The COLISEE project aims at enhancing the employability of Master’s level graduates by adapting Higher Education courses to the needs of businesses. It involves the extensive use of digital infrastructures as well as identifying new tools intended for teachers and students. The primary goal of the project is to adapt to the job market by focusing on three sets of competences (linguistic, intercultural and entrepreneurial) while improving at the same time the quality of higher education courses through the use of ICT. The project also aims at setting up a joint Master’s degree, the COLISEE Master named “Plurilingualism and corporate culture”.With these goals in mind, ten partners (9 universities and 1 association) have gathered to bring together complementary skills and share the good practices existing within six European countries (France, Italy, England, Sweden, Spain and Greece). For each of the partners involved, participating in the project meant adapting digital infrastructures and training university staff in their use. Results and impacts achieved (2015-2017):- the elaboration of a set of digital resources;- the writing of a good practice guide aimed at teachers;- the training of 180 trainers in the use of new digital technology;- the creation of a joint Master named “Plurilingualism and corporate culture” (it should be incorporated into the partners’ training offer once the accreditation process is complete)The training sessions organized for university trainers within the framework of the project and the elaboration of digital resources should contribute to the long-term improvement of the quality of university courses and make them more in line with businesses’ needs.

The Master’s project “Water Resources and Environmental Risks in African Cities”, also known as MAREMA aims to improve the quality of higher education to better address technical and scientific challenges for water resources management and environmental risks in large African cities. MAREMA project is based on existing degrees in the partner universities. They will be gradually rearranged to create a common degree between Benin, Cameroon and Ivory Coast. This new degree is built on the analysis of the labour market needs and aims to reach this specific positioning. Innovative pedagogical and scientific approaches are developed to ensure the quality of the Master’s degree. It especially encompasses new scientific tools, multi-disciplinary approach, problem-solving based learning, research training and development of MOOC. These tools are co-developed by the partner universities’ pedagogical teams with specific trainings taking place before implementing the innovative tools in the degree.MAREMA training program is deeply embedded in its socio-professional environment thanks to the large number of partners already involved in the project. The proposed strategy aims to guarantee the participation of future employers in the elaboration of the training template, its implementation (teachings, participation in field activities) and its evaluation that ensures its embedding. The MAREMA project strengthens the capacities of partner universities to collaborate and to align themselves with higher education European standards. It also guarantees a high level of student employment. The project strengthens the capacities of teaching staffs involved. It reinforces the partners’ ability to design and lead sustainable development (creation of centers of excellence in terms of expertise and research in this field).

EQuAM-T project aims to strengthen the management of quality assurance in higher education in Tunisia. It will capitalize on existing capacities at the national and local levels to transform dispersed components and capacities into a system with interactions and capacities allowing to evolve from few dispersed initiatives, taken on a small scale and weakly institutionalized, towards recurrent actions, regular and coordinated on a large scale, with caparable level of quality and benefiting from strong systemic capacities and performances at the national level.Tunisia will have an agency capable of carrying out recurrent and regular assessments in all universities and higher education institutions and capable of carrying out continuous work, both at institutional and programmatic level. EQuAM-T will accelerate operationalization and strengthen the QA system in place. On the other hand, the toolbox, guidelines, benchmarks and code of practice that will be developed during EQuAM-T project will continue to serve as the basis for a rapidly evolving Tunisian QA system, adaptable to the different contexts of each university. EQuAM-T will make concrete the full integration of external QA and internal QA processes and a clear definition of the role and responsibilities of the actors. Thanks to the EQuAM-T project, internal committees for quality in universities will be operationalized and upgraded to European standards. Certifyng online training for initiation or development of QA actors will be possible in three languages. The accreditation of QA experts in Tunisie, but also at the MENA region, will also be possible within the framework of courses certified by the EQuAM-T consortium and in particular quality agencies including the Tunisian agency IEAQA and the Spanish agency ANECA.
