Moreover, important elements of the project were linking up education to a real environment, and teamwork at school and international level. The vast majority of activities were focused on group and collective learning in different environments, so the number of pupils involved was high. The project was going on two levels, school and international. The school part of the project was based on regularity, everyday activities, pupil's own motivation and participation calls. The project consisted of a number of sub-activities that ran continuously throughout the school year and were presented on the project website. These activities included class projects focusing on natural sciences and ICT subjects, lectures, discussions, as well as exhibitions and excursions to museums and science centers. The second level was represented by cooperation with our partner schools. Each partner school chose one topic from STEM. The school together with the local community prepared a five-day conference programme on the topic. The programme included workshops, discussions, competitions, exhibitions, cultural events, museum visits, meetings with experts, etc. The project focused not only on cognitive educational goals, but also on affective and social ones. Pupils learned to use their abilities, skills and knowledge, to find creative solutions and to create a positive relationship and motivation to study natural sciences and technical subjects. Pupils also learned to present results of their work both in the school environment and at international events. Thanks to the project, pupils also developed their cooperative and communication skills and met pupils from other European countries and learned mutual respect.

The partner schools have decided to work together on incorporating CLIL method into teaching Maths, Science, ICT and other subjects (Economics, Mechanics, Building) as they want to show the students that before-mentioned subjects, often believed to be challenging or even difficult to learn, may become an attractive adventure, which can both increase their English fluency and their chances for a better and more rewarding future career. We believe the project is needed due to the importance of mathematical and scientific literacy in todays world of employment, as well as the prime role of English language, which cannot be underestimated in becoming a successful European citizen. Learning together what CLIL method consists of and how it helps in everyday teaching is our main goal as we are able to share experience, use peer-to-peer learning and learn from the partners` good practice. There is a great benefit from the international cooperation for the partner schools because we can see the topic from a number of various perspectives, we can practice newly-aquired activities together, analyse them and give feedback to our partners. We have planned 8 project meetings, including 2 teachers training meetings, which enable the teachers to learn about CLIL method, activities useful at the lesson, ways of motivating students and effective lesson planning. 6 students` meetings, organised in each partner school focus on practising the activities, as well as teaching students social skills such as: group work, problem solving, working to deadline, communication in a foreign language, organisig activities and presentation. The meetings will also be a great chance to experience cultures of partner countries, visit places connected with their history, geography and culture. 24 students aged 15-19 from each school, including those with fewer chances, are going to be directly involved in project meetings. Neverthless, a few times larger groups will take part in the project being engaged into organising the meetings and being a subject of the practice lessons with CLIL. Mainly the teachers of: Maths, ICT, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English will be directly involved in the project but there will also be other subject teachers taking part in the project activitites. Apart from learning, teaching and training meetings we are going to practise all the techniques at the lesson, record them and analyse together during video conferences. These lessons will be based on active, student-centered methods with extended use of ICT tools, such as Moodle platform, Quizlet, Hot Potato and many others. We plan to prepare a digital guide to CLIL, which will include plenty of useful materials, tips, lesson plans and online sources. There is also a project blog, which will be regularly written and published on Twin Space on eTwinning platform. Each project meeting will be followed by evaluation and dissemination of the project results. The final conference is going to be held during the last meeting in Poland. The project will be highly beneficial for partner school as implementing CLIL method into our teaching will: make the lessons of Maths and Science subjects more attractive, show the students that combining content learning with a language can improve their attractiveness in further education and employment, ecourage students not to drop learning these subjects too early through showing them how important they are in their future work career. There will also be countless benefits for the teachers and students such as: increased fluency in English, learning tolerance, open-mindedness, self-confidence, international cooperation and a possibility to meet new people and experience new places and cultures. ""Hand to hand with CLIL"" is a project which can improve the quality of teaching in all partner schools, make them more attractive and student-friendly, more modern and open to new experiences, as well as more internationally-twisted."

The topic of our project is associated with 2015 Paris Declaration on supporting citizenship and the common values of independence, tolerance and non-discrimination during education. Some of the priorities are” inclusive education, equal opportunity and non-discrimination”and “overcoming discrimination, racism, bullying, violence and stereotypes”in in the strategic framework for European collaboration in education and training.(ET 2020)After finding out the bullying fact around Europe, one partner school made a survey at school and asked a question to learners :“have you ever bullied or cyberbullied or know a friend who have been bullied?”. %35 of the pupils replied as “Yes”. To share useful solutions with other European schools and exhange good practices in order to resist bullying, the Turkish school formed a post on e-twinning and 6 schools with the same purpose gathered. There are 6 (primary and secondary) schools from Poland, Turkey, Macedonia, Crotia , Bulgaria and Portugal as partner schools in our project. Approximately 8000 students, 500 teachers and 200 SEN students from 6 partner schools will take part directly or indirectly during the project. During the first meeting in Turkey where we will explain the dissemination , implementation of the project and next LTTS. There will be two short term joint staff trainings in Portugal and Turkey and 4 short term pupil exchange activities in N.Macedonia,Bulgaria, Poland and Crotia. We will also arrange a final meeting in Poland LTT in which we will write the final report. Detailed outcomes and outputs are the website and the twinspace, the anti-bullying app, short educational movies by students and their parents, songs composed by students on “do not bully, be my buddy” , posters designed by pupils on”together against bullying”, board game, a handbook about bullying,t-shirt designs, “ dream a school atmosphere, draw and paint it” competition, a project logo, a project mascot, a calendar created with the drawings of the winner of the painting activity “Dream a school atmosphere without bullying, draw and paint it”, a digital book, an e-twinning project similar to our KA229 project and the website of our project. The project will help to increase the appreciation of bullying against children, cyberbullying and to respect diversity at schools, to improve friendship and empathy between the students of different European countries, to enlarge intercultural appreciation. Our aim is to work on bullying matter in an international level. Because we think that exchanging opinions and experiences will show new ways to us to feel ourselves as European citizens. Our purposes of the project are to decrease bullying at schools by %10 by transnational teacher trainings, pupils and parents activities and transnational pupil exchanging activities; to share European good practices; to make the participants be conscious of rights of the child ,discrimination and bullying; to raise the level of consciousness about bullying and to improve anti-bullying school policy; to compare the reasons and results of bullying at schools , to widespread peace and mutual empathy between students ; to increase the level of intercultural consciousness and conversations among different ethnic groups, migrants and refugees with the help of project activities such based on music and art which are the global languages of communication; to try to understand others by standing against preconception and discrimination; to develop students’ and teachers’ digital abilities, their foreign language efficiencies ; to enrich intercultural awareness and to learn empathy and to stand against preconception. While conducting this project, critical thinking, team and peer works, previous and last surveys, observation forms, presentations, handbook, evaluation forms after each LTT and the final report will be used as methodologies. The estimated outcomes are; a website, eTwinnig site, youtube films, an app, a digital book/calendar, a board game as well as: raising the interest to learn English, powerful emotion of belonging to “the European community”, decreased severity in partner schools, e currently improved anti-bullying school policy, raising the academic success of pupils who have been bullied before, better ICT abilities, higher adaptation of teachers in European educational community. However, finally our biggest wish is that teachers and parents will be able to learn their roles and duties to cope with bullying. In long term, the severity at partner schools will be on the fall of with the help of the activities about friendship and empathy messages in this project. After the project finishes, the pupils and teachers will probably continue working on these languages.Their ICT abilities will develop and this make them to use their developed abilities in their lives, jobs and new EU projects.
