Gladius publishes scientific contributions on the following subjects: Arms and Armour, Military History and Polemology, from the earliest times until the end of the Eighteenth century, mainly in the Iberian Peninsula, Europe, Islam and the Americas, although other contributions will be considered. It also contains a section on scientific discussion and reviews.

Archivo Español de Arte, a specialized quarterly journal publishing only original articles, was founded in 1925 by the “Council for the Furtherance of Scientific Studies and Research” (Junta para la Ampliación de Estudios e Investigaciones Científicas). Archivo Español de Arte is dedicated to research in all areas of the history of Spanish Art and foreign art in relation to Spain, from the Middle Ages to the present. This publication is oriented preferably to the research and university community, both national and international, as well as to all professionals in the art field.

Hispania Sacra appeared in 1948. Since then it has been publishing research articles on Religious History, following the course and changes in Historiography. Hispania Sacra publishes articles related to History of Religion, with special emphasis on the Hispanic World, written in Spanish, English, French, Italian, or Portuguese. It continues the task and orientation of Missionalia Hispanica.

Founded in 1951, Anales Cervantinos holds contributions on the thoughts and views around the figure of Cervantes, not only on the man and his work, but also on every aspect in his background: the society, the scenary, the times... With sections such as Studies, Notes, Books reviews, etc, Anales Cervantinos is the only monographic scientific Journal in Spain dedicated to author of Don Quixote.

Since 1945 Estudios Geologicos publishes original research works, as well as reviews, about any topic on Earth Sciences. Estudios Geologicos is currently a full open-access journal and publishes one yearly volume, divided into two half-yearly issues. It is edited by the Spanish National Research Council (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC) at the Instituto de Geociencias (CSIC-UCM).

The Journal of AL MAYADINE AL IKTISSADIA (JMI) is a peer reviewed and international journal covers a wide range of issues related to Economics, Finance, Business Management and Accounting. The Journal is published by the Faculty of Economics, Commercial Sciences and Management Sciences, University of Algiers 3. It is interested in both theoretical and applied research of scientists and academics, as well as of Doctoral students. The Journal of AL MAYADINE AL IKTISSADIA (JMI) is an Open Access Journal that can be accessed and downloaded online for free. The JMI is published in both Arabic and English languages in one issue per year (December). The purpose of JMI is to give researchers a venue to impart their knowledge to one another, and contribute what they can to the design of improving knowledge. It is designed to publish original and high-quality research work that will cast light in contemporary issues and will pave the way for the application of new and different solutions. In this context, the JMI is bound to have a distinctive interdisciplinary profile, destined to cover a wide variety of topics spanning from Economics to Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Insurance, Risk Management, Auditing, Banking and International Economics.

Since 1940, Revista de Indias is a a wellknown forum for debates in the History of America targeted to specialized readers. It publishes original articles aimed at improving knowledge, encouraging scientific debates among researchers, and promoting the development and diffusion of state-of-the-art investigation in the field of the History of America. The contents are open to different topics and study areas such as social, cultural, political and economical, encompassing from the Pre-Hispanic world to the present Ibero-American issues. The Journal publishes articles in Spanish, English and Portuguese. Besides the regular issues, one monographical issue is published every year.

Sefarad has been published since 1941. It was established as a journal of Hebrew and Judaic Studies by Francisco Cantera Burgos (Madrid) and José María Millás Vallicrosa (Barcelona). It appears semi-annually, with about a total of 500 pages of original articles and book reviews on Philology and Textual criticism of the Hebrew Bible (and its various translations, transcriptions and Commentaries); Philology and Linguistics of the Hebrew and Aramaic Languages; History and Culture of the Jews in Spain; and Language, Literature and the Cultural Creativity of the Sephardim.

Founded in 1944, Revista de Dialectología y Tradiciones Populares is now the oldest journal in Spain devoted to social and cultural anthropology. Aimed at international specialists in the field, this scientific publication sets particular store by innovative contributions to anthropological research in theory and methodology, adopting a broad and plural approach. It publishes original articles which contribute to anthropological knowledge and enrich the critical debate among researchers, paying special attention to theoretical and methodological input and to field ethnography. Every issue contains a section entitled “Articles”, while “Ethnography emergent” and “Cartographies” appear in alternate issues. Other non-fixed sections include “In a few words”, “Sources and testimonies” and “Book reviews”. Revista de Dialectología y Tradiciones Populares considers ethnography a complex “emerging” process where feedback dynamics are at work between a series of dimensions, including between: theory and practice, reality and text, research designs and changing situations, field scenarios and the application of research techniques, the standpoint of the researcher and that of the informant, or between the researcher and the audience receiving their text. In view of its public-service commitment, the journal gives priority to texts that help portray the anthropology of the present and the future. It therefore publishes articles which (a) are anchored in ethnographic fieldwork, covering everything from local studies to cyberspace, and using techniques that range from the conventional to the most innovative; (b) propose solid, updated theoretical structures that facilitate the understanding and interpretation of empirical data in a comparative global framework; and (c) take a bold approach, capable of outlining and opening up new horizons for the discipline. All of this must meet the strictest standards of theoretical and methodological rigour.
