Such as presentation skills, cross-cultural communication, public speaking, and inter-cultural communication- to encourage students to use ICT to increase the impact and reach of their communications. The project was designed to incorporate the following four sub-stages:- Verbal & Non-verbal Communication- Barriers to Communication- Visual Communication- Digital Communication. These sub-stages will help us produce the following concrete results:- questionnaires- Erasmus+ corners- logo of the project- presentations of the project partners- 1 silent theatre play- 1 e-booklet- 5 Time Capsule Messages Boxes- 5 presentations “Communicating for Understanding”- 1 common song- 1 common calendar- 1 exhibition “Create to Communicate”- 5 digital stories “My country’s contribution to the European cultural heritage”- 1 travel manual- 2 webpages for the project- promotional materials such as flyers and bookmarks- A DVD of the projectThe project will run for two school years and there will be one short-term joint staff training event in the PL and four short-term exchanges of groups of pupils in ES, RO, FI and TR.The project will involve students between the ages of 15 and 19 years, teachers, the local community, stakeholders and the local media.A total number of 250 students, 50 students per school, will be directly involved in the project, attending activities organised at a local level, from which 150 students (30 students per school) will attend the international meetings along with 40 teachers (8 teachers per school).Students will participate in a variety of team building activities such as city games, blindfolded games and problem-solving tasks which will help participants to realize how they currently express themselves and the importance of accuracy and clarity when communicating. This direct interaction with fellow EU students along with the production of presentations, group activities, artistic moments (prepared for the official openings), and intercultural activities will help participants to understand more fully how people communicate differently in other EU schools. All students communication skills will be enhanced as they will be given the opportunity to exchange personal and cultural experiences, develop their presentation skills, become more competent and confident whilst public speaking and develop both cross and inter- cultural communication skills. We cannot ignore the long-term benefits of this partnership on the development of our schools. It should be mentioned that the school curricula will be more international for all schools and all generations of students to follow, the quality of the educational process will be enhanced, the schools individual development plans will be advanced and the image of all schools as forward thinking international institutions will be improved at a local, regional and national level. Cooperation between five EU countries will contribute to the appreciation of each other’s national values and the educational importance of promoting the EU’s strong cultural heritage."

We are now aware that we are living on an ecological deficit with the rest of the world, importing almost 4 times more materials than we have exported. As the European Sustainable Development Strategy points out, a change in paradigm is necessary. The change needs to go beyond the current goal of EU waste policy of becoming a Recycling Society; it needs to embrace the reduction of material and energy use in order to turn it into a Zero Waste Society. One of the main focus areas of the ""Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials Challenge"" in Horizon 2020 is waste. There is a Europe wide plea that the waste generated in one industry becomes a secondary raw material for another industry. This transition will generate growth and jobs, while contributing to environmental protection and reducing Europe's dependency on raw material imports. As educators, we believe that the younger generation need to be fully embracing this concept in order to preserve our raw materials and - ultimately - our planet. Our objective is to develop materials for use in primary, secondary and upper secondary schools following extensive and detailed teacher training. The teaching materials will be a valuable resource to aid schools around Europe to learn to reuse, repurpose, reduce and recycle waste items where possible and sell them on in the marketplace. This will require entrepreneurship skills, marketing skills, repairing and manufacturing basic skills. The materials will be supported by a series of short films created for and designed by experts, teachers and the wider community. These films will be used as part of the resources developed during the life of this project. Materials prepared as part of this exciting project will be available throughout to widen participation in all regions. The project needs to work within different countries in order to find a cross reference and collective European approach. We are all both victims and perpetrators of the mounting waste problem we have in Europe. We seek, thorugh this project, to reframe our attitudes to waste products, by looking at where we can reuse items, repair them or redesign them and make something else."

During the project time of three years we completed predefined tasks and six times we had LTTA in each countries to continue our cooperation within tasks. Every time at least two teachers and six students travelled from each school. So - 40 all together per LTTA.Theme of the first project year was movement.Autumn 2016We started our work with skype conferences in order to assure all necessary preparations will and had been made. Same time we started measuring our youngster with polar activity meters which motivated them to move more and to pay attention to healthy habits. Unfortunately we lost many of the meters as European post offices lost them while we sent them to other countries. Fortunately really many of our students were able to use them before that.Same time during Autumn 2016 our coworker in University of East Finland implemented inquiry about healthy habits in each partner schools. Handling of this research is still between as University work is often bit slow. Dissemination of our work is partly made with help of university as soon their work will be ready.Spring 2017First LTTA was supposed to be held in Bitonto, Italy, 8.-14.1. 2017. However - one day before the scheduled travel day Activity was cancelled because heavy snow storm in South Italy. Only Finnish team travelled but stopped in Rome due Force Major situation (They would have lost all ticket moneys anyway. Some other teams lost also their moneys but decided not to travel at all.).So – first big LTTA was in Zawiercie, Poland, 14.-20.5.2017. Before that we researched physical activity statistics, how to motivate youngters to move more, sport surroundings and physical education in each country. Moreover partners studied for example about strength endurance, Maximum strength, Speed, Mobility etc. During the LTTA2 in Zawiercie we had a city walk, get to know school, project coordinating meetings, different kind of sports, Sightseeing Crakow and Katowice, rock climbing etc. After every LTTAs we wrote newspaper articles about our project and current LTTA. Moreover we arranged school conferences for whole schools to tell others about the project.Theme of the second project year was nutrition.Autumn 2017 (5.-11.11.)During LTTA3 in Madrid, Spain we had project coordinating meetings, lectures about health, sports, town walks, coocing with real chef etc. Before the LTTA we found out about traditional foods in Finland.During LTTA we also started to do our healthy recipes book.Spring 2018 (8.-14.4.)During LTT4 in Olomouc, Czech Republic we had project meetings and work shops to continue our work and finish the Healthy Cook book. Moreover we had city tours, cooking healthy dishes, lecture about healthy lifestyle, rafting, sport etc. Before the LTTA we found out about healthy and typical meals in Finland.Autumn 2018Finally we were able to implement also LTTA1 all together 11.-17.2018 in Bitonto, Italy. Before journey we found out about popular sports, PE, fan action and sport men and women in each country.During the LTTA we presented our work same way as also during previous LTTA’s, had nature walk, project meetings, had city visits, orienteering etc.Spring 2019During LTTA5 in Suonenjoki, Finland (12.-20.1.) we started our work with new health curriculum work which was finished during last LTTA in Germany. We also worked with PE idea bank where we worked with different kind of mobile apps. Before the LTTA we found out about ideas for PE idea bank, ideas for new healthy curriculum, campaigns about reducing consumption of alcohol etc, in each country and youth system in each partner country.During LTTA6 (7.-13.4.) in Lemgo, Germany we deepened our understanding in school physical education and healthy eating during school days. We also collected all our work done so far and showed it to each others. Before the trip we prepared everything. We also concentrated to future aspects of healthy diets, decreasing consumption of alcohol and other drugs, family life, etc.We had also coordinator meetings, city visits, sport etc.Schedules of LTTA’s more in detailes are in files attached.
