The curricular reform integrates the development of capacities in 3 main national and regional priorities in Georgia and Armenia: Geo-information technologies, cultural heritage preservation and documentation, and fostering tourism business and entrepreneurship.Specific goals of the project are: - To create interdisciplinary master specialities in GIT for cultural heritage and tourism, integrating marketing and entrepreneurship skills oriented to consolidate local industry, following the guidelines of the Bologna process.- To establish Geoinformation and Tourism Technology centres (GTTC) in partner countries devoted to train professionals in GIT applied to cultural heritage and tourism, documentation of architectural and historical monuments and to disseminate the history, culture and landscapes using modern geovisualization techniques.- To create three new GIS laboratories in Tourism Economics Departments and to update existing equipment in partner country universities.- To foster the continuous education in Higher Education institutions of current professionals by creating interdisciplinary training modules.- To re-train academic staff in GIT, tourism management and entrepreneurship.- To introduce and improve good practices for quality assurance in partner countries universities.- To establish organized links between universities, administration and society to train professionals, creating labor market days, introducing GIT in tourism industry, promoting local entrepreneurship and establishing the basis to protect, document and disseminate cultural heritage and history.

Another central objective of the project is to create a network involving national authorities, HEIs and other stakeholders to engage in horizontal and vertical collaboration: to this end the national and institutional regulations fostering joint, double or multiple degree implementation and promoting student mobility, credit transfer and recognition will be enhanced and piloted. Strategic revision of the national list of professions enabling the licensing of new, future-oriented, interdisciplinary, and green master’s degree programs, as well as collaboration structures developed will contribute to further initiatives also beyond the project timeframe.The developed national and institutional toolkit enabling collaboration schemes will be tested with newly developed 3 collaborative green educational programs, as well as 9 existing programs which will be reprofiled with green modules.

Activities are aimed at improving the quality of work with youth; it is achieved on the base of raising the level of competence and social and professional growth of youth workers (events А2, А3, А7, А9 are presented in the Annex 1 (file Results.pdf); organizing the work of Youth Entrepreneurship Support Centers (A6); development of cooperation, interaction and exchange of experience between youth organizations, organizations which operate in the field of education, public authorities, as well as business and labor market representatives (A3, A7, A9).2. Activities are aimed at enhancing entrepreneurial potential and participation of youth in the social and economic life of society on the base of the implementation of informal and formal training methods which provide the acquisition of missing skills and competencies which are necessary for successful self-realization in the labor market (A4, A5, A6); interaction and exchange of experience between youth organizations, organizations in the field of education, representatives of government and business (A5, A6, A7, A8, A.9).The project promoted enhancing youth entrepreneurship in the Eastern Partnership countries and EU countries through the exchange of experience, best practices in entrepreneurial activities, increasing the level of development of practical skills and entrepreneurial competencies of both youth and youth workers.This project had positive impact on reducing the imbalance between the demand in the labor market and the quality of education by developing the skills and competencies of both youth and youth workers that are important for competitiveness in the labor market.The project created framework for cooperation, internationalization and the possibility of exchanging experience, establishing links between the Baltic countries of the European Union and the countries of the Eastern Partnership, on the base of which youth can benefit from the study of the best practices and business education.

The subject of Finance was chosen, as it is a crucial factor for economic development and skilled graduates in this field are coveted by the business community and the public sector alike. At the same time studies evidenced a need for reforms with regard to contents, teaching methodologies and the labour market relevance of study programmes. Against this background the specific project objectives were: 1) To reform six existing MA curricula in Finance taking into account the latest international developments in the subject area; 2) To promote the quality and relevance of the MA programmes through the development of updated and new course materials; 3) To further develop the competences and skills of teaching staff through training courses in innovative teaching methodologies and current topics in Finance; 4) To increase the alignment of the MA programmes with labour market requirements. The following core outputs and results were produced during the implementation:- 6 specific guidelines for the reform of the MA programmes; - 6 reformed curricula in Finance (for 109 students in the first cohort and 110 students in the second cohort); - Updated and newly developed teaching materials (48 courses); - 2 intensive training courses for university teachers (48 trained teachers); - 6 career guidance events for students (in cooperation with labour market representatives); - Regular internal and external quality control reports on the outputs/results; - 6 sustainability strategies for the reformed MA programmes; - A project website; - 4 local dissemination workshops (in total 122 participants); - 2 final exploitation conferences (in total 184 participants); - 16 follow-up cooperation arrangements among the consortium HEIs; - 15 follow-up cooperation arrangements between the Partner Country HEIs and industry representatives from the financial sectors in Armenia and Moldova. Selected impacts of the project:- The quality and labour market relevance of 6 MA programmes in Finance in Armenia and Moldova was increased; - The latest international trends in the subject area were incorporated in the programmes (curricula, courses); - The use of teaching methodologies was diversified (trained teachers, new course materials); - The profile of graduates is better aligned with labour market demands (developed competences, skills); - Enhanced competitiveness of the Partner Country HEIs through reformed MA programmes and outreach activities; - Closer ties between HEIs and industry representatives; - Sustainable cooperation among the consortium HEIs (follow-up cooperation agreements and spin-off initiatives).

These new competences refer in particular to the use of advanced ICT solutions for the use of drones and of the data acquired through drones that may go a long way towards the goals and priorities in terms of optimization of the professional competences, that have already been stated in the Social-economic Development Strategy 2020 of all the Parter Countries, and in terms of creating new job opportunities, especially for youth that is strongly encouraged by Europe 2020 strategy as stated in the European Commission Communication “Youth on the Move”. The use of drones by professionals will open new scenarios requiring practical and theoretical knowledge that are beyond the simple driving and mantainance of drones: (i) drone mechanical characteristics, (ii) sensing equipment, (iii) processing and use of the acquired information, and (iv) national and local laws regulating their use. The main objective of the eDrone project is to provide higher education institutions in the Partner Countries with effective and efficient instruments to setup Offices for Education for Drones (OED), for the transferring of all the above mentioned knowledges to professionals of each Partner Country. Moreover, the project aims at realizing an innovative ICT-based infrastructure employing enhanced technologies and methodologies allowing all the Partner Countries to create a network for sharing educational contents and databases to professionals. Such infrastructure will be used to support OED in the technological and scientific transfer to professionals. The Programme Countries will transfer their know-how and expertise for the achievement of the eDrone objectives by training the future teachers of the OED and by supporting them in the first edition of the OED.
