As identified by both COSME and Horizon programs, in Europe, and more specifically geographic area covered by EUNORS, SMEs face a number of internal and external constraints, particularly “lack of financial resources” and “inability to manage innovation processes efficiently and effectively”. To tackle these constraints, EUNROS will focus on providing customized EIMC expert support to SMEs in our target area, to a predefined number of beneficiaries with high potential for growth and internationalization. Additionally, EUNORS will work with SMEs in order to support them in the process of applying for SME Instrument (under H2020 Programme).

The project addresses common regional and also country specific issues facing both youth and adults in the VET sector contexts as per the ETF assessments reports (Turin process reports) from 2020 and 2021. In doing so, the VETpreneur project mainstreams the use of EntreComp framework (entrepreneurship as a key competence) in formal and non-formal VET education and training in the Western Balkans. In formal VET education, it will be mainstreamed through student company program and development of innovative problem-based entrepreneurial lab’s, creation of toolkit and ToT training. In non-formal education and training, it will be promoted throughout VET centres for adults, through the networking events, and the creation of recognition tool.

The project aims at targeting the existing gap between HE outcomes and labour market demands by: •Addressing the challenges of HEIs in the field of smart specialisation and the related innovation & entrepreneurship competence development with the introduction of new smart specialisation-related learning modules and innovative teaching approaches into HEIs’ curricula, including online teaching, cross-curricular learning, and virtual mobility. •Supporting the professional development of HEIs academic staff in the field of innovation & entrepreneurship competence development for the requirements of smart specialisation along with hybrid & online teaching practices.•Setting up 7 SMART Innovation Centres at HEIs and integrating them into the existing HEI structure. •Facilitating sustainable cooperation between HEIs and the business sector through the SMART Knowledge Exchange Network.•Encouraging student and staff work placements and (virtual) mobility. During the project, 84 staff will be trained in the project topics, 14 of them will work in the newly established innovation centres along with 21 trained students from partner HEIs. The SMART Knowledge Exchange Network will offer ample opportunities for networking, training & counselling opportunities to multiple stakeholders of the regional innovation ecosystem. In addition, 210 ambassadors of smart specialisation will be trained, and 250+ new stakeholders will be reached through the Network undertakings during the project implementation, while SMART Innovation Centres aim at being fully operational and sustainable also after the project completion by offering counselling&training services in the smart specialisation area, especially to the business sector.

The main aim of the project is: Enhanced growth and profitability of 16 SMEs in RS through provision of specialized innovation support services by EUNORS Network partners. Specific objectives: - Enhanced innovation management capacity of 15 companies within 12 months in Republic of Srpska. - Provide key account management support for 1 successful applicants of SME Instrument As identified by both COSME and Horizon programs, in Europe, and more specifically geographic area covered by EUNORS, SMEs face a number of internal and external constraints, particularly “lack of financial resources” and “inability to manage innovation processes efficiently and effectively”. To tackle these constraints, EUNROS will focus on providing customized EIMC expert support to SMEs in our target area, to a predefined number of beneficiaries with high potential for growth and internationalization. Minimum number of service packages will be 16, from which 15 Enhancing innovation management capacity (EIMC) and 1 Key Account Management (KAM) package for beneficiaries of SME Instrument, FTI and FET-OPEN during 2019.
