Three are the specific objectives:1. Curricular development tailored to labour market requirements and enable to support the employability expectations of graduates by training them with up-to-date methodologies in the field of energy sustainable buildings. The new study programmes will be implemented in the UAUs with different training directions according to the local needs. MCs will start in the 3rd project year with the completion of the 1st academic year. The development process will be completed by updating of didactical laboratories and new teaching aids materials to publish jointly between UA and EU teachers. 2. Links university-enterprises: to develop a networking system among UAUs and stakeholders to remedy to the currently fragmented scientific background in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability and to the lack of distribution of knowledge, expertise, info and data.3. An ""EU - Ukraine Green Deal Network” will be officially established, to enhance in tangible and actual terms the leading role of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in policies related to Energy Efficient and Sustainable Buildings, keeping into due account both the requirements set by UN 2030 Agenda, with specific reference to SDGs 7, 10, and 11, and the priorities of the EU Green Deal. UKRENERGY will also spread and promote UA awareness related to the EU policies referred to Sustainable and Energy Efficient Buildings and to enhance the approach towards EU best practices.Main beneficiaries of the outputs to be produced will be (about): 120 UA Sr. teaching staff, 60 UA Jr. teachers and assistants, 200 final year students / new graduates and students to enrol to the new Master Courses."

The proposed framework introduces a “plug-n-play” Pred(scr)ictive and Proactive building energy management system (PP-BMS) installed locally at building level, at the Edge-Enable Proactiveness (EEP) device. The proposed PP-BMS is self-adapted, self-learned, -managed, -monitored, -healing and -optimized, requiring no (or minimum) installation costs and no maintenance. PP-BMS transform traditional reactive buildings to proactive ones, increasing their performance (both energy efficiency and occupants’ well-being), exploiting RES, storage, forecasts and energy tariffs. PRECEPT also targets to the development of a real-time digital representation of the intelligent proactive residential buildings by employing 6D BIM technology. Further to that, a set of novel indicators leveraging on the smart readiness rationale will be introduced for rating the Smart Proactiveness of buildings. The proposed indicators will enable the introduction of a reliable framework under which the comparative assessment of the level of smartness and proactiveness of buildings can be regulated and assessed. Also, PRECEPT approach will deliver advanced data visualizations, utilizing big-data and visual analytics techniques, which in conjunction with a social collaboration platform will engage stakeholders to exchange best-practices. Interaction with the grid will be supported in a secured (Hyperledger Fabric) manner through the decentralized EEP device, supporting the implementation of D/R strategies. To maximize its potential impact, PRECEPT demonstrates novel sustainable business models for rendering traditional reactive buildings to proactive buildings that go beyond the energy-related benefits and cost-optimal analysis but include occupants’ well-being, and other services. PRECEPT framework will be demonstrated in relevant environments in 5 use cases, including 250 apartments.

The EffectFact consists of 24 Partners: 9 Academic Institutions from the EU (UK, France, Germany, Italy, Poland), 6 Universities from the AC (Georgia, Israel, Norway and Ukraine); 8 highly innovative SMEs adopting completely different R&D strategies (UK, Switzerland, France, Slovenia, Israel, Slovakia); 1 Academic Partners from the TCs (China). All EffectFact goals align with the RISE Objectives, establishing a unique consortium to fill gaps in several scientific disciplines, impacting H2020 priorities and Horizon Europe missions. These problems could not be solved independently, requiring continuous feedback from analytic, applied and computational researchers from numerous disciplines. This diverse collaborative Network will forge interdisciplinary links within the EU, strengthen the access of EU academics and SME’s to international research, lead to tangible and impactful results, while building a strong base of robust, independent researchers capable of furthering the aims of EffectFact long into the future.

SEEDS is built upon the consortium's vast experience in developing, testing, and valorizing decarbonization solutions, supervising real-life demonstrations of building renovation and smartification, and deploying energy flexibility. SEEDS demonstrate replicable heat pump solutions integrated with renewable energy to decarbonize buildings' thermal demand. Addressing that every building is unique and requires tailored solutions to be cost-efficient and energy efficient, we develop scalable and generic design and operational optimization methodologies, deploy multiple proven heat pump technologies at scale, and optimally integrate them into the building and broader energy system. SEEDS demonstrates these (up to TRL6-8) in 6 pilot sites (incl. 1 replication site), providing real-world settings spread across the different climate zones and European construction markets. SEEDS is centered around three key themes: cost efficiency through optimization, system integration through holistic design and control, and replicability through configuration modularity and scalable building types. These are addressed in 7 focus areas: 1) Iterative design of the component and integrated system, 2) Secure and interoperable data platforms and IoT, 3) Integrated system optimization for energy efficiency and flexibility, 4) Deploying energy flexibility to enhance grid stability, 5) Replication strategies, exploitation, and business models, 6) Decision making support framework for replication, and 7) Dissemination, communication, and stakeholder outreach. Thanks to the 27 partners' wide-reached field of impact and networks, SEEDS is set out to boost the electrification of thermal demand in buildings.
