as tolerance, respect for the traditions of other peoples or linguistic diversity, inclusive education;creating a European area of education and training and attainment of the objectives of the Lisbon strategy."

"In the world that has become digital in the 21st century, the competencies expected from students change. Interdisciplinary studies should be increased for the development of expected competencies and continuity. The Commission’s Contribution to the Leaders’ Working Lunch Gothenburg, are given importance such as STE(A)M (science, technology, the engineering, arts and mathematics), digitalisation, and artificial intelligence for target of 2025.Considering these objectives, digitization and STE (A) M are subjects that should be our focus in interdisciplinary studies. It is impossible to bypass the digital world while acquiring basic skills.Geometry is a set of disciplines taught in all European schools, the acquisitions of which form the basis of engineering and arts. Lessons end before students can fully acquire geometric achievements. The theories formed by Euclid are the foundations of geometry. Technical drawing is a world-class drawing method used in engineering, using geometric gains. Autocad is a digital computer program where two and three dimensional technical drawings are used in the field of engineering and architecture. CNC is the platform where three-dimensional(3D) digital drawings are transferred to concrete media. In our project, we aim to realize learning environments where two and three dimensional interdisciplinary “STE (A) M” materials can be created by using information technologies by integrating the axioms in Euclidean geometry and the gains in technical drawing lessons. In these learning environments; It is one of our main goals that students have gains in which three-dimensional thinking and design skills can improve, their digital competencies and their ability to use information technologies will increase, they can make interdisciplinary studies, European and world citizenship awareness and language skills can develop.Students with high academic achievements who have not been disciplined between the ages of 15 and 18 years; Teachers who master technical drawing geometry and information technologies will be included. 4 students and 2 teachers from each school will participate in each mobility of students. 2 teachers from each school will participate in each staff mobility. Depending on the conditions of the schools, a maximum of 25 students from each school,4 different school will be ensured to participate in eTwinning virtual mobility. In our project, 4 ""short term exchange group of pupils"" and 4 ""short term joint staff training events"" are planned. In addition, 3 eTwinning virtual mobilities are planned for students and 2 “Online Events” for teachers. Our project has four steps;1. Worksheets containing the axioms of Euclid prepared by the teachers in the 1st staff mobility will be implemented in the 1st student mobility and eTwinning virtual mobility.2. The worksheets containing the axioms and technical drawing acquisitions of Euclid prepared by the teachers in the1st staff mobility will be applied in the 2ndstudent mobility and eTwinning virtual mobility.3. With the worksheets prepared by the teachers in the second staff mobility, students will perform geometric drawings on AutoCAD using their technical drawing acquisitions. It includes 3rd student mobility and eTwinning virtual mobility.4. With worksheets where teachers prepare exemplary projects in the third staff mobility; Students will be able to realize 3D materials they designed on digital CNC by using Euclid's axioms and drawing rules. It covers 4th student mobility.Worksheets (WS) prepared with the constructivist approach, which teachers can prepare and use by students individually and in groups, will be utilized when connecting geometric gains to technical drawing and using the AutoCAD drawing program. WSs will also be used in student mobility in eTwining activities. While preparing WSs, they will first be tried by five students, used by students in schools, implemented in eTwinning activities and used four times in mobilities. Teachers will correct WSs with the feedback from students and turn them into modules. Students will enter the geometric design process after developing their computerized drawing and geometric skills. Working papers, modules and geometric designs will be published on the project website.Increasing the international project capacities of the schools, the students' ability to turn geometric gains into products with an interdisciplinary STE (A) M approach, developing the awareness of European culture, and the ability of individuals to manage their own learning processes individually and / or as a group are the predicted results of the project.Internationalization of schools, having a web environment that includes pioneering geometry and design in geometry and 3D design throughout the region, and that the created materials can be used for a long time are potential long-term benefits."

"The project ""The Identity of the Region – Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow"" involves two-year cooperation between six partner schools in an English language (Greece, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Italy) coordinated by the Polish school. The idea motivating all the schools is their development in European dimension, where a special pressure is put to the equality of educational opportunities, promotion of high level education, personal development and the values of identity and tolerance towards other cultures. Thus the main goal of the undertaking is to support the youth in acquiring and mastering basic skills and key competences, particularly the ability to freely communicate in English and digital competences by exchanging good practice. Moreover, deepening the knowledge of traditions, history, culture of all partner schools on the basis of regional heritage as a source of inspiration for creating various materials will stimulate intergenerational dialogue, will support the social, educational and personal development of beneficiaries of the project. All the school societies will be involved in project activities, including students aged 15-19. Teachers are the active side, who will enrich the project with their experience in international cooperation, pedagogical and personal competences. There have been planned plenty of activities based on the interaction between partners. The schools will cooperate in accomplishing the tasks planned and exchange experience required at every stage of the project. Each school will be responsible for the set task. They have been planned so as to make use of the potential of each institution.During two years there will be six five-day mobilities for students and teachers in each partner country, in which about fifty people from each school will take part. Additionally, two three-day training meetings for teachers will take place, in Poland and Italy. During the student and teacher mobilities, and between them, students and teachers will be deriving from partner experience and expertise, exchanging opinions about the tasks being accomplished and making use of their potential with the aim of developing abilities and expanding their knowledge. The coordinator of the project will be responsible for the relevant performance of the project, being in touch with all project teams appointed in the schools. Means of regular communication have been planned, ways of preventing risk have been defined, appropriate support and preparation before departures, the methods of accomplishing respective tasks have been planned, with the wide use of eTwinning platform. The constant evaluation is to enable to assess to what extent planned goals will have been achieved. Promotion and dissemination measures will be aimed at a wide group of recipients: in the school and local environments, through media, social networking sites, the Internet, conferences, assemblies and on Erasmus+ Project Results platform. There are certain results expected: increase in student language competences, more extensive use of ICT tools in the process of teaching and learning, including eTwinning platform, expanding the teacher expertise with new teaching methods and techniques by participating in workshops and exchanging good practice, developing cooperation with cultural institutions, building up the openness and tolerance towards other cultures. The cooperation with the European schools will influence the school staff, students and residents in a positive way, will make them more open to alterity, will enhance understanding and tolerance. Implemented materials will enrich the resources of school libraries and will compose appealing documents for using in classes or other extracurricular activities. Products as brochures, city adverts will be forwarded to local tourist information centres for the benefit of local communities and promoting the regions in the future. The teachers will be good role models motivating students to act and achieve determined goals in their own development. Moreover, developing teachers' competences in a didactic area will expand educational opportunities of subsequent generations of students. The achieved results will be extensively used during eTwinning project, which is planned just after completing the project actions. The main outcome of the project will be an online magazine accompanied by paper and digital materials, which enrich popular science and didactic resources for teaching and learning foreign languages in all the schools. There will be information about the countries, cities and schools, from which the participants come, guidebooks about local monuments and gardens of remembrance, information about customs, rites, folk costumes, handicraft, dying occupations in the regions, profiles of famous celebrities, attractions of the regions, portfolios of future occupations."
