"The aim of the project was the training and exchange of experiences of workers who deal with the everyday rehabilitation of persons with intellectual or/and psychosocial disability with high support needs living in residential care homes, residential centres and supported housing. The primary target group of the project was formed by the social care workers, professionals and leaders who carry out the everyday rehabilitation. Through study tours, partner meetings and short-term trainings we made available good practices based on the most up-to-date pedagogical and communication methodology as well as many years of experiential knowledge. The training was provided by professionals and institutions which are also at the forefront in this field at European level. Methodology of the study tour was practice learning at institutions with possibility of professional sparring and hands-on learning. Methodology of the training was lectures and questions, group work, professional supervision, sparring and coaching, case studies. All in all 33 persons from 6 partner organizations participated in the project activities. When selecting the Hungarian partners the primarily factor was the presence of different target groups of people with high support needs in their work. The three partner organizations /institutions are dealing with people with profound, multiple disabilities and people with psychosocial disabilities who are dangerous to society. The Romanian partner has a 25 years’ experience and achieved significant success in the social inclusion of people with disabilities. The Danish partners delegated professionals to the cooperation who have outstanding professional skills at European level regarding both target groups. Deinstitutionalization (DI) took place 30 years ago in Denmark very drastically: persons belonging to all target groups living in institutions were moved to small residential care homes, and were under the supervision and support of pedagogical staff. Over the past decades tremendous valuable experiences have been made in relation to how the target groups’ life has changed and which kind of housing and support has been proved the best for them. These experiences show that there are people with high support needs who cannot follow the standard protocols after leaving the institution. Forms of housing and support suitable for the majority of the affected cannot be applied, or only with certain changes and there are also certain concerns about their integration into the community. If we want to support the process of deinstitutionalization and help these institutions, it is worth studying the Danish experiences, the forms of housing, services, methods and support Denmark provides in order to maximize the social inclusion of people with high support needs. As a result participants could learn practical methodological techniques in relation to the work with people with high support needs living in residential care homes and supported housing and who are the greatest challenge to first line workers and professionals. Besides these techniques they could also learn good practices regarding the support and housing of these people. Both these techniques and good practices gave immediately usable knowledge for partner institutions taking part in deinstitutionalization, for newly established residential care homes and institutions providing supported housing and for institutions providing basic health care and day-care service. As there are two institutions among the participants that regularly serve as place of practice for future professionals, therefore the multiplier effect of the practical knowledge and experience gained within the framework of the project is granted. One of the best ways of learning is to get acquainted with ""good practices"" as we can acquire new professional knowledge and learn new methods. Theory becomes „tangible"", we can get answers to our uncertainties and questions. Our horizons are broadening, we get feedback on our activities during the collaboration, we can have a greater ""insight"" into our own work with the help of an external professional and judge it more realistically. With the help of these good practices - together with the professionals - we could reinterpret our daily work and define our goals. This renewal and the expansion of possibilities regarding the solutions in everyday life will increase the quality of life of the residents, which was and still is the most important goal of our work. New practical answers to questions and challenges that are frequently arise in professional debates regarding the implementation of deinstitutionalization and about people with high support needs can provide a satisfactory solution for all who are concerned in European countries, including professionals, institutions, the local service providers, as well as the interest organizations."

<< Background >>Social inclusion lies at the very base of the society, which needs to be encouraged and promoted in order include disadvantaged and underrepresented users such as Alzheimer's patients. In 2016, WHO and ADI (Alzheimer's Disease International) Report, dementia was defined as 'a global public health priority'. Recently, it has been estimated that there are around 46 million people in the world suffering from dementia, 50-60% of whom have Alzheimer's disease. Due to an ageing population, the number of cases will triple in the next 30 years and by 2050 one in 85 people worldwide will be affected, for a total of 130 million people. Therefore, it is evident that there is a need to increase and expand the training of professionals who already work with Alzheimer's patients through innovative practices, by creating a network and a team of experts. The primary objective is to improve the quality of life of people with dementia and their caregivers, to promote respect for their dignity, to reduce the negative impact on communities and states by raising awareness and making dementia a priority. The ageing of the population implies an increase in leisure time for a growing segment of the population and requires specific dedicated services. Embracing the concept of lifelong learning, there is a need to design and promote activities and initiatives involving actors outside the health and social service. The promotion of such activities demonstrates the importance of the concept of lifelong learning because by stimulating the elderly to learn and to confront themselves with others, we may solve the problem of loneliness, combining culture and sharing.Seniors are more and more recognised as a social resource and not only as a “delicate” group with complex needs. This awareness is also gaining importance in the medical-health field where there is a shift from a practice aimed at 'producing healing' to that of 'caring', that is, taking care of the patient. And it is from here that the GentleCare model (Moyra Jones) was developed: it starts from the premise of how a person with dementia undergoes a modification in their abilities to interact with reality. It will then be useful to build a 'prosthesis' around them to compensate and help them maintain their autonomy for as long as possible and to minimise stressful situations that cause agitation, anxiety and aggression.AIDA stands as a practice in response to these needs and as a means to help this category to react in the post-Covid-19 society and to get out of the state of loneliness that the pandemic has caused. It is well documented that culture nourishes and heals the fragile. The world of culture, the world of health and the world of the digital world must develop an alliance aimed at re-giving hope to the treatment centres, considering homes as refuges and squares as places of exchange; the body and soul of each person is to be seen as a starting point and not as an unbearable burden.<< Objectives >>The project starts from the analysis of existing practices, the study of the consortium's experiences and the need to develop a unique working methodology, able to make society more friendly and improve the living conditions of people with Alzheimer's and their caregivers. The overall objective is to create a new approach for people with Alzheimer's in order to improve their quality of life and that of their caregivers, their social relationships, their environment and the services they receive.Specific objectives:- exchange of good practices and experiences;- development of a new methodology and working tools;- creation of the AIDA space in the HUBS platform.Results:- at least 21 learning scenarios to be created on the basis of good practices and experiences;- at least 21 professionals from the social, health, arts, culture and digital fields to be trained in the AIDA Methodology;- 6 territorial teams that will pilot the Methodology at local level;- 12 experimentation paths of the Methodology activated in the 6 countries of the consortium;- Report containing analysis and study of the results obtained;- 1 methodology developed and validated;- Creation of an international network of experts;- Contribution to the creation of a more friendly and accessible society.<< Implementation >>The work plan is based on the idea of creating a triangulated exchange between the partners from the three project areas; they will work together to:- promote and disseminate activities at local and national level; - co-create the LTTA programmes and Project Results, based on the different experiences and needs emerging from the analysis of the Alzheimer's sector scenario;- co-produce the learning-scenarios, the basis from which to organise and conduct local activities, and then the case-studies;- organise and promote local involvement activities in the territories of reference - produce material for the website and platform. The project starts from the analysis of existing practices, the study of the consortium's experiences and the need to develop a unique working methodology, allowing the creation of a more friendly society and improving the living conditions of people with Alzheimer's and their caregivers.Phase 1: Jan/Oct 2022: Launching the project and the methodology-Feb TPM1Meeting of partners to discuss general arrangements for project implementation, tasks, common rules.LTTA1 organisation (C1).Meeting of trainers to set up and organise C1.Partners should:Present a description of the state of the Alzheimer situation in their territory and examples of the good practices they have experienced.Present associated partners and motivate their choice.Discuss website management.Discuss methodology and criteria used in the collection of good practices and analysis phase.-Feb/MarLocal events for the public launch of the project: each partner participates in events in its area.Development of the website.- Apr: LTTA1 (C1)- May/JuneMethodology development- Jun/OctDevelopment of learning scenariosProduction of training toolkit-OctTPM2LTTA2 (C2)Phase 2: Nov '22/Dec '23 PILOTING METHODOLOGY- Nov/Dec- Jan/Jul 23Local activities - Jan/NovCollection of case studies- Oct/DecReport on monitoring activities and resultsPhase 3: Aug '22/Dec '23 AIDA DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT DEVELOPMENT ON HUBS [parallel to 2nd phase]- Aug/NovTechnical development of the AIDA environment on the HUBS platform- Nov '22/Jun '23Uploading the learning scenarios and the Training Toolkit on the website and HUBS- Mar TPM3- Jun/SepDevelopment/Adaptation of case studies in HUBS- Set/OctUploading digital case studies- Nov TPM4- Oct/DecOfficial launch of AIDA HUBS and digital case study tourDissemination<< Results >>There are examples of networks created to improve the conditions of this fragile category, but there is no trace of the existence of a triangulation that foresees the co-creation and co-participation of the social-health, artistic-cultural and digital spheres to conceive and pilot a cross-sectoral Methodology: this is the primary objective of AIDA. The project will allow to join these fields in a triangulation of interdisciplinary skills; AIDA invests and focuses on the training of professionals of the three sectors, on the creation of learning scenarios and case-studies that will then have a direct effect on patients and their caregivers. The project proposes to start from the exchange of multidisciplinary, innovative and effective practices coming from the experiences already consolidated by the partners, in order to create a European multidisciplinary team able to create the AIDA methodology and recognise it as a non-pharmacological therapy.Specifically, the tangible results will be:- AIDA methodology (Project Result 1);- Materials and guidelines for the 2 training meetings (LTTA)- Validation of the Project Results through the Territorial Experimentation in each country and the consequent creation of products and data (Project Result 2);- Project platform on Open-Source HUBS by Mozilla (Project Result 3);- Project website;- 2 Scientific articles;- Production of digital and printed materials for communication and dissemination;- At least 21 learning scenarios;- At least 14 case studies;- At least 21 trained professionals;- AIDA methodology;- 1 Training Toolkit;Non-tangible results:- At least 84 (14*6) Alzheimer's patients and family members/caregivers involved in territorial pilots/projects based on the developed and shared learning scenarios;- Improvement of the socio-health, artistic-cultural and digital skills of the different target groups;- Improvement of the well-being of people with Alzheimer's and their families/caregivers;- Increased awareness of the issue in civil society;- European network composed of professionals trained in the topics, methodologies and tools of the areas of interest of the project.

SOILTRIBES main goal is to pave the way towards inspiring “back to Earth” narratives translated in new formats of knowing, feeling, and behaving in regard to soil, its importance and challenges, and its future, which is deeply connected with ours. Approximately 60-70% of EU soils are unhealthy and the soil degradation costs the EU several tens of billion euros per year. The EU Mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’ aims to invert this scenario having designed an ambitious plan where citizens and organisations are key. SOILTRIBES gathers 25 partners, from 11 countries from the different EU regions and designs a methodology that will contribute to the achievement of the ambitious EU plans by fostering soil literacy and connectivity, through the (i) establishment, activation, and empowerment of a multi-actor network (+1000 members), 7 Soil Lab Activators, 7 Stewardship Assemblies; (ii) financial and scale-up support scheme (+1,7M€ FSTP) to nearly 80 projects/ teams recognising existing solutions or the development of new innovative and creative solutions for an enhanced soil literacy; (iii) design of +10 resources, tools and manuals for long-term use by private/public organisations willing to engage with citizens to increase soil literacy; (iv) and program, curation and implementation of nearly 200 events for wide dissemination, communication and pollination of soil topics (workshops, soilathons, soilblitz, creative exhibition, festivals). Framed by an engaging narrative, the “Tribes” will share the same commitment and will embark on a powerful journey of transition and transformation, bolstered by the nexus of science, technology, arts, and society.

Non-for-profit Association with a wide experience with disadvantaged groups (including immigrants from Syria).Euro-Net (Italy). Not-for-profit association specialised in the realisation of cartoons, electronic games, videos, apps, movies...Public Health Institute of Varaždin County (Croatia).Context/ background: Partners in this project educate adults on healthy preventive measures. They feel parents lack parenting and social skills, they don't use digital media in an effective and safe way, they carry out too sedentary lives and do not spend enough time with their children. Too, educators lack enough tools and methodologies to reach parents and encourage them to carry out healthier lifestyles.Project objectives: Through this project, partners with different backgrounds and experiences have collaborated to develop innovative ICT tools and methodologies for adults’ educators to reach parents, providing them parenting skills, making them aware of the importance of carrying out healthier lifestyles and offering them activities and tools to achieve these objectives. During the whole project special attention has been paid to social inclusion in order to reach people with fewer opportunities.Target groups: The main target has been adult educators to which partners made available the intellectual outputs developed through the project. Ultimate beneficiaries are families, carrying out healthier lifestyles (especially those with children from 0 to 18 years old).Project methodology:The partnership has developed two intellectual outputs: -Grow Together the game: devoted to adults and children, through which families perform offline tasks and at the same time create healthy media habits, control the amount of digital media in our lives and spread awareness about healthy lifestyles, and good parenting.-Grow Together: an app aimed at adult educators to give them a modern tool in order to reach families so that they can get inspired to start carrying out healthier lifestyles. This app serves as a virtual parents’ school and has an agenda of healthy activities to do in your community. To get powerful tools, acceptable by citizens and find out the best way to manage them, partners have worked on different topics which were treated in the transnational meetings:1. Kick-off meeting in Ceutí (Spain)2. Communication/ working tools in Potenza (Italy).3. Social skills in Bucharest (Romania).4. Healthy Communities in Varaždin (Croatia).5. Media literacy in Viborg (Denmark).6. Development of the Guide for Educators in Iława (Poland)Each partner organising each topic led the work during that semester. Topics were distributed according to each partner expertise. Social inclusion was treated in a transversal way in every step of the project, a work led by Iskenderun Youth and Education AssociationResults and impacts: Very powerful tools and materials for educators addressing parents and families on health issues have been created: the app and e-game Grow Together, a Guide for Adult Educators with partners’ best practices explaining SPAHCO methodology and how to adapt it to other territories, a leaflet on Healthy Media Habits, a Toolkit for the Immigrant, the story to promote healthy eating habits “How Gulliver got ill in the land of Lilliputans”.The great advantage of these tools is that they have been tested in 7 different countries, evaluated and improved. All intellectual outputs are totally transferable to other territories and available in 8 languages (English, Spanish, Danish, Romanian, Polish, Turkish, Italian and Croatian). This project has had a great impact on participants, organisations, adult educators and families, helping them to carry healthier lifestyles.Sustainability of this project is assured since these tools will be used in partners' organisations day to day work.
