<< Objectives >>The objective of the project is to provide adults of all ages with the values and skills they need to become more resilient. To do so, the project partners will produce an e-learning platform with educational contents to provide adults of all ages with the values and skills they need to become more resilient. The platform will be published in languages 4 (English, Danish, Spanish and Polish) and it will be accessible for free from computers, tablets and smartphones.<< Implementation >>We will produce a first version of the e-learning platform in 4 languages (English, Danish, Spanish and Polish). Afterwards, in order to assess how effective the e-learning platform is, we will organise a transnational pilot testing with 90 adults from 3 EU countries (Denmark, Spain and Poland). Based on the results from the transnational testing, we will improve the e-learning platform before disseminating it across the EU.<< Results >>The first open and multilingual e-learning platform to provide adults of all ages across the EU with the values and skills they need to become more resilient. The platform will be published in languages 4 (English, Danish, Spanish and Polish) and it will be accessible for free from computers, tablets and smartphones.

Between October 2017 and September 2019, the partners of the Erasmus+ project Firefighters Plus (www.firefightersplus.eu) developed an innovative set of online courses and tools to inspire and support firefighters across the EU to use their position as role models to promote social inclusion. The project results were well over the initial expectations: it won the European Fire Safety Award; it was presented as a good practice in the European Forum on Integration of Migrants and Refugees in Hamburg (Germany); it was presented as a good practice in the International Safety Education Seminar in Antwerp (Belgium); it was presented as a good practice by the Danish National Agency for the Erasmus+ programme; in Poland, the National Chief Fire Officer recommended all firefighters across the country use the Firefighters Plus online platform; in the Netherlands, the Firefighters Plus online platform was presented at the Dutch Fire Congress; etc. Similarly to firefighters in the context of the Firefighters Plus project, whose position as role models is because they are ranked as the most trustworthy profession across all global regions (Trust in professions, GFK Verein, 2016), most people have a very positive perception of fire cadets. Therefore, fire cadets also have a big potential to use their position to promote social inclusion. However, there is an absolute lack of training and tools to inspire and support fire cadets in doing so. In this context, the objective of the project is to strengthen fire cadets' sense and capacity of social initiative by developing the online platform www.firecadetsplus.eu. The online platform will be accessible from computers, tablets and smartphones, and it will include: - an online course on how fire cadets across the EU can use their good image in society to promote social inclusion; - a tool to assess the learning outcomes from the online course and to generate a certificate for users to add to their Europass documents; - a toolkit with methods and tools that fire cadets can use to plan, implement, follow-up, evaluate and disseminate the results of actions to promote social inclusion; - a collection of good practices and inspiring stories from fire cadets across the EU promoting social inclusion. In order to assess how effective the online platform is, it will be tested with fire cadets from 5 EU countries. The fire cadets will first complete the online course on how they can use their good image in society to promote social inclusion. Upon the completion of the online course, they will evaluate the acquired knowledge and skills using the assessment tools of the platform. After completing the online course, the fire cadets will choose from the platform and implement in each pilot two methods to promote social inclusion (e.g. smart help, intercultural exchange, awareness campaign, …). Based on the results from the testing and the feedback from the fire cadets, the project partners will implement the necessary improvements on the platform and will publish the final version in November 2022. The project will be implemented by a transnational and transectoral partnership involving both experts and end users from five EU countries. Beyond the project partners, the online platform has the potential to be exploited by a wide range of organisations and individuals, for example to train other cadet forces (e.g. army cadets; sea cadets, …) or to train youth workers on innovative methods to promote social inclusion. Thanks to its deployment as an OER under the Creative Commons license 'Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0)', anyone will be allowed to freely use all the content as well as to modify it and build upon. Therefore, the online platform will serve as the impulsion for future innovations and developments in the European youth sector.

Context/background of the project:Industrialisation is one of the most important factors in the development of societies. When looking at the developed countries today, we see that they stand out with their industries and they have a saying in the global markets. Today, industries of the countries give direction to the economy of the country as in the past. However, industrialisation brings several problems aside. Industrial fires occurring today are the most important ones which have become the nightmare of the industrialized societies. When we look into the industrial fires happened from past to today, we can see they create great damages in terms of life, goods and environment. Damages caused by industrial fires are too much to compare with the normal fires; moreover, industrial fires give great damages to the economy of the country as well as to the environment. In parallel to this, industrial fires are completely different from normal fires in terms of interventions and precautions. Fire Safety Management for industrial fires, intervention techniques, equipment, competencies, and skills are completely different from other fires. From this point of view, fire safety management of the industrial fires is a special subject. However, in many countries including member countries and our country, there is not a Fire Safety Management training module for the industrial fires (EQF Level 8) and training (competence based) given in this field is not sufficient enough. For this reason, qualified personnel working in the field of fire safety do not have inadequate up-to-date knowledge and competences in terms of fire security management of the industrial fires. The intangible objective of Indfires project is the fire security management of the industrial fires. Within this regard, a professional profile will be developed by transferring the most innovative and effective methods for the intervention techniques and for the protection of industrial fires. Objectives of the project:1. Fire Safety Management training module for industrial fires (EQF Level 8).2. “Fire safety management” manual for industrial workers.3. E-learning and online testing module4. Pilot trainings5. Action planNumber and profile of participants: 3 persons from Karabük University, 2 persons from Safranbolu Municipality, 2 persons from Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate, 1 person from Karabük Co., 2 persons from Slovenian Fire Protection Association (Slovenia), 1 person from FireAid (Denmark), 2 persons from Unicam University (Italy) and 2 persons from Gdansk Technology University (Poland) will participate.Description of activities:1. Inventory analysis and Current Status.2. Preparation of the Training Modules and Booklet.3. Pilot Trainings.4. Preparation Action Plan.5. Open education source (E-learning and online testing module).6. National and International Meetings.7. Dissemination and Exploitation Activities.Short description of the results and impact envisaged and finally the potential longer term benefits:a. With pilot trainings, participants improved their competence in providing higher transfer of expertise.b. Participants gained a higher sense of competence in foreign languages.c. They gained a greater awareness of social and cultural diversity.d. They have developed a more positive attitude towards EU values and different cultures.e. They increased their knowledge and experience on Erasmus + KA2 strategic projects.f. They gained awareness of inter-country education systems and educational policies.Expected impacts on partner institutions:a. Vocational training capacity of partner institutions was improved.b. Synergy has been developed among partner institutions.c. Project preparation and implementation capacities of the partner institutions for Erasmus + KA2 strategic projects were developed.d. The international recognition of partner institutions has increased.Expected effects on target groups (Short term):Target groups have improved their professional competence in industrial fires safety management. With the IndFires project, the current situation of industrial fire safety management system in our country and partner countries will be evaluated and finding solutions on the problems and difficulties in this field at the national level will be contributed. Facilitating national dialogue at policy level regarding the problems and challenges related to industrial fire safety management will be contributed, and the action plan will be developed to contribute to the implementation of national policies in this area. Expected effects on target groups (Long term):The IndFires project is an innovative transfer project. Training modules, training materials, booklets, web site and web modules obtained through project studies will contribute to the national vocational education and training system of the partner countries.
