Core activities: (1) Development and implementation of C4EHP designed in order to ease future collaborations in the field of public health research, health promotion and evidence-based public health policy; (2) Delivery of the Research into Policy training program (modules: public health research, health promotion, evidence-based public health policy); (3) Consolidation of national and local partnerships between the public health academic and non-academic sector to provide trainees with a set of key transferable skills and career development opportunities through networking activities and trainee internship placements. At individual level the Research into Policy training program is expected to improve (1) lecturers and teaching assistants ’ knowledge and skills in evidence-based public health policy and enhance their ability to provide the further dissemination of knowledge by teaching the face-to-face modules within their universities and act as members of C4EHP; (2) trainees’ knowledge and skills on evidence-based public health policies. At institutional level, the project impacts the three Tunisian Universities, as well as the Ministry of Health and its subordonating public health authorities, NGOs and private companies by offering internship placements for trainees. C4EHP has as well a long-term impact in sustaining the network developed between the public and private institutions. At regional and national level, the impact is given by the development of an ecosystem C4EHP based on a communication platform offering a constant communication flow and sharing within all project's participants and beneficiaries.

The OPTIMALE online survey of language industry employers’ competence requirements showed that awareness of and the ability to implement professional procedures throughout the translation process are key factors in the employability of university translation graduates. This led to the definition of good practice in specific areas of translator training, in particular in the integration of professionally-oriented practices in the curriculum. The OTCT project (Optimising Translator Training through Collaborative Technical Translation) aims to enhance the professionally-oriented content of university translation degree programmes via intensive collaborative technical translation sessions in simulated professional conditions (referred to as “Tradutech sessions”), and by exchanging good practice and resources on the implementation of project-based teaching and learning in the field of translator training. The project will involve students and staff in advanced translation degree programmes from seven academic institutions (Rennes 2 University, France; HE Vinci, Brussels, Belgium; Swansea University, UK; Univerzita Karlova V Praze, Prague, Czech Republic; Universitatea Babes-Bolyai, Cluj-Napoca, Romania; Universita ta Malta, Malta; Universidad Pablo de Olavide, Sevilla, Spain). It will primarily involve 1st and/or 2nd year Master’s degree students (i.e. 20-80 students in each institution) but may also involve students in the final year of Bachelor’s degree programmes where relevant (i.e. Sevilla). Two to three members of the teaching staff from each institution will be directly involved, but a larger number will benefit from the outcomes of the project. The project will center on the “Tradutech” intensive sessions, with preparatory activities leading up to the sessions and material from the sessions feeding into further resources for use in the classroom. Four “Tradutech” sessions will take place during the project. Each five-day session will involve students setting up simulated translation companies (i.e. teams of 5-10 students, with specific responsibilities and roles assigned to each team member), who will then carry out large-scale multilingual technical translation projects according to the specifications and deadlines set by their “clients”. Source documents will be authentic technical manuals, reports or multimedia materials which will be translated into the main target language(s) of the partner institutions. The source documents will be in English or French as the case may be. Projects will be managed in turn by students from each partner institution, using collaborative software to exchange resource materials and files and computer-assisted translation software to carry out the translations. Prior to the Tradutech sessions, students will receive training in technical translation, project management, quality control and translation technologies, using resources produced by different partner institutions and shared with the other partners within the project. Participants will be briefed on the conditions and implementation of the Tradutech sessions, using tutorials produced by students from Rennes and Cluj with prior experience of such sessions. A joint terminology project will involve students from all the partner institutions, in order to promote cooperation and familiarize them with the use of the collaborative platform set up for the project. Output from the student “translation companies” will be assessed according to professional criteria by language industry professionals and feedback will be provided to the students and used as learning materials in classes following the Tradutech sessions. All students who have completed a Tradutech session (i.e. have successfully carried out the responsibilities and tasks allocated to them within one or several translation projects) and the preparatory work prior to the session, will be awarded 4 ECTS credits as part of their study programme. Two of Rennes Tradutech sessions will be attended by teaching staff from the other partner institutions, who will take part in a parallel training of trainer session. Two other sessions will be attended by students from the other institutions, who will be integrated as full members of the Rennes teams.Sustainability will be ensured by teaching and learning resource production and dissemination, the training of trainer sessions, and the production of a Handbook on the implementation of project-based translator training which will be made freely available to other institutions. Participating students will benefit from the hands-on experience and professional feedback, while teaching staff will gain experience of project-based collaborative learning methodologies.

The project had 3 main objectives being:1. Exchange best practices in order to improve the common knowledge base of all consortium partners in regards to development programs aimed towards mid-level managers from small, medium and large companies our specialist’s time management, development of a career plan path and communications skills.2. Create a common baseline analysis in regards to the struggles and issues that mid-level managers from small, medium and large companies are confronted in companies from various European countries.3. Identify areas of improvement for the partners’ current leadership training programs, mainly effective communication, feedback, motivation and engagement. The project results and activities were concluded in an international analysis report, covering the issues that mid-level managers from small, medium and large companies located in the partner countries are confronted with. It consist of series of case studies run by each partner organisation. Initially we considered to analyse 18 case studies in the consortium and we succeeded to analyse 20 case studies. Through the international report and the case studies, partners were able to exchange best practices. Furthermore, the best practice approach helped the partners to identify skill gaps within mid-level management. Broader HR skills and technical tools has been identified as the main elements to develop. At the five transnational project meeting we had a total number of 71 participants. The partners also conducted a total of 3 training demos on mid-level management, used to increase knowledge and training capabilities of the participants: educators, trainers, experts and middle managers. At trainings we had a total number of 41 participants. The trainings covered topics that should increase mid-level managers’ leadership skills like: communication, teamwork, delivering feedback and employees’ motivation. A few tools were presented and discussed like: feedback methods, job description forms, evaluation systems of the employees (KPIs system), personality tests. At the end of the project, all partner organizations and our representatives have extended knowledge, from a national to a European level, and we improved our expertise about leadership training."

This along with other difficulties weighs on the researchers who lack the will or power to get more engaged in the public life which further affects the trust in science and research. Breaking the vicious circle is a slow process and should be based on a genuine partnership between the researchers, as promoters of new findings about the world's true nature, the society as a whole, with its most stringent but also subtles needs, and the communication facilitators as a way to surface the unexpressed realities. The partnership, ReCoNnect-ing these different views, should be effective in educating the present citizens, but also shaping the teaching approaches for the members of the future society. This consortium is made up from 6 research institutes, 4 universities, 1 public body, and 2 civil community associations experienced in promoting science and STEM education, which supported the development of one of the largest educational networks in the country in connection also with EU programmes. Together, we propose a highly innovative concept of European Researchers' Night rooted in a long experience with the programme and well supported by the partner's institutions, which we will implement in a nationwide campaign comprising 21 events in representative urban areas. Three UNESCO/aspiring geoparks will organize events in rural areas, while others will be encouraged to participate remotely. Focusing the conversation, we tackle a topic of great interest for the European Union countries: The European Green Deal. We propose to map the current perceptions and expectations of the population on this programme by a large number of encounters with the public, and to better communicate on the endeavors and successes that Romanian researchers have in contributing to the very ambitious goals of the EU programme.
