"Througout the project entitled ""The environment is our future, the environment is Europe's future"" four Belgian, Czech, Dutch, French, German and Luxembourgish students worked on the following topics:- sustainable food- energy and ecology- ecological lifestyle- circular economy- nature and science- sustainable energy and automotiveThey were between 15 and 17 years old and were chosen by their teachers based on their motivation, interest and maturity. In the course of the activities they familiarized themselves with environmental problems and found ways to reduce their own environmental footprint.A wide variety of topics related to sustainability were discussed. Each country put its own emphasis. This gave the students more insight into the developments in the field of sustainability from various international perspectives. They were given the opportunity to experience the possibilities the different countries see in achieving a sustainable economy and society, the way they deal with the environment, and what measures are taken to protect the environment. In particular the international aspect led to a broader view of sustainability. Each topic was approached from different disciplines. Thus, several disciplines were involved in each project (for instance biology, economics, engineering, physics, chemistry, art). Specialists from such disciplines were invited to inspire the students and to provide more information. Visits to companies and the deployment of specialists from the various disciplines offered more expertise and a broader view at the problem. Through debating, creative activities, experiments, workshops etc. students reached the most important aim of our project: to raise people's awareness of ecological issues. Moreover they improved their language skills and teamwork abilities."

"Many pupils have skills in the creative sector , which are hardly used or promoted in school life. Unfortunately , it is observed that more and more students have problems with learning languages. Therefore, we have the idea to promote languages through creativity: The pupils will participate during the project at various creative activities which will allow them to deepen playfully the languages. The project is intended to promote both ""basic skills "" and ""high skills"". Combing fun with learning (foreign) languages is perceived as one way to prevent early school leaving. In addition, our project is to improve the quality and efficiency of language teaching , so that sustainable results will develop in the schools by long-term improvements. It should be ensured that pupils have an improved chance to find employment in the labor market. The innovative element in this project is the interdisciplinary approach. It is expected that the creative activities in subjects such as art, music, theater ... allow significant progress in the learning and use of the mother and/or foreign languages. The project combines the teaching of languages (grammar, spelling, vocabulary , writing texts, ...) with the classes in creative subjects through innovative activities. Each partner school has selected a topic:1) Dance (Vzw Wico Campus Sint-Hubertus)2) Poetry and music (Valkenswaard)3) Comics (Städt. Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftliches Gymnasium Mönchengladbach)4) Musical ( théâtre musical) (Institution Notre Dame des Anges )5) Photography (Gymnázium Šternberk)6 ) Singing and music ( Lycée classique de Diekirch )In principle it is possible to students of all grades , except the final school classes to participate in the project. Each partner school proposes certain grades for their activities and meetings organised by them. Each partner school has also the possibility to introduce Erasmus+-classes or optional Erasmus+subject .The project will be run mainly by teachers from creative subjects such as art , music, multimedia .... as well as the language teachers (parent or foreign languages)."
