They develop, deploy and operate wireless sensing systems customized for long-term autonomous operation in high-mountain environments. Around this central element they develop concepts, methods and tools to investigate and to quantify the connection between climate, cryosphere (permafrost, glaciers, snow) and geomorphodynamics. It is a platform for the archiving and sharing of primary data and outputs of all kinds, including epidemiological and experimental data, from research on the effects of radiation. It also provides a directory of bioresources and databases containing information and materials that investigators are willing to share. STORE supports the creation of a radiation research commons.

Data on temporal and spatial distribution of marine litter, of the concentration of nutrients, organic matter, pesticides, heavy metals, radionuclides and antifoulants in the water column, in the sediment and in biota.

As a CoreTrustSeal-certified repository, FORS adheres to internationally recognised standards of responsible data stewardship, ensuring that research data are managed, stored, and made accessible in a secure and sustainable manner, both now and in the future. FORS supports Swiss social science researchers and institutions by offering expert guidance on data management, documentation, and sharing. It fosters a culture of secondary data use and transparency by acquiring, curating, and disseminating high-quality quantitative and qualitative datasets. In addition to its repository services, FORS conducts large-scale surveys and methodological research, and collaborates with international partners to promote global access to trustworthy and reusable research data. FORS shares data with SWISSUbase, but is a distinct entity.

  • The Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) is a worldwide system established by the World Meteorological Organization, a United Nations agency, to monitor trends in the Earth's atmosphere. GAWSIS is the official catalogue of GAW stations and Contributing networks. It provides the GAW community and other interested people with an up-to-date, searchable data base of : station characteristics, measurements programs and data available, instrument, contact people, bibliographic references. GAWSIS also serves as a repository for supporting documents.
