AeRoTwin is twinning coordination action for spreading excellence in Aerial Robotics. The overall goal of AeRoTwin is to decrease networking gaps and deficiencies between UNIZG-FER and internationally leading counterparts in EU, by significantly enhancing S&T capacity of the Laboratory for Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems (LARICS) at UNIZG-FER. The project objectives are i) increase UNIZG-FER research excellence and innovation capacity in the field of aerial robotics, in the following Strategic Research Domains (SRDs): SRD1) cooperative robotic missions, SRD2) aerial robot navigation, and SRD3) aerial robot configurability by S&T knowledge transfer that will implement expert visits, short-term visits, joint summer schools and co-supervising PhD students and by hands-on experience that will implement on-site trainings, ii) enhance UNIZG-FER networking capacity and scientific visibility by strengthening links to aerial robotics research community by conference attendance, special sessions organization, workshops and tutorials attendance, participation in joint EU and international projects and publication of joint journal papers and by dissemination and outreach activities planned for a general public and school students, and iii) improve UNIZG-FER quality of innovation management and technology transfer, by strengthening links to aerial robotics industry by participation at industry fairs and by collaboration agreements with businesses, by strengthening links to aerial robotics end users by implementation of end-user oriented workshops, and by innovation management knowledge transfer by organization of innovation management trainings and technology transfer workshops. AeRoTwin will create the basis for a common framework for aerial robotics community involving EU and international leaders of the field. The activities of the project will contribute to the consolidation of the community and will create the assets to go beyond the end of the 3-year twinning.

The European bioeconomy strategy has estimated that the bioeconomy in Europe has a total value of €2.3 trillion, accounts for 8.2% of the EU's workforce, and is a central element to the functioning and success of the EU economy. The aim of P2P FINBIO is to enable innovation support institutions and clusters in regions across Europe to quickly and effectively develop new initiatives as well as refine current methodologies to identify SMEs in the bioconomy with growth potential, to engage with them and assist them through the process of obtaining access to finance, as a means of maintaining or increasing competitiveness, growth and jobs. The consortium consists of innovation support organisations working within the entire bioeconomy value chain, who recognise the need to learn from each other, to improve the process of assisting SMEs, start-ups and spin-outs with access to finance. The five partners will share the current support services and methods offered to SMEs and will exchange good practices in order to renovate insights and develop a common Design Options Paper. The Design Option Paper will be the result of the peer-review process and will serve as a guide for other innovation agencies interested in implementing the addressed innovation support service. For the best use of the results of the project the goal is set on the possibility to reach as many innovation agencies as possible with the support of the European Association of Regional Development Agencies, EURADA, the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), as well as clusters working with Bio-based Industries (BBI)

HP4All brings together leading experts across Europe to enable capacity and skills development within the Heat Pump sector and to ensure that the energy efficiency gains afforded by heat pumps are realised. HP4All, following a a holistic, systemic point of view, will work both with the supply side (manufacturers, SMEs, installers etc) and demand side (building owners, public sector etc.). This way, the project will enhance, develop and promote the skills required for high quality, optimised Heat Pump (HP) installations within residential/non-residential buildings bringing Europe to the forefront of the climatization sector. HP4All will develop the HP4All package, a set of different tools and resources to be used by the different related stakeholders. The package includes a HP Competency Framework to facilitate Mutual Recognition of HP Skills and, from an end user perspective, a HP Knowledge Hub will be created to provide guidance, support and tools e.g. procurement guidance to increase the demand for HP skills and knowledge. HP4All will validate this package through 3 regional plans being implemented (AT, ES and IE) with the ambition of driving market change, influencing end user decisions and planning for new innovations. The implementation plans will be informed by extensive stakeholder engagement to map current and future barriers to HP market exploitation and skills development. Leading experts in the HP and Energy sector will support the regional actors to prepare the market for new innovations related to HP technology, procurement and contracting services. The impact of the project will be maximised through the role of the Observers (HR, PT,RO ) as they will follow closely the development and validation of the HP4All package, being early adopters even before the project ends. Replication activities will include train-the-trainer, a roadmap and pan-European events for policy makers and public bodies.

The SYMBIO project provides European regional communities with tools and methodological approaches to building bio-based business models based on circularity by-design and industrial symbiosis. Thanks to tools for integrating big data and artificial intelligence, SYMBIO shapes 10 symbiotic business models with high-profitability sustainability replicable at the EU level to increase bio-based products on the market and provides a system to modelling, measure and monitor symbiosis and its social, economic and environmental impacts. SYMBIO methodology will be designed, tested and validated in 12 EU pilot regions (Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Emilia-Romagna, Carinthia, Slovenia, Croatia, Andalusia, Bruxelles Capital, Wallonia, Flanders) that have been selected based on the estimation of their bio-based resources defined by raw material availability, socio-economic indicators, intangible networks and infrastructures and potential for development of CBE close-to-market supply chains and current trends. Involving all supply chain actors in a quadruplex approach will help unlock and stimulate local development potential by promoting sustainable, innovative, tangible and participatory pathways to the green transition through an inclusive bottom-up CBE nexus.

ICT-BIOCHAIN brings leading experts and support networks to develop Digital Innovation Hubs within ready-made test bed bioeconomy regions to examine opportunities for ICT, IoT and Industry 4.0. to increase the efficiency of high potential value biomass supply chains. In 2016, the EU selected 6 "model demonstrator regions" to lead the way towards sustainable chemical production. Within ICT-BIOCHAIN, two of these high potential Model Demonstrator Regions, South East Ireland and Andalusia, will serve as test bed locations for the development of digital innovation hubs for biomass mobilisation. The competence centres will provide access within hubs to the best knowledge, information and technology to promote opportunities for ICT, IoT and Industry to be integrated into biomass supply chains. This will support the development of the EU bioeconomy by facilitating greater availability of competitively priced and sustainable biomass. ICT-BIOCHAIN will build on the work done in improving forestry biomass supply chains through integration of ICT tools, transferring state-of-the-art and new ICT, IoT and Industry 4.0 solution to region specific biomass supply chains. To ensure commercial opportunities are realised, project will build on ongoing regional bioeconomy developments and opportunities identified in existing Investment Readiness Analyses carried out for the Model Demonstrator Regions. To ensure consistency of regional biomass data sets, the ICT-CHAIN platform will build upon previous data sets tested within the Scottish Model Demonstrator Region. Once region-specific opportunities are identified, value chain coalitions of multi-actors will be developed through intensive knowledge transfer activities. Finally, the project will build networks with other bioeconomy regions, providing a roadmap and training to allow further replication of digital innovation hubs for the biobased sector in Europe.
