CONTEXTIn order to stay competitive and generate sustainable growth, European manufacturing SMEs need to keep up with Industry 4.0, which contributes to the merge of the physical and digital systems. The heavy reliance on computer systems, however, poses numerous challenges for the companies and Industry 4.0 in general. In recent years, one of the most pressing problems of the digital world is cybersecurity and data privacy protection. SMEs’ defence capacity is typically weaker compared to large enterprises and figures suggest that only 14% of the affected SMEs can recover on their own. What is more, „60% of SMEs which undergo a cyber-attack lose their business within 6 months” (National Cyber Security Alliance) and “Manufacturers are much more prone to threats to their security because of connectivity in IT and OT systems through Industry 4.0 digitalization,” (2017 Verizon data breach report). At the same time, SMEs manufacturing executives lack cybersecurity managing tools to assess their cyber risks and make sound decisions during a security incident. In addition, most manufacturing companies across Europe do not have a cyber team due to lack of talent. Responding to these challenges, ENISA stated that “to address the lack of IoT and Industry 4.0 security talent, it is essential to cultivate such knowledge both within and across organisational boundaries. Persons in charge of security within Industry 4.0 organizations should invest in state-of-the-art dedicated cybersecurity trainings that cover all necessary aspects specific to IT/OT convergence and Smart manufacturing. Lastly, trainings and courses at schools and universities (considering localisation to reach a wider audience) will further promote a better understanding of Industry 4.0 security among younger generations and thus in the long-term will contribute to raising awareness.” OBJECTIVES The Encrypt 4.0 main aim is to strengthen the capacity of manufacturing SMEs to ensure security of their data in the Industry 4.0 context and to contribute to tackling the cyber security workforce shortage via creating a comprehensive training package. The specific objectives of the project are:+ Enabling manufacturing SMEs management to adopt a proactive approach towards cybersecurity by supporting them in the process of analysing, identifying and tackling the cyber risks and threats applicable to their organisations+ Promoting interactive project-based learning with regards to boosting cyber-security skills and competences of SMEs’ employees or/and cybersecurity professionals;+ Strengthening peer-to-peer dialogue in the field of cyber security and give free access to critical analyses of lessons learned and cyber defence roadmaps TARGET GROUPS •Executives and head of departments in manufacturing SMEs;•Employees and/or cybersecurity professionals from manufacturing SMEs transitioning to Industry 4.0;•Vocational students with technical profiles;•VET trainers/consultants in the field of cybersecurity.INTELLECTUAL OUTPUTS01: Encrypt 4.0 Cyber Risk Audit Matrix (CRAM) – a comprehensive tool aimed at supporting managers of manufacturing SMEs to perform a comprehensive analysis of their processes taking into account the use of innovative Industry 4.0-based technological solutions and identify cyber risks and support them into designing and setting effective controls at place. O2: Encrypt 4.0 Cyber security training lab - a flexible online training tool that will follow a project-based training approach and where SMEs employees and other interested parties will be able to work collaboratively on different projects and case studies and thus boost their cyber-security skills.O3: Encrypt 4.0 Documental battery on cyber attacks – a tool which will give access to critical analysis of real cyber-attacks and lessons learned as well as roadmaps on how to prevent, identify, tackle and recover from them. The documental battery will be available online and interested parties will be able to share their experience with cyber-attacks and thus ensure constant upgrade and sustainability of the project output. IMPACTThe overall long-term impact sought by the project is to contribute to diminishing the skills & knowledge gaps between cybersecurity skills provided by VET and the ones sought by employers in the manufacturing sector, through the creation of sustainable VET-business cooperation.TRANSNATIONAL DIMENSIONSince Encrypt 4.0 aims to provide manufacturing SMEs across Europe with a package of tools to combat cyber treats, a pan-European effort is needed, ensured by the extensive expertise of all partner organisations. What is more, the transnational nature of cyber-attacks prompts that cyber crime goes beyond national boarders and only through shared knowledge and practices it can be adequately addressed.

BackgroundMobility is part of the flexibility considered important for the European labour force. Learning mobility, that is transnational mobility for the purpose of acquiring new skills, is one of the fundamental ways through which individuals, particularly young people, can strengthen their future employability as well as their personal development (European Commission 2009).The success of the placements abroad depends a lot on the extent to which the trainee gets in contact with the lifestyle, mindset and habits of the hosting country. In this process that is both personal and intercultural for trainees, the role of hosting organisations is central. SMEs represent the trainee’s “practical handbook” in the world of work and also for the country’s identity and environment (economic, social and cultural). Inadequate preparation of the hosting organization may result in entrenched negative stereotypes and a higher dose of ethnocentricism. The InterMobil project will seek to address the neglected topic of intercultural training of mobility hosting organization (especially SMEs). Project aim and objectivesThe overall aim of the InterMobil project is to create a more favourable environment for youth exchanges and mobility programmes in the field of VET and Labour Market placements. The project stipulates several specific objectives in order to achieve its overall aim:~ To develop an efficient intercultural training in view of the challenges youth mobility faces from the practice, training, research and employer’s perspectives;~ To remove the obstacles to successful youth mobility due to intercultural differences and misunderstanding;~ To strengthen the position of intercultural competences in EU youth mobilities programmes as tool to maximize the benefits of the mobility;~ To contribute to the increase of EU mobilities through raising the awareness and promoting the benefits for the hosting companiesTarget groupsThe target groups that the project addresses represent the various actors involved in the implementation of EU mobilities. On the one hand there are SMEs and similar organizations hosting mobilities, intermediaries facilitating EU mobilities and EU mobilities sending organizations. In other words the three sides of the process will be approached, their viewpoints considered and their observations and recommendations will be embedded in the learning materials. The aim is that each of these three types of actors is satisfied with the final products and sees value in adopting the materials for building intercultural competence. Knowing that all involved possess the necessary intercultural competence will bring more trust in their partnership and will facilitate cooperation. All these actors will be involved at different stages of InterMobil implementation – in the research phase, focus groups discussions, prototype workshops and small-scale events organized by the partners. Thus all of them will be given a voice and a chance to contribute to the development of the products. Expected outcomesThe project will result in three intellectual outputs:~ Learning content on intercultural competence – partners will apply a culture general approach, which is not focusing on specific cultures but on developing intercultural competences, which can be used in any environment. The learning content will cover topics such as: Cultural theories, Culture shock, Intercultural communication – language, Conflict management and de-escalation, Intercultural communication – paralanguage, Specifics of intercultural counselling, Practical student needs – the exchange student world, Host country culture and other.~ Handbook for SMEs – this product will be a short focused methodological document which will guide SMEs how to use the materials. It will present at a glance look on the learning materials and will also function as a teaser to read the full content.~ InterMobil project website – it will comprise all developed learning materials, the Handbook for SMEs, useful links to other projects or sites with similar content, the literature review carried out in the first months of the project will be also uploaded for further reference. The access to the materials on the website will be free of charge and registration won’t be required.

"UP&UP -UPscaling trainers's and teacher's competencies on gender stereotype to UPscaling the awareness among young people and fight the gender based violence is a project that would be define a new methodology and a training package available online aims to increase skills's educators, teachers, tutors, trainers and citizenship skills of young (especially those living in outskirts and internal areas) on a specific topic concerning respect for diversity, with particular reference to gender differences. The project depart from the assumption that only teaching of teachers and realization of a joint path with young people is possible breaking down stereotypes. The title of the UP & UP project summarizes this innovative proposal which, starting from the experience carried out of the partners, intends to raise both competencies of educators and young people. Thanks to an international comparison, the partners of this project will define products shared training and export in all educational contexts (schools, associations, training organizations). For the characteristics and the aims that the project intends to pursue it is placed within two of the priorities defined by the Program:- ""VET: Further strengthening of key competences in initial and ongoing VET"" where the objective is to raise one of the competences of the European Recommendation (Recommendation 2006/962 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 18 December 2006): the social and civic competence of the young generations. The project, by stimulating the reflection of young people through innovative and engaging methodologies, aims to increase awareness of the value of difference. This reflection helps to increase the sense of respect and grow up civic conscience by acting on the break down of the prejudices that are the basis of intolerance and hatred.- ""VET: initial and continuous professional development of VET teachers, trainers and tutors in school and work contexts"" as it intends to produce intellectual products for trainers but also tutors and mentors engaged in formal and non-formal learning contexts involving the young people (for example teachers and coaches engaged in sporting activities, but also tutors in work contexts), because they are easy to apply and enjoyable. Furthermore, in line with the above, the project pursues the transversal priority of the ""Supporting Educators"".For the realization of these objectives and the pursuit of the indicated priorities, the project is divided into two lines of action:1) Analysis and deconstruction of gender stereotypes, during which, each partner will conduct with the young (students, drop outs, young volunteers, young people involved in sports activities) the recording of internalized gender stereotypes, analyzing the cultural conditionings and families facing life trajectories and choices based on our biological sex. The link between sexist stereotypes and gender-based violence will also be investigated. The stereotypes contained in the mass media and those spread on social media will be analyzed through meetings and workshops with educators and young people.2) Development of an educational package for educators, aiming to product:- a manual for the early contrast to gender stereotypes, containing theoretical and practical references- an interactive training package consisting of operational tools for educators. It is planned to provide a version in all the languages of the partner countries and an English version of all the contents and tools and will be made available and usable through the project website. All the activities of the project will also be video-documented: educators and young people will be subject to building a storyboard of the project that will tell the central phases and the products of the activities carried out. The docufilm will be one of the Intellectual Outputs envisaged, alongside the web-doc and the training package. The project intends to evaluate the results of a counterfactual type strategy thanks to a methodology that includes a control group and a conclusion of the project. The 6 multiplier events foreseen, supported by the WAVE network, will allow the dissemination of the products and are an international and international level. The Department of Equal Opportunity of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers supports the project, ensuring a huge disseminations of the products."
