The project „Introduction of innovative tools for forming the critical thinking among young people through the personal and online storytelling“ brought exceptional innovations. Especially in the fields of critical thinking, changing stereotypes and shaping the attitudes of young people towards vulnerable groups of people at schools and workplaces.Usage of storytelling in education has become one of the most dominant topics on conferences considering quality of education. Throughout the project we established contact with key persons in working and educational fields. They implemented storytelling and tools verified by project into their own educational programs. We have been attesting Innovations in the form of storytelling not even in Slovakia but also in Czech republic, where we have our partner organisation.During validation process we focused on systematic work with universities, elementary schools, high schools, non-profit organisations and companies with high rate of employees, younger than 30. We achieved the objective defined in the project with added value. Not only did we proved the effectiveness of storytelling as an educational tool in various areas, where the youth is formed, but we also created a strong demand for the tool and skills required for implementation. We have extended formerly defined forms of storytelling (personal, written and online) by adding a new tool. We verified the applicability and the impact of innovative educational tool, virtual reality, to be effective when shaping the attitudes of young people towards vulnerable groups of people. Within the project we created, verified and evaluated:written storytelling (17 ebooks created instead of 12) 8 in czech, 9 in slovak language; methodology - how to work with written storytelling methodology for online storytelling videos from Online živá knižnica (Online living library - “OLL”); 80 methodologies and 22 cases of a practise with videos of OLL. We originally scheduled 50+50 methodological materials, but in implementation we found out, there is much greater need to be inspired by existing praxis. Therefore we included stakeholders from universities, schools and non-governmental organisations, to process their own experience into example of good practice. Including support in the form of webinars and methodological videos (available on OLL).online storytelling videos - 49 videos in slovak language, 5 videos in czech language, 9 languages in english language (all of them having slovak, english or czech subtitles), 16 videos are in slovak sign language (Originally we wanted to make 30 czech videos. During realization we asked for a change due to new media laws - necessity to have the translation in language of the broadcasting country).we carried out 4 trainings as a part of dissemination (2 in Czech republic and 2 in Slovak republic) with overall number of participants 67. Focusing on storytelling and youth work in school, out-of-school and working environment. Participants of the training in Slovakia achieved certificate owing to accredited learning program ( EDUMA Bring up- educate- encourage to see, modules: With storytelling to inclusion, With experience to knowing, With stories to social responsibility, With inclusive approach to development. Original plan was to have 24 + 24 participants of the training. for the dissemination purposes, we carried out Festival of Living library (motto: Do not label) in Czech republic and Slovak republic with a huge number of visitors leaving nothing but positive comments. Festival was split into two days. First was specially oriented on teachers and assisting professionals. Second day was dedicated to youth. Festival was based on personal storytelling. Slovak festival participation: 35 living books and their assistants, 27 lecturers providing workshops. << Objectives >>The training project in question will enable the organisation of the Festival of People's Stories. The participants, combining various multimedia communication channels and classical theatrical forms, will present their own narratives about themselves, the Ukrainian nation and culture to Polish and Czech audiences, the purpose of which is to promote the European identity of Ukraine, currently falsified in the pro-Russian mass media.<< Implementation >>Under the training project, public events will be organised as part of the Festival of People's Stories. The results will be presented to organisations dealing with the dissemination of the national heritage of nations threatened with geographic and systemic extermination. << Objectives >>The project is based on the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027, the EU Strategic Framework for Roma Equality, and Inclusion and Participation 2020-30.The aim of the project is to create a format of the Media Incubator, which mediates media literacy for Roma youth, prepares them for media creation using the storytelling technique and subsequently involves them in the creation of media content at www.pribehybezhranic.sk. We want to actively change the media image of the Roma in the SR,the CZR and the EU.<< Implementation >>The pilot format of the Media Incubator implements: 1. media literacy training - working with digital content and developing key competencies in the field of media literacy through stories, sensitization, and critical thinking 2. practical summer training of young Roma media creators 3. creation of educational material and preparation of media outlets of Roma media creators 4. dissemination of the project - presentation and media coverage of the results to the media and the professional public.<< Results >>Quantitative: 1. about 35 pieces of educational materials 2. about 54 media outlets of graduates 3. 12 graduates - media creators 4. about 525 or more participants in online media literacy education 5. number of spectator interactions of media outputs and educational materials 6. number of established media collaborations 7. number of media outlets Qualitative: - a questionnaire survey on project expectations and results of the project - the response of key actors to the dissemination dialogue.

"Our goal is to disseminate verified outputs from the successfully completed project 2016-3-SK02-KA205-001203. It focused on building inclusion and understanding between disadvantaged groups of people and the majority of society in the Slovak and Czech Republic using an online storytelling tool for building critical thinking - Online Live Library. In this project, we want to multiply it as part of the accredited education of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic in the framework of the ""4-vé Academy of Critical Thinking Development"". At the same time, our goal is to disseminate this proven method for building critical thinking in other countries. It is precisely through the dissemination and multiplication of already proven practices using our storytelling tool to build critical thinking that we will be able to open education in a new era of digital skills while improving the higher education system.Current situation/problem that we want to solve by implementing this project:In Slovakia, there is no systematic tool for building critical thinking that would focus on disadvantaged groups of the population. At the same time, people are facing a lot of misinformation, which is spread by conspiracy media. More than half of the teachers would recommend their students to watch disinformation media such as ""Headlines"" and ""Earth and Age"". People in Slovakia are not satisfied with how teachers approach pupils. More than three-quarters (76%) of respondents believe their approach should be improved (Focus survey on a sample of 523 primary school teachers, July 2019). Seven percent of teachers have a predisposition to right-wing extremist politics (Survey Demand for Right-wing Extremism among Teachers at Second Stage of Primary Schools, Focus Agency, April 2019).SolutionAs one of the tools of the Critical Thinking 4-vé Academy, the online living library has proven to help build critical thinking and sensitize its users. It is also recommended by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the SR, namely in the issued Educational and Organizational Instructions for the school year 2019-2020 (https://www.minedu.sk/data/att/14770.pdf), specifically in point 1.5.4. At the same time, we will use the most modern technological tool for building critical thinking - virtual reality. We have professionally filmed 5 stories of people who come from disadvantaged backgrounds - Deaf, blind, young Roma, homeless person and physically handicapped person.Project objectives:The aim of our project is to disseminate the know-how gained by introducing innovations in forming critical youth thinking through storytelling (project K2 implemented 02/2017 - 01/2019) and thus support acceptance of diversity in society and develop critical thinking among young people through proven forms of storytelling.Specific objectives of the project:(a) developing competences in the field of emotional and intercultural education, storytelling and critical thinking for the following target groups:- university teachers,- University students (focusing on future teachers and assisting professionals)- youth workers- international youth workers and training professionals- Employees of companies dealing with CSR in their companiesb) raising public awareness of the lives of people with disabilities and strengthening empathy and critical thinkingFinal beneficiaries of the project: - teachers and students at universities (final beneficiaries of the project), at the same time young people and volunteers who take advantage of the opportunity to participate in the organization of school and extracurricular projects that support the sensitization of youth towards vulnerable groups- people with obstacles in society who convey their life story for learning groups involved in educational activities aimed at disseminating know-howThe results of this project will be disseminated primarily by the participants of training themselves. Subsequently, they will be disseminated secondarily to their surroundings / their colleagues / their pupils, who will learn new information about educational methods as well as the needs of vulnerable groups. At the end of this project, we will continue our work - to train teachers, pupils, the nonprofit sector and business professionals on storytelling and how to build critical thinking about the vulnerable groups around us."
