  • The Human Organ Atlas provides Hierarchical Phase-Contrast Tomography images of human anatomy from the micron to whole organ scale. Human tissue is inherently hierarchical and multiscale with cells, tissues and organs organised into specific structures at each of the levels.

  • This site is a university repository providing access to the publication output of the institution. Some items are open access but most are RAE 2008 submissions and as such are presently only accessible to registered users.

  • VectorBase is a web-accessible data repository for information about invertebrate vectors of human pathogens. VectorBase annotates and maintains vector genomes (as well as a number of non-vector genomes for comparative analysis) providing an integrated resource for the research community. VectorBase contains genome information for organisms such as Anopheles gambiae, a vector for the Plasmodium protozoan agent causing malaria, and Aedes aegypti, a vector for the flaviviral agents causing Yellow fever and Dengue fever. Hosted data range from genome assemblies with annotated gene features, transcript and protein expression data to population genetics including variation and insecticide-resistance phenotypes.

  • PDBsum provides an overview of every macromolecular structure deposited in the Protein Data Bank (PDB), giving schematic diagrams of the molecules in each structure and of the interactions between them.

  • ChEMBL is an open, manually-curated, large-scale bioactivity database integrating data records extracted from medicinal chemistry literature, from deposited data sets, as well as other public data sources. It brings together chemical, bioactivity and genomic data to aid the translation of genomic information into effective new drugs. Information regarding the compounds tested (including their chemical structures), the biological or physicochemical assays performed on these and the targets of these assays are recorded in a structured form, standardized, and annotated with controlled vocabularies to allow users to address a broad range of drug discovery questions.

  • BioModels is a repository of computational models of biological processes. It allows users to search and retrieve mathematical models published in the literature. Many models are manually curated (to ensure reproducibility) and extensively cross-linked to publicly available reference information.
