Due to geographical, Social and cultural aspects, each country contributes individually and particularly to the project. Inda-Gymnasium Aachen is the coordinating partner. Water is the origin of life and affects mankind on the whole world. Therefore, we want to deal with the manifold aspects of water and its importance for our daily lives in the context of an international exchange. The participating partners have a different view on the availability of water, providing the students with the experience and the awareness of access to drinking water and a thoughtful reflexion of their own water consumption. Topics covered within the three-year project activities are:- Water conditioning, chemical and physical properties of water - Water treatment and drinking water abstraction- Distribution of water in the geological, geographical and political context- Water and agriculture - Water as a threat: flood and flood control- Infrastructure: economical an ecological issues- water power, geothermics- water as economic factor, tourism, wellness- the intercultural dimension of water:water in Art, music, literatureThe international dimension of the project refers to the UNESCO topics ""water"" as well as ""World Heritage Earth"" as different concepts of life and different perspectives on the dependence of water are being examined from economical, ecological and cultural points of view. Water is part of different curricula in all countries, therefore the project provides the chance to benefit from its results and products to a large extent.Aims of the project are the awareness of the various forms of using water, the exemplification of the international relevance in various contexts and the developement of solitions for problems related to the topic of water. Our students are going to analyse their own water consumption in the light of sustainability in order to realize the European and the global importance of private and public use of water. In this context we also deal with the problematic distribution of water. On the one hand, the aim of agriculture in arid environments is the international market thanks to irrigation, on the other hand politicians discuss the privatisation of drinking water supply. The latter would mean that water becomes a trading good instead of common property. We want to discuss the access to drinking water as a human right. Besides, we intend to work on the economical dimension of water as energy ressource, infrastructure and its importance for tourism, taking the ecological repercussions into consideration, too. The basic aim of the project is the awareness of the cross-border, interdisciplinary importance of water and the resulting consequences and challenges, also for our daily routines. This aim cumulates in a charta on European water protection, comprising a comparision of the national implementations of the corresponding EU directives. According to Europe 2020, the project focuses on the future and on sustainable growth. Our students aquire and extend their presentation and research skills. They learn how to plan, carry out and analyse surveys and other data collection methods. They gain an insight in social science and academic research. They improve their foreign language and intercultural skills. The activities, which mainly take place in the course of the transnational meetings, comprise for example visits to water treatment plants and power stations, analysis of water consumption and the presentation and documentation of working results. Students participate both in a cognitive and holistic way, for instance by cooperating with ""Engineers without Borders"" and by developing filter systems for water treatment. As a long-term result, the students increase their appreciation for the precious resource of water as a basis for a sustainable and social life."

However, some healthy life habits have disappeared in recent years among teenagers, since fast food, passive lifestyles and excessive use of modern devices have taken over their daily time. According to the World Health Organization, only one in ten people exercise regularly and a majority do not follow a healthy diet. Overweight and obese people suffer from many health complications such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and even cancer. Modern society, including schools with many students, face more and more challenges how to tackle the issues connected with addictions, mental state, fitness and overall well-being. School lessons and traditional methods are seldom outdated and students at risk age should be offered exciting ways how to deal with challenging problems. Our target audience will be students from the age 12-15, because the emphasis on healthy lifestyle in its broadest meaning should start at a young age and accordingly parents and educators must offer their children healthier choices in life, physically and mentally. We also feel that students whose daily life is dangerously closely linked with social media, should be offered variety of other healthier alternatives, or at least combined with numerous choices.""Prevention is the best cure"" is a popular saying among healthcare professionals. The main goals of our cooperation are to increase the knowledge of the importance of a healthy style of living in each partner's country and to find out and introduce the good habits of each culture, as well as to improve our school study process by introducing non-formal methods as a way to engage students and teachers in this challenging process. We will pay special attention to one another's eating habits, products and traditions and the way each school and community deals with the emotional education.Profiles of the involved schools share common features being state schools in big communities, also trying to find solutions and provide engaging methods in order to prevent addictions, increase awareness about widely discussed topics; moreover, searching for effective ways of presenting knowledge and involving students. All partners think, that Erasmus+ is as an effective, exciting and long-lasting opportunity to spread good practice across different schools in Europe. Results of the collaboration are planned as follows - 10 practical plans for lessons and events will be produced, 8 educational videos about cooking and languages will be made, 4 research magazines will be issued to use in lessons, 1 wide primary school level research about teenagers' habits will be carried out among more than 1000 European students. Valuable educational lectures and practical workshops will be held, important international teamwork will be carried out during several mobilities, local community will be involved as help to organize events, various sporting, cooking, entertaing activities will be organized. We will use such methods as group work, case research, pair work, using meaningful IT tools, interviews, questionnaires. The educational process at schools will be considerably improved by giving creative approaches to teenagers and their families, plus enriched with non-formal methods and innovative lesson plans. Students will rise their awareness and widen their essential skillsets regarding vital values- health, well-being, mental state and practical life experiences. We hope that - due to our cooperation – our students and their families will take responsibility for their own choices concerning a healthy style of living. We believe, that the cooperation among different European countries will open our students' minds to other cultures and nations. By carrying out a variety of practical activities, we would like them to feel a part of the European community - to broaden their horizons and to get to know and accept people from other cultures. Another important advantage of taking part in this partnership is the use of English as the project-language. Students and other involved school staff members will learn and practice English in real-life contacts, which will increase the motivation to learn more European languages. Also, school staff members will have to practise their management and organization skills. The project results will be published online, so they are available for free to any public members. School webpages and project webpage will be used for this purpose. The eTwinning platform, in particular Twinspace, will be used to establish contacts, disseminate project materials and other documentation. Lesson plans and magazines, alongside with video materials will be distributed in the local school meetings, if possible also internationally and during local events for school members. Thus, we will provide a wide dissemination of our project."

Schools are one of the places where children and young people interact intensively. So, peer bullying is most common in schools.Research shows that approximately half (150 million students) of 12-15 year-olds are exposed to peer violence in and around the school (UNICEF - 06 September 2018). It means approximately one out of every two students was exposed to peer bullying. It is not different in our school and our partners' schools. According to the survey results, we need to study this subject to provide the best school atmosphere for teaching and learning. Although there have been long-term studies about peer bullying in the institutions of our collaboration, it is obvious that we cannot meet the needs of our schools in this regard. For this reason, as 5 schools in different places of Europe, we aim to minimize the problems caused by peer bullying in our schools, to create a positive school climate and a prosperous learning environment in our schools, and to contribute to the goal of raising quality citizens who respect the lives of others, which is one of our schools' missions. To reach our goals, we decided to create our project of European Schools Fight Against Bullying. Within the scope of our project, which is planned to start on 01/10/2020 and last for 24 months, 2 teachers and 4 students from each school determined by the selection criteria, will join the mobilities held in 5 different European countries. In total, 10 teachers and 20 students will join the mobilities actively and travel to other countries. Firstly, our participants will carry the experiences, knowledge and new methods and techniques they have learned in other countries to our institutions, they will then share this with the whole student body and staff of the school when they turn back. Then they will also share them with the institutions that have similar problems in our provinces. In case of acceptance of our project, as the pre-mobility activities we can summarize them as to announce the acceptance of our project, to identify the participants before mobilities in a fair and transparent way, to sign a contract with the participants, to give the language course to the participants, to purchase airplane tickets, to determine the place of accommodation and to make the necessary reservations, to inform the guests about the destination and to prepare for the mobility in high level of motivation. In the scope of during- mobility activities, in brief, the program consists of travel, accommodation in hotels, 5-day training and cultural activities to be provided to us by the hosting country, receipt of certificates and return. In the context of post-mobility activities, in summary, there are some activities like sharing of experiences gained through seminars in our institution and other institutions in our province, distribution of educational materials such as brochures, booklets, pens, calendars and training CDs, dissemination activities in the newspapers and web sites through press institutions, activities such as comparison with pre-mobility situations by applying the final test and writing the final report. The objectives of our project are;- to reduce peer bullying problems our schools by at least 10%- to create a positive school climate and prosperous learning environment in our schools- to raise citizens who respect the rights of others and make empathy a way and an understanding of life- to integrate new methods and techniques in Europe into our institutions' curriculum and strategy- to reduce early school dropout due to peer violence and to contribute to the goal of reducing early school drop-out below 10%, one of the 2020 European educational goals- to contribute to the development of our teachers on their way to becoming 21st century teachers and to increase European citizenship awareness- to improve the language skills of our staff and give them the opportunity to use languages in real lifeThe expected results and long-term benefits of our project are;- In our schools, the problems caused by peer bullying will be minimized and thanks to it, the training provided in a positive atmosphere free of problems, education and training will be conducted more efficiently.- As we move away from violence, our students who come together in an environment where tolerance, justice and respect increase, will come to school and return to their homes happily, thus we will prevent absenteeism, encourage continuity and reduce early school dropout.- Through this project, we will contribute to raising respectful and harmonious individuals.- With the contribution of this project, we will raise new generations with high creative thinking and problem solving skills.- Entrepreneurial spirit of our staff and students will develop.

In addition, through the project activities, we wish to instill in pupils principal democratic values such as opportunity, respect, resilience, correspondence, solidarity. In spite of the fact that in a few nations ""Democracy and active citizenship"" is a subject which is taught at schools, thiw isn't the case within the 5 partner countries. This is the reason why Erasmus+ subsidizing is going to offer us the opportunity to work together and collaborate so as to implement activities that could later be included in a discretionary educational course for our future students. GOALS1. to enhance pupils’ mindfulness of democatic values and means nationwide and within European settings (minimum 70% of pupils)2. to advance pupils’ consciousness of social distinctions as a source of affluence nationwide and in the European diversity system (evaluated through coordinated monitoring of pupils, conversations)3. to develop pupils’ critical thinking, problem solving and contentious discourse aptitudes4. to form the ground for participation of colleges with NGOs within the local society (minimum 5 school-NGO communions)5. to fortify the relation between colleges and national agencies (included within the dissemination of primary outcome)6. to enhance pupils’ communicative skills in English (B1 level of competency)7. to empower the forming of a modern discretionary educational module in order to tutor Democracy and Being Citizen within the partner institutionsNUMBER AND PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTSC1-C4 – 96 pupils chosen from the target team of pupils aged 11-14, with various backgrounds, some with learning challenges, others from poor or dismembered families, guided by 2 instructors/exchangeC5 – 12 instructors – 1 coordinator and two syllabus specialists from the project groupACTIONS 4 pupil exchanges (C1-C4) and one joint-personnel training event (C5):C1 – Individuality (personal, nationwide and European) and democracy C2 – Democracy and political life. Choice-creating mechanisms. Elections and power of individuals C3 – Democracy and people’s involvement. Civil societyC4 – Searching for human rights – Making justice work. Productive discussionsC5 – Improvement of modern syllabus on Democracy and being an active citizen for sustainabilityMETHODOLOGYAt the beginning of the project, every institution chooses the members from the intended team of students aged 11-14, depending on their expressed interest, motivation in the topic and level of English competence (A2). They become the working team for the whole project and perform the activities either specifically, through support within the exchanges, or in a roundabout way.During the exchanges, members participate in workshops, do group work, carry out research on the particular subject in order to get data from distinctive sources, form opinions and draw conclusions. Following this first stage, they are involved in making works of art, blurbs, draws, recordings, campaign recordings and mottos, flashmobs, to demonstrate their creativity.RESULTS Through applying the planned activities, we expect to get these results: lesson plans and test exercises, workshop materials and presentations, students’ inquiries, blurbs and other craftsmanship delivered by pupils, recordings, school blogs, bulletins, drama presentations, shows, recorded flashmobs, e-brochures, certificates of participation, recorded talks, Europass portability reports, ultimate outcome– modern syllabus on Democracy and Being Citizen.IMPACTOne of the aims of the project is to develop the students' sense of participation, to incorporate them into the life of the society and to support its improvement within the medium and long period. In this regard, the project is going to lead to a closer relation between the school and the local society, with local NGOs that we are going to have common activities with in the future. The schools will acquire a more dynamic role within local society.Furthermore, the partner schools are going to develop their curricular suggestion with the innovative proposal of the syllabus on ""Democracy and Being an active Citizen"" which is hopefully going to be utilized within the future years. This kind of practice would distinguish these schools from other schools and eventually convince the latter to utilize it. Since our pupils and instructors have, as of now, profited from the project, we aspire to inspire other schools as well."
