This requires a fully qualified and equipped workforce, capable to implement, execute and perform all the necessary labor actions with understanding of the responsibility of their own profession and actions, as well as the relation with the other involved professions and actions. BIMplement offers the trainers and the learners a range of tools that fit the objective of developing a fully qualified and equipped workforce, capable to implement, execute and perform all the necessary labour actions. Main aim is to achieve an improved quality for NZEB construction and renovation by setting up a large scale, training, CPD and qualification schemes, addressing the entire process phases in a cross-crafts and cross level multidisciplinary approach, strengthened with hands-on and BIM-enhanced workplace learning tools by following objectives: 1. To improve the overall quality of renovations and new constructions, based on a BIM-enabled workplace learning, addressing the entire process phases in a cross-crafts multidisciplinary approach 2. To create a new generation of professionals and craftsmen, equipped and enabled by BIM skills, to enhance the overall quality of construction and renovation across the entire process 3. To foster interactions between different trades and professions enabled by a flexible qualification, certification and accreditation methodology for implementing BIM as a workplace learning environment 4. To sustain the qualification and training schemes a replication and exploitation strategy will be developed and validated At the end of the 2 years project BIMplement has developed a transferable method based on the experience of previous BUS and H2020 Construction Skills projects and on experimentations in territories with craftsmen and small enterprises.

This heat battery allows for better use of available renewables in two ways: 1) bridging the gap between supply and demand of renewables and 2) increasing the efficiency in the energy grid by converting electricity peaks into stored heat to be used later, increasing the energy grid flexibility and giving options for tradability and economic benefits. The main aim of CREATE is to develop and demonstrate a heat battery, ie an advanced thermal storage system based on Thermo-Chemical Materials, that enables economically affordable, compact and loss-free storage of heat in existing buildings. The CREATE concept is to develop stabilized storage materials with high storage density, improved stability and low price, and package them in optimized heat exchangers, using optimized storage modules. Full scale demonstration will be done in a real building, with regulatory/normative, economic and market boundaries taken into account. To ensure successful exploitation, the full knowledge, value, and supply chain are mobilized in the present consortium. It will be the game changer in the transformation of our existing building stock towards near-zero energy buildings. It therefore suffers from low accuracy, low transparency and low efficiency. This leads to delays and errors in planning, design and construction. Several EU countries have developed attempts to push forward the digitalisation of building permit procedures. But none of these have led to complete adoption of digital building permit processes within municipalities. The aim of CHEK is to take away barriers for municipalities to adopt digital building permit processes by developing, connecting and aligning scalable solutions for regulatory and policy context, for open standards and interoperability (geospatial and BIM), for closing knowledge gaps through education, for renewed municipal processes and for technology deployment in order to reach TRL 7. CHEK will do this by providing an innovative kit of both methodological and technical tools to digitise building permitting and automated compliance checks on building designs and renovations in European urban areas and regions. The CHEK consortium consists of a multidisciplinary team covering GIS, BIM, municipal processes and planning, data integration and standardisation. In addition, the consortium is a multisectoral mix of research&education, AEC- and software-companies, governmental institutions, and international standardisation organisations. The multisectoral and multidisciplinary consortium is essential to align and connect all aspects of digital permit processes required to meet the highly ambitious project objectives. Several partners are already collaborating in the European Network for Digital Building Permit (EUnet4DBP). The institutions in the advisory board, representing governments and municipalities of other European countries, will further assist the development, exploitation, and upscaling of results. The best practices and developed software following the logic of OpenAPI will enable replicability in any other European country.
