The annual average salary of a Computer Network Technician is $44, 562 per year in the United States and €47,793 in The EU, while a freelance technician earns $20.07 and € 25.35 per hour, according to payscale.com. Job opportunities for computer systems and network administrators are estimated to grow up to 15 percent during the period 2016-2026, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics by the top IT giants employers, such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, HP, DellEMC, etc. According to the job descriptions, a Computer Network Technician which is also known as a Network Technician, manages the network system of the organisation. Computer network technicians install, maintain, resolve, and supervise the use of LANs and WANs, besides establishing and maintaining the internet, intranets, and extranets of an organisation. Technicians monitor the day-to-day operations of an organisation's computer network. Project ""VETworking@NETworking"" is being developed in order to create new, structured, innovative and mainly unified teaching/learning IT programme called ""Computer network technician"" for vocational training institutions in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia. Analysing the near neighbourhood countries, such as Latvia and Estonia it turned out that the main places where the students can have such a big skill set are Universities. However, during the main tendency of the Ministries of Education the most non-theoretical skills can be graduated from the Vocational Education and Training sphere. According to that, the potential skilled student who could pretend for the job described previously can be graduated in VET training centers or IT schools. Kaunas Information Technology School was the first VET organisation which accredited the Computer Network assembler modular programme and since 2014 executed it successfully in Lithuania. However, we also need the good practice experience from another EU countries. Latvian VET education modular programme according to our partners should be updated because some parts are not up to date and must be supplemented by new technologies and innovations. Estonia has very strong modules from different specialties, especially for Cybersecurity but they are mostly focused on security or on general knowledge of technology and there is no specific structure for networkers. As a result, all the partner institutions has experience in partnerships or transfer of innovation projects. However, there is no institution in this project, which would have been created the unified teaching programme for some vocational training institutions from different EU countries. The combined international vocational training programme should be created by partners specialists who several years organised the studies in Network Technologies subjects. As described earlier each partner has some parts in their programmes but they are teaching very basic skills and the student can pretend for the better job during requirements. Moreover, the curricula of each programme, methodical material, subjects and planned number of hours are very different. So the main goal of the project – each partner specialists should create a new, innovative, united part for the modular Network Technician teaching programme for vocational schools or training centers. In other words, the main idea of the project is to collect the knowledge of other countries and to create the universal for Baltic States programme for Network infrastructure and technologies specialists, which should be based on the searching results of the ITVET principles. It must be expected that this new programme will make sense to become more appealing and effective for students and more easily applied for the Network Technologies jobs because would be orientated to teach more in practical way as it is required by VET. Participants: 3 people from each partner institution will be chosen. The first one will be responsible for coordination and cooperation. Two other people - should be the specialists of network technologies. Project's duration - 18 months. During this period 3 partner meetings and final one will be organised. After successful realisation of this project teaching curricula in IT sector will be renewed and created, vocational training in EU will become more popular, IT specialists will be more qualified and will have more opportunities to find a job abroad. What is more, unemployment in EU among young people will be reduced, vocational training institutions will improve international cooperation while working/searching common solutions and sharing responsibilities, developing mutual cooperation and communication. What is more, the new structured Computer Network Technicians programme for VET could be implemented not even in the Baltic states in the future. Also, the program due to full integration could expand in accordance to other EU VET institutions."

The secondary schools from Portugal, Latvia and the Czech Republic will cooperate in modifications of plain fabrics with using different techniques changing their surface, color or patterns. Handmade modificated fabrics will be used for designing and creating/sewing various garmens and their presentation in an international fashion show and national exhibitions. Since the schools prepare students for their professional career, the activities are focused on aspects of diversity in the textile/fashion production in the European regions with various traditions and roots. The main objectives concerning to the students and teachers are:1) learn 5 new techniques for modificating textile fabrics. The main aim of workshops is to change the plain fabrics/materials with using different methods of patterning, processing or changing structures. 2) work with the exact sizes of fabrics and remodel them to pieces of clothes3) increase participants ability to describe procedure of techniques in a detailed manual (description and / or video)5) show and learn how to promote own abilities, creativity, professional skills and final products made during the project - final fashion show and exhibitions6) create promotional, educational materials and products related to the textile handmade craft showing its diversity and possibilitiesAbout 150 participants (90 in international workshops) will be involved in the project, most consisting of students (age 16-19) and their vocational teachers who will plan, implement, produce, assess and disseminate activities and outcomes gained in the project. The opening workshop is planned only for the teachers and its main goal is to teach the techniques in advance for better estimations and planning the workshops for students. The aim of the following three workshops is learning different techniques of fabric modifications that can be used for plain/ordinary fabrics. In Portugal the participants will deal with technigues which change colors and patterns (tie dye + wax batik and lino print). In the Czech Republic they will work with the textile structure/surface of the processed textile and change it with heat and nuno felting. In Latvia they will learn Devoré (burnout) technique which combines changes in surface and colors with chemicals agents. However, the main goal of the project is not to produce textiles by these techniques, but to learn the individual techniques step by step and design and create and/or sew garments from the modified textiles. The final workshop and activities include the presentation of the produced garments at the national / international fashion shows and national exhibitions. The exhibited clothing accompanying with printed catalogues, photographs, videos and tutorials will be used by each school as a study resources and promotional materials for the Erasmus + programme. Proposed activities address traditional and contemporary textile arts, as well as analyzing, developing materials, semantics and technicians of textile objects, and applying new processes / techniques and new materials / materials. Experience has shown that the requirements of theoretical knowledge overbalance practical vocational skills and craftsmanships in vocational education. Handicrafts which require a combination of creativity and handwork have not been very popular nowadays. Students are interested in digital technologies, graphic design, photography, which are fields that are primarily focused on computers. The schools have realized a ceramic project which helped to increase students´interests in study. We hope that a similar situation will happen in fashion/textile design. The most significant objectives of motivation are to create conditions (workshops) in which are people willing to improve own skillfulness with interests and enthusiasm, expand the techniques taught at schools and increase the professional skills of graduates. It is believed that the project will help students and teachers to improve and enhance not only their professional and vocational skills but also transferable competences so important for their employability and increase interests of future students in studies at vocational schools.

For this, the students will study both European similarities and regional and national characteristics in order to become more self-confident in designing and crafting.During the project the students visit international furniture fairs (Cologne and Milan) to get new ideas, to improve their knowledge of modern design and to compare their ideas and final products with ideas proposed by famous designers. This project encourages students to work efficiently in international teams. Objectives:The target of the project ""Design - a Definition Approach in a European Context"" ist to engage students in research of well-renowned designers coming their own national background. The outcome will be presented in international teams which gives students the opportunity to learn and perceive cultural and professional differences by comparison and contrasting. Different cultural and historical background of team members will foster cross-cultural communication abilities. The next project phase contains the development of specific furniture objects using cutting-edge technology such as 3D-planning tools or augmented reality tools. At the end of this creative work phase students from Austria, Finland, and Latvia will meet for a workshop giving them the chance to manufacture models and prototypes of their ideas. Finally the outcomes of the workshop will improved and discussed with regard to economic, ecological implications. A final meeting in Riga, Latvia will be scheduled to evaluate the project, extract learning experiences and to plan professional dissemination of project outcomes.Participants:The participants are 2-3 teachers focusing on design theory, art history, and manufacturing technology from each participating school, respectively. These teachers supervise student teams up to 20 persons, age 15 to 20 years old. During work phases, 4 students will be chosen from each national team to represent their sending school at the international meetings described before. They are responsible for presentation and communication with the whole group. All students involved have a background in interior design or craftmanship.Activities:First of all, students will be engaged in research to get a good overview about design history of Europe. The teachers involved will meet in Brussels to widen their horizon and to visit EU-institutions in order to qualify them for knowledge transfer of EU-topics. The students involved will have a first project meeting in Raahe, Finland, where the output of the design phase is discussed. Afterwards the teams will develop specific furniture objects. It is planned to enable them to visit the interior design fairs in Cologne and Milano. These high-end trade fairs will give immediate feedback on the quality of own drafts. As a next interaction, selected team members will travel to Hallstatt, Austria to take part in a realisation workshop. Models and prototypes of furniture will be the output. Finally, real objects will be produced at each institution. These will be presented in the framework of a final project-meeting in Riga, Latvia, where the whole project will be critically discussed and the learning process will be evaluated. The remaining time will be used for the dissemination of project results.Methodology:Methodically, learning will be fostered by working on real-life projects and by the work in international teams. In other words a common project language - English, different cultural backgrounds and differeing problem solving strategies demand a high degree of flexibility and intercultural communication. Training these key competences throughout the projects is likely to improve the students competence to contribute to a progressive and peaceful European community. Results:At the end, the project should generate promising furniture object-drafts, high-quality visualisations (including virtual reality studies), technical drawings of the designed objects, real size prototypes, and a website showing the results. From a meta-level students professional and social abilites should be improved by the project and their interest for pan-European working should be enhanced. Finally, the organisations involved should expand their experience about EU-projects to go on with further projects in future.Impact:The impact we strive for is a positive connotation of Europe in students' minds. Also, the cooperation in a multi-cultural team is likely to lead to innovative designs, open-mindedness for different cultures, and improved English-language skills. From an organisational point of view, the project improves the EU-project management competence at the schools involved."
