Starting from the idea that young people are the driving force of society, able to influence decision-making processes and shape the future of their reality, from local to global level, this project aims to foster the potential of young people to be active citizens and actors of real social change in their local communities. The project focuses on quality of youth work at the international level in terms of analysing and increasing capacities and possibilities of youth workers from civil society organisations and municipalities to engage young people in decision-making processes at the local level through local youth councils, and equipping young people with the skills and competences for quality participation. We believe that local youth council is a model that can have a huge potential in reaching out to marginalised youth that has something to say and can bring different perspectives of local issues, but is usually not in involved in such structures. Therefore, the project will focus on establishing and improving the existing local youth councils in the participating municipalities in Italy, North Macedonia, Morocco, Tunisia, Palestine and Portugal by developing a Quality charter on participatory and inclusive local youth councils and training modules, together with a series of trainings and capacity-building activities that will help capacitate the members of the youth councils to act as multipliers in creating an inclusive and representative democratic structure for youth participation in decision-making processes corresponding to the needs of their communities. Altogether, over 500 participants (youth workers, young leaders, young people, municipality officers) will be directly involved in the project activities. Due to the online dimension of part of the project actions, the project will reach far beyond the original partnership and aims to have a world-wide impact.

The idea of the Strategic Partnership project was born during one of the Erasmus+ seminars aimed at diversification of non-formal learning methods. Representatives of partner organizations are willing to share their common passion for new technologies and conduct a project useful for society. Every project group is unique, brings added value to the project. We are planning four internal trainings that will enforce the diversity of good practices among partner organisations. The project goal is the creation of a workshops scenario for adult learners based on the idea of the Internet of Things. The project is innovative as we are going to use a simple educational tool TUNIOT for teaching low-skilled individuals about programming and the Internet. As educators promoting non-formal learning approach, we put a priority on learning by doing approach. Workshops’ participants will program an Internet board by themselves, create a simple electronic system and calibrate the device. The topic of the workshops (and the Internet of Things) refers to everyday issues, which is why we are counting on positive reception within our target group. 'An intelligent plant' will be made during the workshops, that can communicate its need of watering to the user, utilizing a humidity sensor and an Internet board. We want to implement the project in purpose of popularizing non-formal learning approach and equalising differences in the access to adult learning opportunities as well as differences between generations. We believe that the access to diversified learning tools for adults in our countries is still not adequate. Free access to the completed educational tool and workshops scenario can partially change this status quo. The project is divided into two stages: design of the tool and workshops’ scenario, as well as dissemination of the results of our work. We start working on the results with internal trainings which will allow us to construct the final product of good quality. In the first year three Transnational Project Meetings are planned. During the meetings we will not only intensively work on the results but also monitor the progress of current actions. We want to develop and translate the tool for programming learning and create a workshop scenario that includes the use of our educational tool. In the second year each of the partners will lead at least one long-term workshop for a group disadvantaged in the field of technology. Our goal is to promote good practise of teaching adults, especially those in marginalised areas - municipalities located far from large cities. In order to increase the size of the target group, the prepared materials will be posted as an Open Educational Resource on European educational platforms in five languages: English, Polish, Arabic, Italian and Spanish. The result of our work will be the creation of an innovative educational tool, as well as a gain of valuable experience in the field of international projects management and the key competences. As the project outcome, we can expect the increase of elderly people’s digital competences and in the long term a higher number of individuals interested in new technologies.

“As cutting is a social norm, it ends with the entire community declaring that they will end it,” – this is the main motivation why we are doing capacity building of youth organization of this topic of female genital mutilation. More than 140 million girls worldwide are subjected to FGM, which involves the partial or total removal of external female genitalia. Although many think that this is a practice localised to areas of Africa, it’s actually performed in countries across the Middle East, and Asia, as well as parts of Europe and America. The type of cutting varies in different communities. It ranges from cliterodectomy (removal of the clitoris) to infibulation – which can include complete removal of a girls’ external genitals and sewing together to seal the wound that remains, with a small hole left for menstruation and urination. This obviously leads to lifelong consequences for the girl. One of the most immediate risks of this more severe form of cutting, also known as Type III, is death.“Standing up 2 FGM” is an inclusive and participatory project that aims in strengthening the capacities of Tunisian youth workers and NGOs in work with FGM. For reaching the foreseen project goals we have proposed methodology for execution of all planned activities. The activities planned are planned to include non-formal leading methodology, learning by doing, job shadowing’s, creation of workshop, training of training and coordination meetings. The project will build strong relationship between organizations in Europe and Tunisia. It will create a network of organizations from Europe and Arabic countries in area of fighting FGM.Our project will work on concrete development objectives for Tunisian organizations:- Capacities in work with FGM- Work with cultural activities in reaching learger audience and local communities- Work with ICT and social medias- Development of modular trainings and materials- Sharing skills and knowledge on practical work in Germany on support of woman right’s - Development of guide, videos, data base of trainers, training modules and web page- Create a strong centre for work with FGM in Arabic countries - Training and educating youth leaders/workers that will be skilled to carry out work with FGM - Improving youth support systems which will promote youth participation, especially in international context and in work with FGMOur project will have a long lasting impact and sustainability. The main reason for this are:Created materials: training modules; guide; web page; you tube videos; pull of trainers; Developed human resources of organizations: training of trainers; job shadowing and training of youth workers on different aspects of youth work; and Networking of organizations, development of strong networking of organizations that will continue to work on this topic.
