The activities in the project are designed to improve resilience of Jordanian and Palestinian youth by sustainably implementing the EntreComp framework in youth work organisations. We will do so by raising the capacity of two strategic youth organisations in Palestine (Sharek Youth Forum) and Jordan (Jordan River Foundation). In these regions we work with youth from severely disadvantaged areas in the Jordan Valley and the Southern West Bank areas. The European Entrepreneurship Competence framework (EntreComp) is a unique tool to train resilience, initiative and collaboration skills and for anyone who wants to help others develop their potential to make a positive impact. In the project, we are going to make youth workers in Jordan and Palestine aware of the possibilities of EntreComp in a way that they can utilize it for the youth target groups they are working with. The project is focussed on strengthening youth workers in their capacity to work with EntreComp and to fully implement the Arab EntreComp community among the partners and beyond. During the project 32 Youth workers are selected as master trainers and trained to train youth workers throughout Palestine and Jordan in working with the Arab EntreComp. We will make entrepreneurial training more attractive and relevant for youth by providing innovative digital training methods and updating of current training material. In total, we aim to train 80 youth in EntreComp via the interactive VR scenario’s. The result will be that the Arabic EntreComp is utilized, training material is further developed for wider use in MENA region and the relationship between youth stakeholders in the focus area is strengthened.

With this proposal, we organize and implement sustainable capacity building activities and cooperation among three Ethiopian TVET colleges in the region of Addis Ababa (Oromia), Dire Dawe (Afar), and Bahir Dar (Amhara) in Ethiopia. The general objective is to create an inclusive smooth transition from TVET to a career, overcoming the skills mismatch and making TVET more inclusive and attractive for all, leading to less dropouts. Specific objectives:•Reinforce the link between private sector and TVET•Capacity building in teaching and training materials•Use of innovative digital educational approaches•Improve job perspectives for allGender inclusion, improvement of internships and a sustainable cooperation are cross cutting objectives throughout the entire project. In order to realize the objectives, 60 private sector companies will be actively involved in 6 round table sessions (2 sessions at each training location). The outcomes of the round table session are the input for the development of a EntreComp unit. This unit will be taught and tested via realistic Virtual Reality environments. Teachers will be trained via 6 learning carrousel sessions, organized at every TVET location (2 sessions at each TVET location) on the topics of career guidance, entrepreneurship, guidance of students, gender inclusion, pedagogical techniques and incubation. The TVET colleges develop an action plan for gender inclusion and sustainable cooperation with the TVET colleges and private sector. The career guidance and incubation centres will be strengthened in a way that students can prepare themselves in the best way for their career.

The project will develop the necessary knowledge and prepare for the possibilities that potentially will arise from the deployment of CCAM, and will aim to increase knowledge regarding the necessary skills required for CCAM deployment. CCAM-ERAS will take advantage of the possibilities arising from CCAM deployment, by envisioning a future whereby CCAM can contribute towards a more attractive and inclusive labour market by providing solutions to ensure that the relevant skills are available and are able to be up scaled across the entire CCAM value chain. Mitigating the resulting effects of introduction of CCAM requires multi-sectoral knowledge and cooperation between what were previously separate sectors (transport, technology, education etc.) CCAM-ERAS will develop new approaches and solutions to anticipate and mitigate the impacts and rebound effects on potential job losses and job relocations due to the deployment of road based CCAM systems and services, as well as boost innovation capabilities through the availability and upscaling of CCAM-specific professional skills. Schemes and actions that can contribute to the specific labour market challenges will be developed, in relation to specific 'real world' use cases. CCAM-ERAS will also identify innovations and key innovators relating to CCAM deployment, particularly those relevant to the employment, socio-economic and skills effects Including various stakeholders in the project activities will be crucial in achieving credibility and support for the results of the project. The development of a roadmap to support the socio-economic transition to CCAM will contribute to the legacy of the project. CCAM-ERAS therefore offers a set of building blocks that pave the way for a smooth transition to CCAM deployment over the short, medium, and long term.
