"With this project we aim to develop and implement innovative methods in learning and teaching methodologies and pedagogical approaches, especially those delivering key competences and basic skills in media literacy education, language skills, and focusing on the use of ICT. We will improve the quality of the skills which are recognized as essential at European and national level, and raise awareness of their relevance at school and community level. Education, including non-formal learning, is the most powerful vehicle to promote common values, social inclusion and improve social integration and social mobility. In a digital society, media literacy the topic on which the Project focuses on , as a combination of digital and cognitive skills, plays an important role to promote EU values and social inclusion . Project activities will be allow digital inclusion of students which will also prevent ; social and economic exclusion, unemployment and poverty. Citizens who are not media literate face multiple difficulties to function fully in a digital society and this affects their full and responsible online participation. We live in a society that thrives on technology; it is pervasive throughout our daily lives. Everyone seems to have an iPod, cell phone, or laptop with them at all times. We have become a completely connected society with our Twitter, MySpace, Facebook....etc It is hard to argue that technology hasn’t improved our lives through medicine, communication, and entertainmentAccording to the searches ; children ages 8 to 18 now spend an average of 7 hours and 38 minutes per day with entertainment media outside of school. The media can entertain and inform our children in positive ways. However, since most children aren’t taught to use media thoughtfully, many media messages contribute to public health issues .Censorship and limitation are not desirable responses to the concerns about the mass media and their effects on the children and adolescents .We believe 'that the best way to prevent this addiction is only possible with the children’s perception ' , should be taken into account in directing children’s media consumption.By helping our teens become media literate, we can help protect them from pressures from advertising and other media forms to smoke, drink, use drugs, have sex, or eat unhealthy foods. We also can help them build communication skills, encourage them to consider multiple interpretations of media messages, put portrayals of themselves and others in perspective, and improve media use habits, such as changing ritualistic viewing behaviors. OBJECTIVES & RESULTS : O: Learn to think criticallyR: As children evaluate media, they decide whether the messages make sense, why certain information was included, what wasn't included, and what the key ideas are. They learn to use examples to support their opinions. Then they can make up their own minds about the information based on knowledge they already have.O:Become a smart consumer of products and information. R: Becoming a media literate will help children learn how to determine whether something is credible. It will also help them determine the ""persuasive intent"" of advertising and resist the techniques marketers use to sell productsO : -Recognize point of view. R : Every creator has a perspective. Identifying an author's point of view helps children appreciate different perspectives. It also helps put information in the context of what they already know -- or think they know.O -Create media responsibly. R: Recognizing your own point of view, saying what you want to say how you want to say it, and understanding that your messages have an impact is key to effective communication.O :Identify the role of media on society : R: Raised awareness regarding media usage , understand how media shapes society, and develop a critical approach towards media messages based on their own experiences, skills ,beliefes and values.O: Understand the author's goal. R: What does the author want you to take away from a piece of media? Is it purely informative, is it trying to change your mind, or is it introducing you to new ideas you've never heard of? When children understand what type of influence something has, they can make informed choices.Students will be working together in ongoing communication with peers from all partner schools via email, teleconferencing, eTwinning platform, project website. They will contribute to designing a project logo to be used by all schools in all forms of communication to reinforce the corporate image of the project, essential to the concept of international co-operation and fundamental to its successful outcome. They will produce photo exhibitions, mini films, presentations, e-newspaper ,photostories brochures, posters, photo collages, make interviews with famous people in their towns ,meet people from the local media ,transmit experiences."

This summary will be publicly available in case your project is awarded. The whole economy of modern societies rotates directly or indirectly around the STEM disciplines, so it is impossible to find a part of society that somehow does not interact with them: in fact, in its broader definition STEM Education includes the fields of information technology, engineering, earth sciences, science, mathematics, physics, astronomy, chemistry, life sciences.According to EU estimates, employment in the STEM professions is expected to grow nearly twice as fast as the average for other jobs, and it is estimated that by 2025 there will be a shortage of more than half a million workers in the field of Information and Communications Technology (ICT).Furthermore, it should be noted that among the most frequent causes of school dropout there are the failures that students experience in learning mathematical and technological-scientific disciplines; students who leave school prematurely find themselves with low basic skills that affect their employability. In line with the specific objectives of the Erasmus + program, the proposal aims to- promote the acquisition of specific skills and the strengthening of the professional skills of the teachers of the schools directly and indirectly involved in the project- inducing the teachers involved in the attention of the ongoing changes in the STEM sector by promoting the culture of lifelong learning and supporting them in learning through self-empowerment, both content and methodological, which allows them to face the growing diversity of learners and pedagogical innovations- support the development of the basic and transversal skills of the learners of their vocational training, i.e. oriented towards the labour market- support dissemination and systematic actions of open and innovative teaching methods- to stimulate the permeability between different sectors of education and training- improve the quality, innovation and internationalization of school education and training through transnational cooperationThe students who will take part in the 5 LTTA will be a total of 160, 32 for each school.During the 4 joint training events (Learning/Training/Teaching Activities) the hosting organizations will prepare each one a program on a different activity that involves the use of STEM education, using teaching techniques and methodologies such as flipped classroom, use of ICT and OER, useful for integration purposes also in other school disciplines. This training will have an even wider impact than on direct beneficiaries: to benefit from it will be all the staff and the student body of the institutions involved which, hosting the training events, will open the whole institute to the exchange of good practices and a positive contamination among the participants. Furthermore, the parents of the students will also be directly involved in some of the proposed activities. Thanks to the exchanges students will have the opportunity to interact with people and peers of different language and culture, to compare their respective contexts of life in person, in order to:· Take a cue for the subsequent planning activities and be aware of the conditions of planning and urban life· Develop the language skills related to the Italian and French languages, and of the other vehicular language, English, which will be used by students and teachers to communicate· Develop transversal skills, such as the ability to relate and compare in a different cultural and social context, the capacity for dynamism, entrepreneurship and adaptation to various situations, intercultural awareness and European citizenship.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the routine learning schedule of the students. The active hours that they would be spending at school for learning is being spent at home which means they are left behind their routine learning activities. Challenges of Distance learning were much more disruptive on language lessons that require dual, equal and intense interactions between teachers and students as well as between student peers. Therefore, we decided to provide a first aid kit for the distance learning with ""Distance education through Investigation of Services, Tools, Assessment, Interactions, and Design"" (DISTAID) project to find efficient and attractive solutions for the obstacles of distance learning in ESL perspective.DISTAID is a collaborative project among 5 partner institutions from Turkey, Romania, Poland, Portugal and Italy. ""DISTAID"" undertakes a key role of taking attention to online engagement strategies if applied for English teaching, learning and assessment purposes will help our learners to continuously involve themselves in the learning process and will also foster good study habits in them. All 5 institutions share common objectives, and will work together, both from a distance and during real meetings, to reach their aims.During the period of the DISTAID, participants will enhance their capacity for the development and integration of digital technologies and online resources in ESL teaching. Then, they will create new online resources and compile the existing ones that can be used to enrich the ESL lesson content, including; a list of innovative online tools, online resource usage manual, “Distance Learning Best Practices” catalogue, English Teaching Program, website, report, posters and presentations. The project will also enhance pupils experiences of modern and future communication technologies through a series of intercultural dialogue exchanges on platforms where they will be given opportunities to see that distance is no longer a barrier to effective and immediate communication. Now, more than ever, is the time to open up resources and share experiences to support the continuity of learning for all. The transnational structure of DISTAID will be a gateway to spread the learning solidarity as far and wide as we can, we will come out of the crisis as stronger learners empowered by digital. Teachers and students will have an opportunity to compare what is going on in their localities with other realities at a European and global level in order to confront opinions, as well as to find out different cultures, people and methods. Students will work in mixed, international groups helping each other to complete the tasks by sharing their methodological and language competences as well as their knowledge, which will help to develop their skills further. The teachers from different countries will be able to create innovative tasks and develop new methodological approaches in teaching while sharing and comparing their national approaches and experience. E-twinning is going to be used as a way of long – distance communication and working and is planned to be a continuation after the project is over.To implement our partnership and hit our objectives we have shared tasks amongst us according to each other’s experience and expertise. We’d like to take advantage of the resources we have at schools, meaning teachers, advisers, parents, graduates companies and institutions representatives (e.g. e-learning center, research and development centre), who have declared free help and consulting in the project. The project held 5 transnational meetings at which each partner prepared 2 good practice examples of digital methods, based on an evaluation grid, providing criteria for good digital teaching. The practices had been documented in a e-catalogue which is for free downloadable. As a result, this partnership will not only help our learners (about four hundred) to develop spoken skills in foreign languages and build their European citizenship, but will raise their future social inclusion opportunities as well. Teachers involved (around fifty) will be given the opportunity to develop their language skills and learn how to incorporate innovative digital and ICT teaching tools in their practices and make their classes more engaging and more challenging for their pupils."

"<< Background >>Climate change is having a negative impact on the environment, the economy and people's health and is now considered one of the biggest challenges facing humanity in the twentyfirst century. In the past few years, various initiatives have been launched to try to curb climate change. Education is an essential factor in the ever more urgent global fight against climate change. Knowledge regarding this phenomenon helps young people to understand and tackle the consequences of global warming, encourages them to change their behaviour and helps them to adapt to what is already a global emergency. Benjamin Franklin once wrote: ""An investment in knowledge pays the best interest"". In environmental matters, and more particularly, in anything related to climate change, UNESCO endorses this view. For UNESCO, education, especially when focused on children and young people, is a key factor in helping to curb climate change.Specifically, it says that ""education... encourages changes in young people's attitudes and behaviour and helps them to adapt to climate change-related trends"".Schools , have a central role to play in helping learners understand the causes of climate change so that they can make informed decisions and take appropriate actions, and in acquiring the necessary values and skills to participate in the transition to more sustainable lifestyles, green economies and sustainable, climate resilient societies.Being aware of our responsibilities as educators , we have decided to create ''ENVIRONMENT LITERATES OF EUROPE '' with 6 partner schools from Europe. Our project will help our students world-changer to begin thinking about important and relevant issues like preservation of the natural balance of the environment, climate change, the effects of pollution, waste management, and renewable energy. Also, by the help of our project we want to motivate our students to learn English and enrich their knowledge of European culture. ICT will be in the roots of our study and used extensively throughout our project and we will all support its usage and development. With regard to the teachers within the project, we encourage them to learn and apply new and different pedagogical approaches. Our objectives are :- improving our students confidence to take actions and believe they will make a positive difference; - increase our students’ Respect for the biological, social and cultural diversity that is fundamental to our World*To help our students to become environment–friendly citizens,*To strengthen the international cooperation through sharing good teaching learning practices*To prepare and deploy the education and training of professionals for equity, diversity and inclusion challenges in the learning environment*To facilitate the recognition and validation of knowledge ,skills and competences acquired through formal ,non-formal and informal learning.*To expand ICT and language skills which they can use in a meaningful context.Participation in the Project '' ENVIRONMENT LITERATES OF EUROPE '' will bring to the people involved a sense of belonging to the community and to the environment, as well as a sense of empowerment in the meaning that children will realize that they can do something to stop the degradation of the environment, and to help its restoration. Hopefully, the schools can introduce environmental related subjects in their local curricula, with reference to the experience of the Project..The results of this project can be used for further cooperation between the schools, but also the locally established connections can be used for further cooperation. Our aim is to rise awareness to easy understandable level and that is reachable for all levels of society. Our documented videos, booklets ,broshures and presentations from across Europe will show and express students excitement and involvement in common issues ,so we are convinced that the results will integrate as a natural part of study process. It has always been regarded<< Objectives >>Our students will begin thinking about important and relevant issues like preservation of the natural balance of the environment, climate change, the effects of pollution, waste management, renewable energy..etc. In addition, we intend to help the students become ""watchful eyes"", meaning that they can also generate a wave of change in their communities, and feel empowered to have an impact. Also, by the help of our project we want to motivate our students to learn English and enrich their knowledge of European culture. ICT will be in the roots of our study and used extensively throughout our project and we will all support its usage and development. The main objectives of the project is to improve their UNDERSTANDING : the interdependent nature of our society and life on our planet - the limited carrying capacity of our planet - : the value of biological, social and cultural diversity in maintaining the wellbeing of our planet and our society - : the role of rights and responsibilities in a sustainable society -: the presence of risks and the need for precaution in making decisions about our planet and our society.During the period of this school partnership projects, participants will understand exactly what is the danger of the climate change in each partner country, they will investigate the causes of global warming. Then, they will produce awareness raising materials. Actually, the challenge of global warming research entails not only the gathering information but also its management, performing and communication. With this perspective, we ensure our students to take part in useful activities in different environs and with diffent students from other countries. Our students and parents will be aware of the problems in our environment, differences of landscapes, importance of global warming, and cultures. Students will make biological contributions to the environment. Participants all will be experienced in taking responsibility for their own environmental problems which will contribute to their ability to learn and self-develop scientific studies. Thus, within the first year, schools will compare each other's country in geographical and ecological problems by using project-based methods of scientific studies such as making analysis, commenting on en event, finding problems etc. Then, in the second year, partners will define and try to find likely solutions to the extinction of plantsMoreover, THERE IS NO PLANET B project involves collaborations among physicts, biologists, geologists and ecologists among five countires. Biodiversity loss is our loss, and we consider that this collaboration at international level will be an effective way to help stop its loss. Last but not least, the seeds we saw to thoughts of our students today will grow, and will be harvested in the future as becoming environmental adults.<< Implementation >>*Administrative arrangements:*Each organization will formally appoint the members of the Project teams with clear responsibilities and tasks (project manager, spokesperson, ICT technician, budget coordinator etc).*identification of available resources (material, human, financial, information ) for the Project-*Establishing contacts with other local organisations in order to present proposals for collaboration and dissemination.*A project corner will be made in every partner organisation in a visible place. And open to everybody. All the results and items related with the project will be shown there,*Creation of The European Erasmus + Team, or EET ,which will be the management teams in each country made of 4 people: the principal , the project manager,a science & ICT teacher. In addition an approximate number of six other teachers will be involved in activities, both locally, and trans-nationally.*Creation of ECOTEAMS - 20 pupils in each school.*Preparing the pps / videos of schools & countires to be shared with partners .*Creation of project etwinning page .*International logo competition will be held.*We will create the website of the Project*WHAT IS HAPPENNING ? workshop- Students will make researches about : Is the climate in Earth really changing? What is weather? What is Climate? What is Climate Change? What is the “greenhouse effect”? Greenhouse Gases. They will make a video - TV programme ( weatherforecast / discovery / TV news / talkshows..etc ) with their findings giving information about climate change**Students making researhces : Changing effects and impacts ; what are the effects of climate change on the planet and ecosystems? How does climate change impact different people around the world? Is everyone affected the same way?*They will evaluate one climate-related risk faced by their local community, town, city or country, (for instance, the risk of droughts or heavy precipitation.) What are some of the impacts of these extreme weather events and what can individuals do to reducethe causes and effects?*Students will make visits to local authorities working on environment issues and make interviews with experts about the topics mentioned above .The outcome of the work will be '' CHANGING EFFECTS , IMPACTS & SOLUTIONS '' , an online booklet prepared by the TR partner . *Creation of WORD CLOUDS '' What human activities affect climate change? ''*International essay competitions on '' What does our future look like?''*Creation of GAMES : Each partner school will prepare 2 games digital / non digital related to environment problems.Students will evaluate the games with questionaires , the outcome will be an online booklet which will be prepared by the Spanish partner .*Students will search and prepare GREEN PASSAPORT BROSHURES about their regions to give information tourists to sustainable ways of travelling, by choosing the least polluting form of transport, finding low impact accommodation options, improving their energy efficiency at destinations and offsetting the inevitable carbon emissions of their trip.*Creation, and evaluation of survey : Carbon footprints which show our impact on global warming by calculating the greenhouse gases (GHGs) that our lifestyle produces in a year, measured as tons of carbon dioxide equivalents (CO2e).( will be conducted to 50 students in each organization) *Each school will prepare videos about the topic: Reducing energy usage 1- at school & 2- at home ( for ex:Controlling lights and appliances , heating water ,cotroling temperature ..etc*An awareness rasing activity at schools- Preparing posters , bulletin boards : A SMALL ACTION MAKES A BIG CHANGE ( for ex ) How can switching a light off to reduce electricity use also reduce the risk of flooding on other side of world?)<< Results >>Among the results of this project, we can mention:KEY SKILLS DEVELOPED : * Understand the relationships and connections between issues in order to make decisions and solve problems in a joined-up way;•Enable co-operation and collective decisions even where views and power may not be distributed evenly;•Think critically about problems, issues and situations and to shift thinking from how to make things less unsustainable, to the kind of systems and lifestyles needed to achieve sustainability.*Use of ICTKEY ATTITUDES DEVELOPED : • Confidence to take actions and believe they will make a positive difference;•Appreciation that individual behaviour must be balanced by our responsibilities as members of a wider society;•Seeing humanity as part of a natural world with limits and living in harmony with it as a resource for human development;•Respect for the biological, social and cultural diversity that is fundamental to our world;•Caring for self, for others, for living things, and for our planet.
