Project “Rights at Work, Work on Rights” has been implemented from December 1, 2018 till November 30, 2019 in partnership of Development Center for Youth, Trade Union of Administration of the Republic of Serbia, Trade Union of Administration of Republika Srpska, Trade Union of Administration and Judiciary of Montenegro, Trade Union of UPOZ of North Macedonia, Center for Advanced Studies of SEE – University of Rijeka, as well as the associations Trade Union Education Center from Banja Luka, the Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA from Prilep, Budva Foundation and YouthWatch from Bratislava (i.e. 6 countries – Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia and Slovakia). It combined youth, trade union and educational sector demonstrating that only multi-sectoral synergetic approach could lead to genuine changes and progress in regard to project topic.Aim of the project was to make a comprehensive analysis on youth awareness of their rights in work environment (labor rights), and then to launch a series of educational activities among young workers through peer education, as well as a wider campaign aimed at informing young people how to protect their rights and promote them among peers. We have started from the premise that work satisfaction consists an important part of overall life satisfaction of young individual, at the same time believing that a satisfied young worker is the most productive one, and with intention to contribute jointly to establishment of a work environment tailored to young person’s needs. In regard to that, consortium goal was to contribute to empowerment of young people to protect and promote their labor rights as significant segment in the overall corpus of human rights.Since precise data in relation to the level of youth information on their labor rights in countries involved have been missing, and we wanted to have genuine evidence-based activity corresponding to current situation among youth, overall process started with research activities.Once we obtained relevant data, we were able to finalize/fine-tune the agenda of the educational process to follow, putting the focus on issues underlined as most important ones by young people themselves during the research. We decided for introduction of non-formal education into world of young trade union activists and therefore, educational process has been based on training for future peer educators, providing them on one side proper knowledge and information in relation to the topic, and on another side – skills and practical tools relevant for their future acting in the role of peer educators. Further transfer of knowledge and information has been provided two-fold:1. through local educational activities – workshops implemented by peer educators in their work environments and trade union units (having acc.600 young people as their direct beneficiaries) and2. through extensive media campaign reaching not only different categories of youth, but also wider audience regardless their age/social status (having acc. 3,5 million of people as indirect beneficiaries). We had two important benchmarks within the process - consultative meeting of peer educators aimed at their exchange of experience from field actions and final conference aimed at presentation of results achieved and bringing closer different stakeholders interested for topic. Both events resulted in set of conclusions and recommendations.Activities resulted in: national report and regional overview with precise data prepared; 24 young trade union activists (and 12 representatives from partner organizations) equipped with knowledge and skills to act as peer educators; 40 local workshops held with more than 600 young people informed on project topics; more than 500 announcements in media of different format reaching acc. 3,5 million of people in countries involved; video material (central spot and 10 tutorials with FAQ), as well as animation and brochure.

Learning of the experiences of different European countries will be crucial in delivering the innovative outputs of this project. The overall aim of the project is to: Increase quality of youth work in preventing NEET in Europe. Through the project partners will strive to achieve the specific objective of the project to: Introduce innovative early career guidance methodology as a sustainable tool for prevention of young people becoming NEET.As the project objective is to introduce innovative early career guidance methodology as a sustainable tool for prevention of young people becoming NEET, this project will deliver significant input in developing innovative approach in early career guidance in favor of prevention of NEETs. The innovation in this matter is that this project will bring together the experiences of early career guidance in the non-formal and formal education, and will bridge them in providing recommendations on positive and innovative approaches in defining methodology on early career guidance in preventing youth becoming NEETs. The research will show different perspectives and approaches of early career guidance around Europe, both in formal or informal education, and will provide useful recommendations not only for the partner organizations but also to all practitioners and youth workers out there that want to address prevention of NEET using early career guidance methods. With the analysis the researchers should provide recommendations on defining methodology that will be applicable both in formal and non-formal education, which is efficient, and cost effective, that can be easily adapted by the interested stakeholders without expensive training programme.Partners will have a challenge to put the recommendations developed with the first intellectual output into practice and therefore to develop unique early career guidance methodology to be used and easily adapted both by educational institutions, professional practitioners and youth workers. Moreover, they will work together in order to draw off the methodology into gamification and developing of youth friendly game that will guide young people into their career development and improving their employability with less physical contact with youth workers and practitioners. First this innovative methodology will be piloted in Macedonia through the youth information and counselling centers in Prilep and Kavadarci, in Portugal with the students of the Aveiro University and in Poland with young people through the youth information of Association Education by the Internet - Eurodesk Local Relay in Kielce. In order to make sure that this methodology is adequate to the needs and requirements of young people, the process will be combined with short-term blended mobility in which young people with social and economic obstacles will participate. Three multiplier events (conferences) will be organized in order to disseminate project outputs and outcomes.Through successful implementation, the project will contribute towards improving career development for youth in danger of getting in NEET situation through piloting new innovative and common methodology on early career guidance through gamification in Macedonia, Portugal and Poland, will influence on the collaboration and communication between young people, youth workers and university professors working in the field and/or with youth for practical implementation of new innovative methodology on early career guidance as mechanism for prevention of NEETs, and therefore on decreasing the rate of youth unemployment on long-term.The impact of the project activities and deliverables will ensure the sustainability of the action. The sustainability of these gamification methods/derives of the adapted procedures for youth programme to be implemented by 2 youth information centers (Macedonia), one public university (Portugal) and one NGO/Eurodesk Local Relay (Poland). They will provide innovative and youth friendly approach in career guidance of youth in their transition from education to employment. We expect a number of the member organizations of ERYICA and Eurodesk to multiply the proposed methodology for prevention of NEETs which will further contribute in the sustainability of the action. On policy level, the continuous lobbying and advocacy for active measures on early prevention of NEETs will influence on increasing the number of users of active employment governmental measures addressing the needs of young people in NEET.employment governmental measures addressing the needs of young people in NEET."

"Young people are the key to the future of Europe and represent a huge potential for innovation in the labor market leading to an improvement in Europe’s competitiveness and, thus, economic recovery. It is in the young generation that we find the ‘digital natives’ who approach digital technologies without deference, and who have a keen sense for the new opportunities provided by these technologies. In 2018, more than 5.5 million young people (15-24 years) were neither in employment nor in education or training (NEET) in EU and there were 11% of early school leavers. According to Eurostat, Young people neither in employment nor in education and training aged 15-29, total unemployment rate in Macedonia for 2015 is 32.5%, compared Poland 14.6% and EU28 14.8%. As a result, political attention has increasingly been focused on boosting the employment of young people in Macedonia through a combination of employment, education and social assistance policies. Promoting youth entrepreneurship is one response to the challenges portrayed above. The policy rationale for attaching high hopes to such efforts is that if young people can be empowered to take charge of their own lives and careers, and if they can change their attitude towards initiative and learn how to seize opportunities. National governments have launched considerable efforts to pursue the objective of promoting entrepreneurship among young people, and initiatives to boost youth entrepreneurship are given a significant role in supporting the main goals of the Europe 2020 strategy for growths and jobs. These initiatives have mainly focused on strengthening the capacity of formal education systems to provide pupils and students with entrepreneurial and innovative skills, attitudes and values. There is a growing realization that entrepreneurial attitudes and values are often achieved outside the formal education system through youth work (including self-organised projects by young people). In this sense, youth work presents itself as a promising opportunity for combining traditional approaches to the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship with work targeting disadvantaged groups of young people and aiming at social activation and inclusion. Youth work appears to offer untapped potentials for developing the resources of NEETs through activities conducted by youth workers in a supportive setting. The needs of youth workers on the other side is crucial to understand how digitization is shaping the societies, including its impact on youth work and on young people. Youth workers needs to be able to take young people's digital cultures into account in youth work practices. The project ""DYOUTH Expedition"" will bring together consortium consisted of partners from Macedonia and Poland that will work on enhancing the quality of digital youth work in prevention of NEET among youth through exchange of best practices for combining both offline and online methods in entrepreneurial learning. The overall aim of the project is to: Increase quality of digital youth work in empowering youth to become active citizens in the society. Through the project partners will strive to achieve the specific objective of the project to: Exchange of best practices through producing e-learning toolkit for enhancing entrepreneurship among youth as a sustainable and valuable tool for prevention of social exclusion of youth. From one side the project involves national network of youth organizations with significant experience in promotion of entrepreneurship in Macedonia, while on the other hand we have organization from Poland which mission is to promote and practice education through internet. Both partners committed to share their experiences and best practices in their field of expertise in order to develop useful product for youth workers that will provide methodology for implementing workshops in entrepreneurship with combining offline and online methods, thus promoting use of digital youth work and ITC. Project foresees LTTA that will gather youth workers from Macedonia and Poland that will learn form the best practices and experiences of their colleagues from both countries. This activity will contribute in developing feasible and realistic youth work services to young people especially those endangered of becoming NEETs. The impact of this training will be well creation and piloting of new e-learning tool DYOUTH expedition for youth workers in order to and provide high quality youth work services to the young people in NEET situation. 140 local youth from Poland and Macedonia will attend workshops in entrepreneurship. The E-Learning Toolkit for enhancing entrepreneurship among youth will contribute in enhancing the sustainability of the youth organizations involved, and will be disseminated to over 5000 youth workers in Europe."

Digital youth participation empowers young people to become active citizens from local to European level. However, the positive effects only unfold when the participation process is run professionally – just to use digital tools is not enough to inspire young, administrations and youth organizations to collaborate. Unfortunately, potential initiators often lack experience, personnel and financial resources needed to plan and conduct a successful e-participation project. This is a reason why first-time pilot projects may fail due to the many unknown challenges and efforts, leading to frustration among participants. The Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project “DIGY - Digital youth participation made easy” aims to tackle this problem by delivering qualification and capacity building for initiators of digital youth participation projects. The materials designed will be integrated into the OPIN platform, a professional online tool-box for digital youth participation that is already available in 10 European languages. Thus, the European-wide infrastructure for digital youth participation is strengthened and enriched by modules to increase the know-how on how to run a successful digital youth participation project. This is realized in various ways: - by establishing a vivid community of project initiators on OPIN: a space for peer-to-peer knowledge exchange, collaboration and advice (“Opin Community and Forum”). - by designing high-quality online learning materials and trainings, consisting of text-based resources as well as audio and video materials (“e-Learning Materials and Section”). The materials will support initiators in the project planning and implementation phase of their project.- by creating a “Best Practice Living Lab” which will develop a Best Practice example section on OPIN,- as well as a “Re-design of the Opin Platform”, by optimizing the navigation and user interface on the platform and improving the administrator workflow for setting-up and configuring a new project. The Section for Best Practice examples and e-learning materials will be created and the platform will be optimized for the display of various formats, such as audio- and video files.Through all these activities, DIGY will in the long term contribute to a lively landscape of digital youth participation in Europe. With OPIN, a professional yet cost-free and easy-to-use tool is available and well-known in the community. Youth worker benefit from a new qualification and professional development, the number of fairly executed participation projects increases and by this, the inherent potential of youth participation unfolds in all European countries. Young people who participate in the projects will experience an increase of communication skills, media literacy and democratic competencies. The positive interaction with decision-makers leads to a growth of trust in democratic processes and institutions which in turn encourages active citizenship and public engagement. The result has a stabilizing and activating effect on the political system. The platform will be open to be used for free by any person or institution during the duration of the project and after the project termination. The results of the project will be developed by a consortium of 7 partners from all over Europe, who bring in valuable country-specific knowledge and experiences which will be fed-in to the creation of the IOs. Besides experts on participation like nexus, the coordinator, who is since 20 years giving consultancy on participation and doing scientific research in the field and Liquid Democracy, the technical provider and one of the first players in digital youth participation in Europe, the consortium includes 4 youth organizations from Macedonia, Georgia, Slovenia and Malta, who will pilot the DIGY results. Additionally with CREATIVITAS an Erasmus+-proven dissemination partner is on board to make sure that the project results are reaching youth organizations all over Europe.
