The strategic partnership was established for the exchange of good practices in competence development and social promotion, focusing in particular on digital and vocational education in order to strengthen key competences among disadvantaged target groups and enhance their opportunities for labour market integration and social inclusion. The foundation of the partnership for the exchange of good practice was the drive to create solid cooperation structures among the project partners and to jointly make a long-term contribution at European level in order to respond to the challenges of vocational training due to a changing labour market and ongoing migration movements.Refugees and migrants are one of the most disadvantaged demographic groups. Therefore, the need for digital education, which counts as one of the eight key competences required to achieve employability, is very high among this target group, as well as other socio-economically disadvantaged groups. Acquiring ICT skills, along with other basic skills, is essential for the future employability of these target groups as well as for their social inclusion and personal development in today's information society.Accordingly, the focus of the project was divided into two long-term sub-goals, the improvement of the digital educational offers for these target groups in the respective regions and an improved integration of refugees and migrants in vocational training and the labour market 4.0, as well as the strengthening of their social integration. The project team consisted of a non-governmental organisation in the field of sport and culture promotion with a focus on the social integration of refugees (AiCS), a vocational school for youngsters with an adult education centre for qualification and certification with an ICT focus (CEPROF) and a vocational training provider with a focus on professional qualification and labour market integration, in particular of refugees and migrants (ZAUG).Over the course of two years, the project partners shared their expertise in all relevant areas such as digital education, vocational qualifications, competence testing and certification, labour market integration and social inclusion of refugees and migrants as well as other target groups that are considered digitally excluded or disadvantaged. The professional knowledge and methodological competences of each individual partner complemented the specialisations of the other partners and thus enabled a comprehensive exchange of good practices in all areas addressed, stimulating new ideas for transferring and adapting approved methods for implementation in the regions and countries of the partners and beyond across Europe. The consortium developed a set of criteria for identifying and evaluating good practices, which includes certain quality indicators that the project partners considered relevant for their good practice collection purposes. Based on these criteria, the partners identified good practices that they or their partners have recently implemented and presented them to the consortium. The partners selected the good practice examples from a large number of practices, taking into account the evaluations of these by regional project advisory boards, which promised high relevance as well as great potential for transferability to the respective regions. The advisory boards consisted of associate network partners representing young and adult educational institutions, communal authorities, NGOs and experts working in relevant fields. The results of the ICT is the Future project are a catalogue of criteria for identifying and evaluating good practices in the areas relevant to the project and four collections of good practices with strategies for transferring and adapting to other target groups, vocational training areas and countries. This includes three national collections of good practices and one collection of good practices for European-wide use.Future projects that combine individual components of the various examples of good practices and develop them further so that they can be implemented in a larger European framework and in new fields of application are planned. The project is aiming to create a structured way of sharing and collecting good practices both in grassroots sport (including school sport) and youth work and make a collection of inclusive practices using sport and physical education that provide learning for inclusion and citizenship. Four organisations (Hungary, Germany, Bulgaria, Italy) joined their resources and experience to promote and develop the role of sport in empowering citizenship skills of young people to build more inclusive and democratic communities, by sharing and disseminating the practices of using sport and physical education as a tool for inclusion. The project will mobilize and motivate hundreds practitioners form the fields of sport, education and youth work and will involve 24 practitioners to exchange practices, will collect and document 24 practices of how to use sport and physical activities to improve inclusion of discriminated young people in schools, grassroots sport teams and in youth communities. Four partners and their associated partners - from fields of sport, formal education and youth work - will work together closely throughout this project, through meetings and exchange of practices where new professional relationship and partnership can develop. Four national consultation meeting will strengthen the cooperation among the associated partners on the basis of discussing the developing the role of sport in inclusion. It will create a focus on this issue and the people coming from the three sectors can learn a lot from each other. The four national and one international Toolfair event will provide space for sharing and exchanging these practices among successful practitioners using sport and physical activities for developing skills and competence of young people in creating an inclusive community. An online tool will be created to collect and disseminate these practices, theory and methodology within the partner organisations and make them available in all the participating countries for a wider public of all three domains (online collection of practices and methods). The online tool will be a reference of resources and cooperation for sport, education and youth work with the focus of inclusion of discriminated young people.Furthermore the project would like to provide recommendations to national sport policy administration, European Commission and also to the Council of Europe to show and develop the potential role of sport communities in improving inclusion and combat discrimination. We would like to document new ideas, needs and proposals that could be relevant for policy makers in the field of sport, education and youth work and advocate for widely use the potentials of sport for improving inclusion of discriminated young people in youth communities. Education though sport for inclusion and citizenship has great potentials in physical education of schools, in training coaches and PE teachers, and working with disadvantaged young people where there is nothing else than a football field in the village. In this regard the project could provide further evidence to policy makers for taking measures to develop conditions and competence in the three sectors. Access to safe and attractive public spaces for activity and the opportunity to enjoy quality recreation are vital to the health and personal development of all individuals. There are numerous barriers to individuals participating in physical activity. These include community, school, work and transport environments that are not conducive to incidental physical activity in daily life, high user fees, a lack of awareness of opportunities, transportation, time constraints, personal preferences, cultural and language barriers, self-esteem, issues of access to local recreation facilities and a lack of safe places to play. Strategies must be formulated to remove the barriers that are most relevant to each age, gender and socioeconomic group. Tackling inequalities in physical activity and achieving universal access to environments and facilities that support physical activity across social gradients will be necessary to achieve the best results. ""Sports For a Better World"" is an alliance that promotes innovative cooperation among the NGOs and federations in the sport sector across Europe. The main goal of the project is to propose political and strategic actions in order to promote physical activity in Europe. More specifically, the starting point of the reflexion is an alarming situation: levels of physical inactivity have reached an unprecedented peak in Europe. Indeed, according to the latest Eurobarometer survey on Sport and Physical Activity, 42% of EU citizens do not engage in physical activity at all. Consequently, our project aims at:• documenting the scale, costs and consequences of the physical activity crisis in Europe.• raising awareness of the physical inactivity crisis to decision-makers.• promoting physical activity for all as part of daily life• providing equal opportunities for physical activity regardless of gender, age, income, education, ethnicity or disability • removing barriers and facilitating physical activity• increase awareness of the importance of physical activity among key stakeholders• contribute to the achievement of optimal health for all people, the complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity• strengthening partner organisations’ capacities to design and carry out health-enhancing physical activity initiatives• increasing people’s active participation in to the local communities through developing their physical capabilities and inclination to personal effort, as well as social capabilities such as teamwork, solidarity, tolerance and fair play• developing, testing and exchanging new digital tools • developing practical guidance on how to organize and manage sporting events in order to empower people and make sport more inclusive and accessibleThe project will be led according to a three-step methodology:FIRST: We gather and analyse European data on the scale, costs and consequences of the physical activity crisis in Europe. Then, we use this research to raise awareness of the physical activity crisis to decision makers.THAN: We will develop curricula and make it available free of charge on the website and social media channels for the benefit of volunteers and professionals in sports organizations.THIRD: We will create an online portal and mobile phone application, where individuals can access detailed information about the activities and trainings that they can participate and organise in their locals.AND FINALLY: We will organize national seminars in the country of each project partner in order to disseminate the project results and to be used by different people.""Sports For a Better World"" will achieve the following results and potential longer term benefits;•Increased professional network with experienced practitioners and cross-sector collaboration •Developed knowledge and awareness around the holistic benefits of physical activity: •Closed gap between research and policymaking •Improved data collection and monitoring •Communication and public awareness•Developed innovative educational modules with newest knowledge and experience regarding beneficiary development incorporated into inclusion education; •Increased benefits to people through digital resources•Raised awareness/ empowered against the real needs of the sport and health sector."
