One of the European Union’s most important goals is to enhance economic, social and territorial cohesion and the freedom of movement amongst its citizens and member states. The Alpine region as a home to different territories, cultures and nations embodies the European unity like few others with citizens, tourists, learners and workers alike enjoying the freedoms and benefits the EU offers. EUSALP (the European Union’s Strategy for the Alpine Region) already recognizes the special attention this area needs and the necessity for cooperation in various fields amongst the Alpine countries. A specific topic within that context that demands attention is the situation and education of professionals in the field of mountain leaders in the Alps. These professionals are educated in a local environment but often, because of the seasonal nature of their work, have to work across the whole Alpine region, many of them self-employed. They have to be able to constantly adapt to new challenges such as climate related issues, shifting touristic interests, local, national and transnational regulations, global economic developments and the increased desire for mobility within the region. Their respective training frameworks must reflect this reality in order to prepare and support the professionals adequately. To this end, 7 experienced Alpine providers of VET in the field of mountain guide training, under the leadership of CREPS PACA (FR) and with the support of relevant associated partners, have joined forces to form the HIKE! Alpine Mountain Leadership Forum for Future. HIKE! will serve as a platform for the partners to bring local training contents, practices and experiences to the Alpine / European level and to cooperate on developing together solutions for the topics addressed above. The goals of this partnership are: •Deepen cooperation, mutual understanding and knowledge of training contents (initial and Continuous Professional Development - CPD), problems, solutions, infrastructure and training methodology for the purpose of future joint optimisation and harmonisation of the training. •Greater visibility of the profession by bringing together key actors and creating transnational exchanges•The creation and establishment of a new Alpine network of trainers and stakeholders in the field of mountain leaders through joint activities and training •Serious examination of the situation of the profession in the light of current developments such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the collapse of tourism activities, the solution to which requires trans-European efforts and new approaches (e.g. accelerated digitalization) •Serious examination of other pressing transnational issues like environmental protection, climate change, sustainability and the development of joint approaches and sustainable practices for dealing with them •Increased mobility of learners, trainers and professionals through greater mutual recognition of content and certificates•Preparation of a guide containing good practices and learnings from the project, which will be made available free of charge and in four languages (English, French, Italian, German) to all interested actors and the public at the end of the project •the development of further joint strategic partnerships and projects based on the established working relationships for the purpose of a further harmonisation of training programs in the field of Mountain Leading in the Alpine region and widely at European level. Six transnational project meetings will be at the center of the effort to develop strong partnerships across the Alpine region. Each host organization will, together with experienced local and associated partners, present their own case and good practices and showcase their specific situation within their local context which will then be subsequently discussed by all attendees. This will allow the attending partner organisations to gain unique insights into the training standards, infrastructure and the differences and similarities faced by all the partners, exchange practices and share and confront ideas on a European level. This format will contribute to a collection of case studies and good practices and establish improved feedback loops from meeting to meeting, leading to a better mutual understanding and improved cooperation, allowing the partner organisations to move forward towards more aligned transnational training schemes and the publication of a guide of shared and thoroughly tested transnational good practices. The guide and the project results will be disseminated to a wide audience within the mountain leader and outdoor sports community via the extensive network of the project partners and associated partners and be incorporated in mountain leader training at the organisations on a daily basis, guaranteeing a lasting impact on the quality of mountain leader education and the mobility in the Alpine area.

"<< Background >>The project focuses on social inclusion of vulnerable young adults between the ages of 16 and 27 at a distance from the labor market and education. It is a follow-up to two projects; ""Move"" and ""Move Beyond"". This project should be the final piece of this trilogy, aimed at developing 21 century skills. The framework from which we want to design the project are Ludodidactic and Epimistic framing. We realised that in the MOVE BEYOND project we focus mainly on the content of the training using instruments and tools form Art Education and physical activities and on the role of the trainer from the point of view of constructivisme ( the learner in the centre) But what we left underexposed was to look at the learning behavior and learning processes of the participant. In other words no matter how well we make a training substantive and how we look at the role of the trainer as sender of the content, we are also dealing with the recipient of the content and what is needed to really touch the end user (recipient) to to bring him into a particular experience. Ludodidactics, designing education and learning behavior on the basis of game principles, was the answer to our question. The principles behind Ludodidactics do not focus on technology, but on people. Traditional education is often based on the content, the material. Ludodidactics is based on learning behavior and the learning experience of people. That is why it fits well with thinking in terms of learning outcomes. The l;udodidactics development program focuses on the application of new learning methods in both an online and an offline learning environment.Epimistic framing is an effective way of guiding the behavior of young people by giving a specific role. Addressing a student as an engineer will result in the student acting as a professional engineer towards the subject matter. A certain type of profession is associated with archetypal skills, knowledge and an identity that the student will imitate.<< Objectives >>The project result will strengthen the outputs of project ""Move Beyond"", but also existing processes within organizations where we focus in particular on the role of the trainer, supervisor, coach. The philosophy behind this approach is rooted in design thinking. Making a statement about the perspective from which you approach a problem and about the process you go through to go from problem to solution. Central to this is the user and in particular the user's experience (in the learning situations, both the trainer/teacher/coach and the learning user of the solution). Leading in this is the aesthetic of this experience. It is important to make trainers, teachers, educators aware how they can transfer content through tool mechanisms to rbe be able to really reach the (young adult) participants in their training, lessons, etc. To let them experience that instead of putting all their energy in the training, they should let the participants become an active user and as trainer, teacher, educator be more an observer than a transmitter of content.<< Implementation >>We will implement the basic principles of Ludodidactic, how to redesign existing trainings and create new trainings with re-integration, education, Art education and training institutions as an extra tool for trainers/educators/teachers to reach better their target group of young adults<< Results >>the product results will also be useful for other disciplines and otner target groups because the essence of the ludodidactics is focused on learning behavior and learning processes and this is applicable in a general way."

SENERGY NETS aims at demonstrating the technical and economic capability of multi-energy systems to decarbonize the heating and cooling, power and gas sectors through renewable energy sources produced locally as well as sector integration, by primarily focusing on promising infrastructure and business models. To do so, SENERGY-NETS will develop a set of tools and platforms (up to TRL7/8) aimed to optimise the planning of District Heating and Cooling as well as distribution grids with sector coupling consideration and allow the provision of flexibility services to Distribution and Transmission System Operators. These solutions will be implemented on three pilot sites located in Milan (IT), Ljubljana (SI) and Paris (FR) and their replicability will be tested in two additional real case studies presenting alternative climatic, economic and geographic conditions in Västerås (SW) and Cordoba (ES). The SENERGY NETS solutions will be adapted to the main stakeholders at the different phases of the projects development involving sector coupling: long term planning, design and simulation, operational planning, valorisation, evaluation and replication. The project will evaluate the benefits through a consolidated methodology developed to estimate the overall value created by sector integration, relying on the current economic, regulation and market rules and assess the impacts on the European power system. SENERGY NETS relies on a strong trans-disciplinary consortium involving 17 organisations located in 7 European countries, involving renowned experts from public authorities, infrastructure providers, research institutions, entrepreneurs and consumers associations. Altogether, they will provide the necessary knowledge, expertise and capacities to develop, demonstrate and evaluate developed tools and services enabling the integration of multi-energy systems to provide flexibility to the power system, and ultimately enable the decarbonisation of the energy system.
