  • OGEE is an Online GEne Essentiality database. Gene essentiality is not a static and binary property, rather a context-dependent and evolvable property in all forms of life. In OGEE, we collect not only experimentally tested essential and non-essential genes, but also associated gene properties that contributes to gene essentiality. Note from the FAIRsharing team: we have classified the status of the resource as 'uncertain' because access to this resource appears to be insecure. We are making every effort to engage with the resource owners to understand if it is a temporary issue or if the resource is no longer active.

  • Plant Transcription Factor Database (PlantTFDB) provides a resource of plant transcription factors (TFs), regulatory elements and interactions between them. In the latest version, It contains 320 370 TFs, classified into 58 families, from 165 species. Abundant functional and evolutionary annotations (e.g., GO, functional description, binding motifs, cis-element, regulation, references, orthologous groups and phylogenetic tree, etc.) are provided for identified TFs. In addition, multiple online tools are set up for TF identification, regulation prediction and functional enrichment analyses.

  • Spatial Transcript Omics DataBase (STOmics DB) is a repository of literature and datasets related to spatial transcriptomics topics, and provides convenient tools for data analysis, search and visualization. Standards for spatial transcriptomic data archiving have been developed and used to construct a spatial transcriptomic data archiving system. Additionally, serving as a one-stop hub for spatial transcriptomics, STOmicsDB has the capability to create dedicated sub-databases for researchers, assisting them in visualizing their spatial transcriptomic analyses. STOmicsDB is intended to be an aid for data archiving, sharing, visualization and analysis.

  • The Genome Warehouse (GWH) is a public archival resource housing genome-scale data for a wide range of species. GWH accepts a variety of data types, including whole genome, chloroplast, mitochondrion and plasmid. For each collected genome assembly, GWH incorporates descriptive information including biological sample metadata, genome assembly metadata, sequence data and genome annotation, and offers standardized quality control for genome sequence and annotation.

  • IVDB hosts complete genome sequences of influenza A virus generated by BGI and curates all other published influenza virus sequences after expert annotations. IVDB provides a series of tools and viewers for analyzing the viral genomes, genes, genetic polymorphisms and phylogenetic relationships comparatively.

  • GigaDB is a data repository supporting scientific publications in the Life/Biomedical Sciences domain. GigaDB organises and curates data from individually publishable units into datasets, which are provided openly and in as FAIR manner as possible for the global research community. Originally GigaDB primarily served as a repository to host data and tools associated with articles in GigaScience Press. GigaDB defines a dataset as a group of files (e.g., sequencing data, analyses, imaging files, software programs) that are related to and support an article or study. Through our association with DataCite, each dataset in GigaDB will be assigned a DOI that can be used as a standard citation for future use of these data in other articles by the authors and other researchers. Datasets in GigaDB all require a title that is specific to the dataset, an author list, and an abstract that provides information specific to the data included within the set. We encourage detailed information about the data we host to be submitted by their creators in ISA-Tab, a format used by the BioSharing and ISA Commons communities that we work with to maintain the highest data and metadata standards in our journal. To maximize its utility to the research community, all datasets in GigaDB are placed under a CC0 waiver.
