The Project Youth Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas in Mediterranean countries (YERAME) aims at increasing the capacity to support youth rural entrepreneurship in Mediterranean countries at an organisational level. The specific objectives are:• Share youth rural entrepreneurship good practices.• Train youth workers, job counsellors & young people.• Promote knowledge & use of the EntreComp framework in EU & third countries;• Promote knowledge of EU entrepreneurship programs.• Implement EU Youth Objective 6: Advance rural youth• Promote cooperation & cohesion between youth organisations from different areas of the Mediterranean (EU and non-EU).In order to do that the partnership will work on 3 main pillars:1) Research on Youth Rural Entrepreneurship. We ́ll look at good practices & Innovative & successful youth rural businesses that could be inspirational & transferable.2) Develop a Youth Rural Entrepreneurship training Programme in rural areas. Including:- EntreTOT (Training of Trainers on EntreComp framework) for at least 12 youth workers/ job counsellors.- Youth Rural Entrepreneurship Training Course will be developed and piloted with 60 potential youth entrepreneurs.- Holding Virtual exchange sessions.3) Develop a Mentored Youth Rural Entrepreneurship program. Each country will support young people developing their business idea & will held a national contest with 3 prices. The mentorship programme will help stabilise the starting of the business. The entire consortium will organize a National Stakeholders ME to share results, present the new businesses & enhanced project sustainability & local economy. Further, by the end of the project an EU ME will be held in Italy with 24 participants (project manager, youth worker & 2 young entrepreneurs per country).Throughout the project all 6 partners will assure to put in place all coordination, quality & evaluation measures & dissemination activities to ensure relevance, good quality & impact.

As global energy consumption continues to rise, resulting in higher energy demand, the inadequate supply of fossil fuels becomes apparent. Conventional diesel fuel, which is produced by distilling crude oil, is essential for driving automobiles. Renewable energy sources could be a viable substitute for conventional diesel that comes from fossil fuels. Triglycerides and alcohol can be converted into biodiesel, a sustainable liquid fuel, using a straightforward procedure called transesterification. After conducting research, the International Energy Agency (IEA) concluded that approximately 80% of the world's total primary energy comes from fossil fuels, with oil accounting for 32.8%, followed by coal at 27.2%, and natural gas ranking third at 20.9%. VERDEDRIVE [Harnessing by-products for the creation of eco-friendly and sustainable diesel fuel] rationale lies in suggesting investigating and examination of the possibility of utilizing by-products for the production of renewable and green diesel. Specifically, the project aims to conduct a comparative study of oils derived from alternative natural crops and raw materials—Roses petals, Sour Cherries (Variety Oblaćinska višnja), Maize, Local Soybean Variates and Cynara cardunculus—with the objective of identifying the most suitable raw material for the production of green diesel. VERDEDRIVE encompasses a comprehensive approach to biofuel production from by-products, integrating precision agriculture and surveillance technologies in the collection and processing stages, in conjunction with state-of-the-art methodologies from the fields of Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Modelling, Computer Engineering and Environment Engineering, aims to demonstrate a scientifically-sound approach to biofuel production. VERDEDRIVE activities are strategically positioned to drive innovation in response to demand in the biofuels sector.
